Just another bump up here
Meara got her pump and we are still fine tuning the levels but she is doing ok.
DF's bestie has gone. I asked him for rent and he decided to not pay us and live in his car (not sure if I've already told you guys this - d'oh) so DD1 has moved into the caravan and is paying us rent now. Only $25 per week but that is more than he ever paid us. Says a lot hey when she is only 16 and he was nearly 50!!!!! We have moved rooms around again (nesting much lol) and DS1 is now in DD1's old room, DD2 and DD3 are in the boys old, bigger room and DS2 is in the girls old room. Phew it was a massive effort to move all that furniture and my belly was getting in the way heaps lol. Oh well at least we know that 3 rooms are very clean now ;) Another appointment for me tomorrow with midwife and then endocrinologist and hopefully they will say I'm doing fine on the insulin and that I don't have to go on any other one. I'll try to get weighed again too lol so I know if I'm putting on any or still losing :)
How is everyone doing????
CW how is Hazel and Olive going??
Hope you all are well and take care xxx
-
Where is everyone??????
I have gone up on my insulin and probably will again. I have lost more weight so now have only put on 2.8kgs .
I got the application sent off for the cord storage so now just have to save up for the rest. Our fridge has packed it in though and we are using the freezer part as the fridge. We can't afford to either get it fixed or buy another one just yet so are just putting up with it.
Meara has turned into a little sod. Tonight she has squeezed out half a tube of toothpaste all over herself and the floor and then when I put her in the shower she decided to try to empty the new shampoo bottle down the drain as well :wall: Smacks don't seem to make any difference so I think the naughty corner it is.
How is everyone else?? What has been happening?? I need my goss lol

Hi Kim,
We are going good here, super hectic but good. Off to Sydney to have Hazels tongue tie snipped next week so that will be pretty full on. She is feeding well despite the t-t though and was 5.5kgs already on tuesday so is still a chubba bubba. Her beautiful mop of dark hair gets so many comments and tbh it's getting a little annoying but she is a real cutie. Hazel also adores her big sis and smiles and coos at her all the time. She sleeps good stretches at night and is generally gorgeous.
Olive is so funny and loves her baby sister. The jealous streak is definitely coming out though and she just hates it that i can't play with her all the time anymore. She is starting to push the buttons more but she is 2 and i expect that anyway. We use time out here or threaten to put her in her room if she isn't listening which usually works. I so wish Olive would still have a day sleep, it drives us mad as her behaviour just goes down hill after 4pm and the arvos can be very long indeed. I love watching Olive's personality develop and wonder what Hazel will be like when she grows up.
I'm recovering well. I can't believe it's been 4wks already. It's nice on Olive's daycare days to just watch and marvel at Hazel because i feel you don't get that with no 2 anywhere near as much. I'm finding having 2 easier then i thought though and feel pretty good energy wise.
How many weeks have you got to go Kim?
Hi to everyone else.
-
Wow CW I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already. It's good that Hazel is a gorgeous baby and sleeps well. Makes things a lot easier. Hope her little op goes well too.
I have anywhere from 5 to 7 weeks left now. They won't let me go over date, due to the GD, but they are talking about an induction at 39 weeks if I don't go earlier. I have to have a growth scan on the 28th of this month to check out Frogglette and make sure my placenta is still working properly so at least I get to see my girl again and maybe update the 4D pics I have of her. If I find out after all of this that she is a boy I'll scream lol. My poor boobies are so sore and getting bigger. I can't afford any new bras atm so am making do with the ones I have but they are very tight. By the end of the day I'm very uncomfortable and can't wait to take it off ;)
I'm hoping others pop in soon and fill in the goss as well
Take care all
-
Ok I seem to be the only one posting in here lately lol. I have about 19 days left :o The dr informed me that they will induce me between 38 and 39 weeks instead because I'm on the insulin. Trying to get everything done in time. That puts bubs being born in the Easter week so not long to go at all.
