im gonna have a few ppl here when we move its just there gonna be here lol
There are things you can write, and someone will make it up for you, maybe places you like, ie beach, snow, forest. Just you or add the girls in too :)
WTG Jazzy!!! Fabulous gain! :)
Things have been hectic here! The little man is growing well, he hasn't been weighed since late December but I'm guessing he is over 5 it's now. He is feeding every 4 hours during the day and going 4-6 hours overnight after his dreamfeed. Would love it if he went 6-8 after dreamfeed!
AF came back last week :(
Had the little miss's 3rd birthday last week, very hectic. Can't believe she is 3 already! And she starts 3 yo kinder next week. We have finally had success with toilet training, it is so good not having to change two bums!
I can't believe the summer break is nearly over. Next week all activities start again and life becomes crazy busy!
Have started doing pilates to help to get ready to go back to hockey and I am amazed at how good it is, I am converted!
Hope you are all well :)

Hey girls, thought I would pop in and say hi!
Well Amy just rolled from tummy to back... four times in a row! Shes such a great baby! I put her to bed at 8pm last night and she was awake by 715.... thanks for the sleep georgous girl:) Shes found her voice now too and theres so much squealing and chuckling its so lovely... except when shes hungry she lets us know!
How is everyone and their babies?
its good here jazzy hates lying down which makes a few things impossible she tried the jolly jumper and she was giggling so id say thumbs up to jolly jumper and she like the bumbo shes just a little wobbly still shes blowing raspberries all the time sometimes a bit fussy with feeding but is good when we are in the car and out which is good and will e good for moving jamie will be looked after by whoever is on hand while we move but i'll probably only have to do the drive twice its scary coz its coming up so quick
hey everyone! kayla is doing great, still breastfeeding, which is going really well, she is over 6kgs now. she is a wonderful sleeper going from around 9pm to 8.15am some nights. she is rolling onto her tummy lots, and loves tummy time. she hardly ever cries, she is just great :)
it's hard to find time to come on here now, with all the groups i go to, and any spare time i have is usually taken up with cleaning the house!
well done amy :)
good luck with the move jjj
:hello:
Hey I haven't been around for a bit so thought I would do a quick update.
DD2 is 4 1/2 months now :o, she had her 4 month shots last week and Dr checked her heart and lungs and all was perfect, she has just cracked 6kg (my little boofa) well compared to her sister, she is 66 cm long :o and I think her HC was 42cm.
Yesterday she rolled for the first time and did it both ways :leap: it was a slow process but she got there, I couldn't help but giggle when she her her legs over and her head over and face into the mat, but couldn't get her bum and body over, but after a bit more effort over she went :D She ended up doing it twice and her big cute fluffy bum didn't stoper her.
She is still exclusively breastfed, I tired to offer her a bottle of EBM last week and she lost it, so if we try again i will get DH to try, because she just looked at me with her mouth open and wouldn't suck. But in reality it doesn't bother me, I will be fine if she just goes to a cup anyway, I think the last week was a wonder week/growth spurt, as she was feeding all over the place, even threw in a 1 am feed and consistenly 4:30am feeds, but after her learning to roll effort yesterday last night she slept from 8-8am, woke up very happy and today has been sleeping more as well. But I will guess I will see what happens from here.
We have also tried the bumbo, she only lasts 5-8min at a time, but enjoys it, we have a jolly jumper, but haven't bothered with it yet, I don't think she has the trunk tone for it yet, we have a jumperoo as well, but we won't bother for a few more months yet.
She only poo's once every 8 days, it makes the nappy cleaning a lot easier, her sister did the same.
MIL again mentioned solids, I didn't even bother to respond, but DH stood up and said nope :D, we are following the WHO guidelines and we will start once she is 6 months or there abouts, she went on about well I guess things have changed since you were kids, but it never hurt you  SIL started at 3 1/2 months so she is expecting us to have done the same... ahhh nope, DD2 is even close to showing signs that she is remotely interested in solids. I am in no rush and you should have seen the look of horror when I said I was going to start by doing BLS!!!!!
Good luck with the move JJJ
WTG Amy for the rolling
marknjo, DD1 ex 33 weeker, was feeding 2 hourly until she was 6 months of age and only hit 5.5kg at 6 months of age, often the smaller bubs do need more feeing more often, I feel you pain, we went through it and DD1 never slept through until 15 months - OUCH, I hope that the feeds space out more for you soon xxoo
WTG SPF with the feeding and some great weight gain by your little miss K!
hey beema, your little one is not so little any more! you must have some good milk there!!! i know what you mean about people making the solids comments, i have been getting that off one of my older friends, but we are not starting solids till 6 months either. i feel annoyed that i have to repeat it everytime i visit her.
DD must be the laziest baby or maybe im not giving her enough floor time....
she had her 4mnth needles thursday just gone.. she as alright that night but oh my friday she was a total different baby..
Happy 4months to Eboni and Mason
Happy 4 1/2 months Miss A.
