Hiya girls..have been slack again i know lol
Kass I wont be starting till 6 months as per guidelines...we will be doing bls again plus mush lol! Even though he is looking at food alot...but he is looking at everything alot lol
to all our mums and bubs who had needles
Wil be getting boof head weighed when we get his needles a a week or so I am guessing he must be close to 8kgs lol!
Kass, Rach E and Boomba - I was going to start at 6 mths too but when paeds said 4 mths I thought i would see how Eli was going and then decide. I went at 4 mths because he is basically the avg size of a 6 mth old and i have found he has not been taking his bottles well atm.. he doesn't finish them and seems to get really bored, so i thought i would give it a go. I was pretty surprised that he loved the food though!
LJ - i always look forward to getting Eli weighed too. They grow so fast which is a beautiful thing but also a sad thing...
When Eli was weighed yesterday he has gained 1kg over past month (little heffer) so is now 7.7kg. He was difficult to measure length because he was kicking and screaming (and this was before the needles!) but he is a little over 65cm... about 66-67 we estimated given his movement yesterday! I am going to get him re-measured in the next few days. The troubling thing for me is that with his height and weight he is almost the perfect proportion for a 6 month old (i think it is 68cm and 8kg) but he is only 4 mths..... again the whole sad and happy thing......
Eli and I are off to the mum and baby movies today to see Valentine's Day. This is only the second time we have gone to the movies but i am going to try and go most weeks. A local cinema does $6.50 sessions which makes it really cheap little outing and there is a movie to take kids into most weeks.
Have a great day and hi to anyone i have missed, or hasn't posted recently - we love you all so please post again!
Tam hun we all do what we feel is right...I hope you didnt feel i aimed my last post at you cause it more just a general one lol Your doing a great job and so glad Eli loves his food xx
Tam- The debate of solids at 4 or 6 months is a tricky one! Do whats right for you and Eli
I base my choice on 6 months pron because Im breastfeeding and think Lucy is getting everything she needs In the end you know your baby the best! And whats best for him
Sorry i haven't been posting much. The sad fact is a person has been reading all my posts. I know its a public forum, but to sneakily see what im writting it peaved me off!! I actually dleted her from my FB, but grrrrr started a big mellow drama. Honestly i thought i left high school yrs ago.
My mum is still in limbo land She is waiting to see a professor now. Seems she has a breast diease and they are worried about one lump, it actually lights the screen up when she has a scan. They can't do a biopsy cause of the diease, which is pretty stupid if you ask me. So still waiting
Thanks girls, yes seems my sweet angel has been visting i think. First her mobile (which i have over evangelines cot) it went off at 3am that morning. Might add its the wind up one, so was a bit freaky. Then the bubbles later that night, hahah that really did crack me up!!!
Ok so for food. Miss Evangeline has now been on solids for 2 and bit wks She LOVES IT!! hahah when i put the spoon in her mouth, she goes "mmmm, numnumnum" lol Its the cutest thing. I was going to wait, but she was 4 and 1/2 mths old when i started, and opened her mouth never spat it out, so i guess she was def ready.
Tammie - woohoo Eli is thriving!! How was the movie, i want to see it??
Rach - ohhh holidays FUN
Kass - awwww i know what you mean about the scent. Sometimes i get the same thing, though if i haven't smelt it in a while, i get her cuddle bear and smell it - it still smells like her, im refusing to wash it!!
Stevie - aww thank you. Yes very proud of missy. I swear each day she is getting more cuter, if thats at all possible lol. Though she is starting to resemble Lilli alot now to. I put a pic up on FB last night.
Liz - Hey hun, hope all is well with you and your sweet little man
OK off to bake some korkers, lol. Im doing some itty bitty ones soon on snap clips, for bubbys that have hardly any hair.
Thanks girls for the vote of confidence with solids - i know noone meant anything mean etc... as we have all said, we each need to do what works for us and our bubs.
Rach - i totally agree about the high school thing.... i have a different situation where that is relevant but i am so over people cutting other ppl down or calling etc to tell you something that is really irrelevant when you know they are only doing it for the attention and to get the whole 'poor you' reaction!
Nobody should take offence to that because it is not directed to anyone in here... i love that we vent to eachother because that it what this is for. It is actually based on someone who works for my DH and calls us (repeatedly i might add) to tell us useless crap/info about why she might be tired at work the next day or something. I get so annoyed about it, it is nothing but attention seeking.
Now that i have vented about this person - i hope everyone totally understands that i love our vents and hearing about issues we all have. I feel like none of us whinge, or expect copious amounts of sympathy, we put stuff here so that we can all relate and feel better about difficult things we are going through.
I feel better!
Hi everyone i will come back when i am in a better frame of mind and post properly!
xx.
ok girls Luke had his needles tuesday.. he is normally a once aday pooper maybe 2 times well since tuesday he has gone upwards of 5-6 times, last night he had a small amount of mucousy blood in his poo, his poos are now very liquidy versus ssoft icecream texture (sorry for visual) could this be because of needles or something else ... he went a 3 times sat/sun but they were normal texture as such.. he seems happy enough I do think he is teething as well.. no teeth yet but heaps of drool and he can't chew on anything enough everything is being chewed and chewed
so now that I have got it out in writing sound like nothing *sigh* so do you reckon just watch him and if he seems to be unwell pop up to hospital on weekend or what ??? we have one dr and they close over weekend