Hope everyone is well and coping ok
Take care

wow Kim! That went quick! Faaaaaaaaar out!
I'm still trying to get UTD, doesn't seem to be working really, LOL. oh well, Jboy and my Biccies keep me busy enough.
seems like everyone I know is having babies lately, I refuse to let it get to me but sometimes... anyway.
Jacob almost has a head FULL of curls now, its so gorgeous, INEVER want to get his hair cut! hehehe, DP wants to shave it, Im like now way in my life!! I dont care if people are silly enough to think he is a girl (yes, I do get asked occasionally) Its not like he is dressed in pink or anything!
Still no T happening here, he doesnt want to wear nappies, but doesnt want to use the potty or the toilet...I will just wait a bit more I think.
-
Hey girls!!
OMG Kim, I also didnt realise it was almost D day for you!! How exciting!!
SS - Jacob is just the cutest and i dont think he looks like a girl at all!!
AFM - Still pregnant. Im hoping to find out what Im having on the 2nd May, so not too far away!! DD is great and is fully toilet trained (during the day) which is great. Took her 3 weeks from start to finish :) Shes so grown up now and never shuts up lol. She can count to 30 and say the ABC. She recognises all letters and numbers and is getting right into her drawing. She loves to draw people, houses and cats mainly. Shes a clever lil girl and also knows all her colours... Im actually wishing i could freeze time :( i didnt expect my baby to grow up so quick! Daylight savings is ****ing me off abit as shes been waking up early and that sucks as it is but sucks even more when your pregnant. Im hoping to get her to sleep abit longer in the morning by darkening her room abit more.
ummmmm I think thats it really...
-
i only just noticed this thread! i have been missing you all
Kim - woohooo not long to go now! bet your getting excited!
Starry - never ever cut JBoys hair! it is way way too cute!
MM - oh man may is too long long way away can't u find out now! LOL
AFU - well Miss B has gone up a grade in Kindy - apparently she is far to advanced for her age group so we are very proud of her of course! and she is doing awesome with going to the toilet! she is now pretty much full time in undies except for night time and than she is in pull ups - but is usually dry in the morning so maybe we could try undies of a night time, but im not quite game yet! we still have some accidents with poo's tho! but apart from that she is pretty good!
Miss Emily is now 4.5months old and is......................................... CRAWLING! Yes no joke she got up on all 4's yesterday and took a few crawls forward and went further today! must they grow up so fast?????
Me - well im in second year of uni and almost finished my 1st semester so almost half way through my degree! have had the priveledge of delivering a few bubs by myself which was totally the best!
and um i think that is it from us!!
Kim - can't wait to hear your announcement!!!
-
Wow Kim that did go so fast! Funny how everyone says that but for us it tends to feel like your pg forever.
How are you feeling about the induction? Do you feel more comfortable with that then a c-section? An Easter week bub will certainly be hectic but i'm guessing life with 6 kids will be hectic anyway? :) Are you still definite on the name?
Starry - just checked out your fb link. Your biccies are absolutely gorgeous!!! How do you find they post? Do they end up melted or anything? I love the card idea, a much more useful way to go. Excellent business idea. Definitely don't let your DH shave Jacobs head. A nice haircut will do the job when your ready without going that extreme. GL with the TT.