Beema: I feel your pain about re: solids/ alot of people ask me and im over it.. i just say DD only needs my milk until 6months then we shall try solids..
anyone's baby teething?? i think DD is but not entirely sure..
I havent posted here in awhile.. I normally just come on here to see whats happening.. I finally put my birth story up :)
Anyway i must away.. I'm so tired..
Hope all bubbas and mummas are doing well!
Im another one who wont be starting solids til around 6 months. I dont think that their little guts are ready for it. I have a friend whos ds is born the same day as Amy and she put up pics of him being fed just BEFORE he was 3 months! She did the same with her ds1! Not even on the packet food does it say before 4 months. Anyway people have thier own ways of doing things. I started Liv and Bec around 5.5 months soley because they both were showing strong interest in feeding. Amy is no where near that!
Retro- I started putting Amy down on the floor for tummy time after every feed last month coz i wasnt giving her much tummy time and within a few weeks she got really strong. I wouldnt worry, they are all different.
Beema-Your little lady sure isnt little anymore. Congratulations on doing such a great job! I dont have any of those things you mentioned but I always wondered about the bumbo... looks funky! I just use convensional pillows!!!!
SPF- good to hear from you. Sounds like youre having a lovely time and doing loads of stuff with Kayla. I cant seem to work out how Im going to co-ordinate swimming lessons with 3 and I would like to get Liv into Gymnastics.... All this stuff I would like to do, I dont know if its my energy levels or I cant mentally figure out how to do it!
Marknjo- sounds like your man is doing well too. Hope his night feeds strech out for you soon. Happy 3rd Birthday to your dd. Enjoy getting back into shape.
Tripple J- How cute with the raspberries! Hows the moving coming along?
AFM- things are going well here. Amy was doing so well with sleeping but I think shes going through a major growth spurt coz shes constantly drinking and is waking for feeds during the night again. I hope it settles soon. We dont have a health nurse appointment til next week but Im sure shes around 6kgs and shes getting longer! My other 2 girls are going well, they are back in day care now. I am trying to loose weight, I have 17 kgs to loose and have lost 2 so far. I started running again but hurt my foot so now I am training on the bike. I can see my tummy going down too which is nice! I have 5 kgs to go before my pre pregnancy weight and the rest of its from being comfortable in life! I still havent had AF return yet.... I wonder when that will happen? Anyway, hungry baby better run!
Nice to see a bit of Traffic through here!
Kate is doing wonderfully well, she is still a really chilled out bub which rocks. Her sleeping has gone a bit haywire in the last month, she has gone from sleeping through the night, to waking up at least once, she usually struggles with the farts around 4-6am. Her day sleeps are a bit of a pain at the moment, having trouble getting her to stay asleep, she goes to sleep beautifully but doesn't seem to like to stay that way.
I am lucky not to have had any pressure about solids, we are waiting to 6 months and even then I am in no hurry, solids= lots of work.
I only have another 12 weeks now untill I start back at work, so I am really trying to cherish the time I have left at home- although I still haven't managed to turn into any kind of domestic goddess, housework really aint my thing!
Retro- Kate definatly has teeth moving around in her mouth, one broke through the skin and then went back down- so dissapointing!
Anyway better get on, DD1 is back at school now- 5 full days and it is taking alot of adjust for all of us to get back into routine.
Well I am happy to say that the little man has dropped his night feed! He still has a dream feed at around 10.30 which he doesn't even stir for and usually sleeps until between 6.30 and 7.30 yay!
We had MCHC today and he is 6kg, 61 long and 42 head and has jumped from the 10th percentile line to the 25th percentile so is doing really well. He has to have his 4 month injections tomorrow :(
We are really starting to see a bit of his personality now, I'm loving it :) now just waiting for all of the fun of rolling, sitting etc to happen.

Ali ~ I completely agree with the solids being extra work, I don't know what the huge rush is TBH, but happy to follow DD2's lead and see how she goes I am looking forward to experimenting with BLS in comparrison to puree's this time :) Wow teeth moving as well, I don't think we have any action happening there yet, I hope her sleeping settles. DD's is a bit all over the place but we don't really had a strong routine during the day, but I am happy with her waking at just after 6am the last few days as I have been feeding her lying down in bed and she has been finishing and happy to chill out ont he bed and I get to have adecent shower before DD1 wakes up :) It also means I get the daycare drop off done early and back home to work earlier which I have really enjoyed :)
MarknJo ~ Wow isn't Master C doing fabulously, that is an impressive weight gain and brilliant to see him jump percentiles DD2 has done that as well and it is so reassurring :) He is a very similar size to DD2 she is just 5cm longer :o
Mini ~ The bumbo is great, we picked it up pretty cheap from B Bunting, SIL and I went halves, I also picked up the tray for it, will probably use it inseat of the highchair for a while. We ended up borrowing one from friends with DD1 as she had poor truck control due to hypermobility and it did help. There is pretty good resale on them as well, so one fo those things you can easily buy and sell again. Well done on losing 2 kg great start!