My girls are going good. Hazel is powering and gaining heaps of weight. We had her TT snipped a couple of weeks ago and she is still having some trouble with relearning how to bf properly. I have had nipple infections which hasn't been fun and i also have over supply so our bf journey hasn't been smooth sailing which is so frustrating for me as i'm someone who wants to bf so bad but it doesn't come easily to me.Such a long complicated story but I'll keep persevering and hoping it falls into place soon. She is such a cute baby and gets so many compliments. I feel very lucky and she is still sleeping well, usually having a 7hr stretch at night which is great. She will be 7wks tomorrow and already weighs 6.3kgs. Only one more week till the dreading immunizations. boohoo
Olive is still a terrible sleeper on the other hand. She has been waking heaps lately so we have been giving her some homeopathic Braurers Calm which helps with the sleep. She has also been getting up so early. Yesterday it was 4.20am! Luckily she went to MIL's so i got a 3hr sleep in with Hazel which was heaven. The sleep thing has also been impacting on her behaviour as she only sleeps in the day sometimes so has been having a few mega meltdowns lately. There has been alot going on for her though with bubs and everything and she is way better after a decent sleep. I love this age . The things Olive comes out with! I just want to bottle it and hold onto this cut innocence forever at times. It looks like i might have to take Olive to the docs tomorrow as she seems to be developing worsening reactions to ticks so i'm concerned she might need an epi-pen which will be horrible as there are so many ticks here. She is such a little mini me and will say things like "Mum Hazel's starving, she needs breast milk". So funny. She is great with numbers and colours and loves drawing. Puzzles are a new interest atm. That and her and i play babies a lot when i can. She is till going well with the toilet but has been fully TT for 7mths now. She is dry in the mornings as she wakes through the night for a wee but i'm not quite brave enough yet
Anyway ladies catch up again soon
-
OMG I can't believe how fast our little ones are growing up. Meara is TT in the day time but I still put a nappy on her for nights. She's just not quite there yet and I think her diabetes has something to do with that. She loves singing and dancing around the house (courtesy of her big sister lol) and loves singing "I'm a dingle dangle scarecrow" :)
CW - glad Hazel is doing ok after the op. Can't believe she is almost 2 months old already :o Olive sounds so cute now and yes they do say some very special things. I'm feeling a bit more resigned to the induction because it's either the induction or a c/s. I'm really hoping for a vbac this time so I have to hope the induction works. I tried the EPO capsules for about 3 nights but it gave me thrush so have to clear that up first and then try again :( We have changed to name slightly as I still love Phoebe Rose but DF is still hating the Rose part so we have decided on Phoebe Eleena. I'm happy with that.
HJ - well done on being half way through your degree. I'm hoping to apply in 2013 :) was going to try for next year but I think that would be to ambitious as bubs would only be 7 months old. It will give my uni time to work out the bugs in the system also as they have only started running the course this year. Well done on Miss B being so clever and getting advanced up in kindy. OMG Emily is crawling already :o you have another advanced bubs there to by the sound of it.
MM - nearly 16 weeks wow. Bet that has gone fast for you to. Hope you are feeling ok?? Are you going to be happy with what ever sex this baby is or hoping for a DS this time :)
SS - I'll send you all my UTD vibes as I will never need them again lol. This is definitely our last baby. I'm 43 this year and just to old to keep having babies (DF is 51 so even worse lol) I'm ready for a 10 year break and then the grandkids can start lol. Eldest DD turned 16 this year :o and then DS2 has just turned 10 and DS1 is 12 next month so this baby will come inbetween them. Fingers crossed that everything goes well.
I have been having some issues with DD2. She turned 4 in January and was doing so well but just lately she has started wetting the bed again. I'm hating having to change the sheets every day and her mattress is starting to smell ewwwww. I'm wondering if she is getting stressed about the new baby. She saw some pics of Meara's c/s and is telling DF that mummy will be all bloody when she has the baby. We have tried to explain that not all babies come out of mummy's tummies and that she came out of my vagina but she just looked horrified lol and won't accept it. Hopefully the induction works so that when she visits I can get up and see to her and give her cuddles and reassurance and she can see that I'm fine. If I have to have another c/s I'm a bit worried it may traumatise her more. Oh well a nappy at night time for a while won't kill me or her.
Just realised this is an epic post so will say hooroo for now but it was good to read what everyone else is up to. Take care ladies and chat soon
-
Yeah Kim 16 weeks.. its going so fast now the morning sickness has left. My life is so busy too, so that helps pass time. I actually am hoping for another girl but would be happy either way :)
-
Well lovely ladies I have 6 days to go unless Frogglette decides to come early. They have booked in the induction for Friday 29/4 :o I'm so not ready yet. I am still cleaning the house as I have spent the last week in hospital with Meara. Her pump played up and her sugar levels went through the roof and she had lots of ketones and got quite sick very quickly. So now I'm washing up the dishes (cause no one else ever does them), cleaning the floor, defrosting the big freezer, getting the buffet ready to move into the kitchen (clean all DD1's crap out of it first), then doing the lounge room and then the dining room and then the kids lounge and then our room. Kids rooms can wait lol. I hate nesting lol. After Frogglette comes I'm going to hire a cleaner :)
MM - another girl for DD to play with would be good
Take care everyone else and have a wonderful and safe Easter xxx
-
Wow Kim, 6 days, can't wait to hear your exciting news!! Hope you have some help with the cleaning and manage to get some rest before bub comes too.
We're away at the moment for the Easter long weekend, beautiful weather & we're doing plenty of swimming.
Sorry this is a short post. Hope you've all been well and enjoy your Easter!!
-
Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!!!!!!
hope you all are well and healthy and happy.
We are going great here. Olive seems to have turned the corner finally with sleep and is sleeping all night and not getting up at the crack of dawn. Hazel is also being great on the sleep front and is having up to 9hr stretches at night which is fantastic. Feel like a new woman.
Have lots of fun tomorrow.
Can't wait to hear your baby news Kim. Hope you get some help. I get frustrated enough picking up after 2 kids and a husband let alone 5 kids and a husband. Must drive you nuts. Anyway good luck!
-
Kim - not long to go now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CW - wooohooo on Olive sleeping through the night! we are still waiting for Miss B to do that! However Emily is an awesome sleeper but is going through a stage of getting up once a night! can't complain with that! i can't wait until it's my turn to feel like a new woman hahahahaha
-
hj - was talking to my osteo recently and she reckons that not sleeping through is a sign of intelligence lol.
I'm still taking each day as it comes with the sleep and each night Olive sleeps well it's a bonus! Miss B will get there soon. How's the study going?
-
CW -funny you should say that! SO many people have told me that! and without being a bias mummy i do have a pretty smart girl! she talks like a grown up hahaha, knows her ABC, can count to 14, has been put up a grade a Kindy because they said she is way more advanced than other kids her age (we tried telling them that at the start and they thought we were being typical bias parents), knows all her colours, makes her own lunch and breaky, so independant (the list goes on)and some of the stuff she comes out with is amazing! maybe all the smartness if finally wearing Olive out! hahahaha - i hope that happens with Miss B soon
The study is going great thank you for asking :) i love it! and am almost halfway through my degree!!!!!!
-
Hi all, made it through Easter so it looks like Friday is the day (unless she comes tonight or tomorrow or Thursday lol) so only 3 more days to go.
hj - glad to hear from you. I'm glad the study is going well. Will have to pick your brains when I start my degree in 2013 (fingers crossed). There is no such thing as biased mummy lol ;) be proud of your girls when ever you want
CW - thanks hun for the support. I need to kick butt to get my kids to do any housework but I think I'm gonna put my steel caps on and give a good boot lol. I'm so jealous that you have a baby that sleeps all night. I can't remember a time I had a full nights sleep. DF thinks it will be in about another year (yeah good luck I reckon lol)
Midwifes appointment tomorrow and see the dr as well so that he can do a VE to check cervix. I hope that it is thin and short so the induction won't take long. Starting to feel very unco as my belly is so much bigger than with any of the others. You'd think that with having 5 previous occupants in there there would be heaps of room but she has squashed herself into a ball shape and stayed that way :( I even lost my belly button this time and that has never happened before.
Oh well only a few more days to wait and then I get to find out all the stats (big or little). Will keep you all informed or watch the BA's as feeb is my piggie