Retro ~ how did the MCHN appointment go? Some days DD2 doesn't get a lot of tummy/play mat time, being out and about, but it's ok, some days she gets a lot!
SPF ~ she isn't tiny at all and it is amazing me how quickly she is growing in comparrison to DD1!
AFM ~ I am hoping that DD2 is settling into a better feeding routine overnight, no so keen on getting up  She is rolling each day, not much but a little, and spinning in circles on her play mat on her back. I've got 5kg to lose to be back to pre/early pregnancy weight with DD2 or 1 to be the same I was with DD1, but would like to lose the 5 ;) Must go I am "needed" by the girls xxoo
MCHN went well... last time she was here DD weighed 7.25kg.. this time 7.23kg (thats clothed though.. maybe next ti'm i'll as if we can weigh her bare skin), nurse seen i was concerned but she said she wasnt. and that DD had been having good weight gains! Her (L) is 64cms. HC is 42.5cms. the nurese said she is in the percentiles but i cant remember what she said. must ask her to put it in the blue book..
Eboni didnt have a good night last night got back home from my sisters at 10pm (ish) my sister watched DD while i had a shower (as to be honest I'm finding having a shower very hard as DP hasnt been around much and when i say right i'm going to go have it now DD wakes up. i know excuses..) My sister gave her some dymadon and she sort of settled.. she was hysterical.. after she had the dymadon i fed her and she went to sleep.. then we laid on my parents bed and i sang to her and it helped, i put her in bed with me last night..
Sorry this has been a me/us post.
Wow aren't you both doing a fabulous job Retro :)
 Me posts are ok we need to do it some days xxoo
Helllooooo! Where is everyone? Hope you are all well :)
im here just dont have much to share except we have been BFing for 4 months  and 2 days lol
got her 4 month checkup on tuesday and i start my new job 2moro its 5 hours but after travel its close to 6.5 hours only coz of traffic i hope i do ok
jazzy now fits in 00 jumpsuits :o
Good job on the bfing. I pulled the pin at 8 weeks!
How did the move go?
Hope the appt goes well, sounds like your little princess is growing well! We are still in 000's depending on brand of course, but I have started using some 00 singlets! I think Campbell is going through a growth spurt so may be in 00 soon. He has really ramped up how much he is drinking each day!
Good luck for tomorrow, hopefully the traffic is friendly! Who is looking after Jazz?
the move isnt quite finished ask me in a couple of weeks lol
my step sister is watching jazz and my step mum is watching jamie ive never left jazz for this long before im not sure how its gonna go expressing was a failure so shes gonna have formula while im gone its one day a week so i should be fine
Hi I am still around, was getting emails but all of the sudden thats stopped so might have to subscribe again!
Amy must be going through a growth spurt too....still. Has been for a few weeks but I am giving her between 5-7 feeds of formula a day which is rediculous! Tins of it were lasting a week now its only 5 days! Shes in 00 now too. They are a bit big some brands. A lot of her clothes are hand me downs from her sisters, so lots of reminissing here for me!
All 3 girls have rotten colds, my oldest Olivia is really bad and I almost have to carry the mop around to clean up after her sneezes! Of course she sneezed all over Amy, now Amy is sick! Last night wasnt fantastic so I am hoping it clears up quickly, but with the constant changing weather who knows! All I know is I am not looking forward to winter.
Amy went to the health nurse, shes 6.4kgs and 62cm long. She had her needles too which made her grumpy for days.
Hope youre all well
x o
Im still around too- just finding life so busy at the moment. 3 Kids certainly makes for a very busy life, especially with one at school.
Kate is doing really well, she is just over 6kgs and nearly 66cms long. She is trying so hard to sit herself up, and loves to roll across the floor- I think she might be an early crawler like her brother and sister, who both crawled at 6 months. It is funny she gets really frustrated when laying on her tummy on the floor, her arms and legs flap around but she doesnt go anywhere, she has done a couple of dig in her elbows and drag herself on her tummy a little bit, but I think it was more a fluke than anything.
She is sleeping really well now, self settles in her cot more often than not, sleeps for generally 1 hr-2 hrs at a time during the day (usually 3 sleeps and maybe a little cat nap before bed time) and she has started sleeping through the night- or at least going through without a feed, she stirs sometimes and needs her dummy popping back in.
I am very slowly starting to wean her onto the bottle, one feed a week, to get ready to go back to work at the beginning of May, doing a couple of days relief teaching in March to earn a few extra $$ and to get into the habit of leaving her with DH or my mum :( I figured I may as well leave her and go and earn some money rather than leave her and go and spend it.
Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying their babies- I really am remembering that they dont stay babies for long!
Hey all, hope youre all well.
Amy is doing great. We saw the nurse last week and she is 6.4kgs and 62cms long. She doesnt roll over any more she just spins on her back! Shes started pulling her head forward in the car seat. She sleeps pretty well at night from about 8pm til anywhere between 430 and 530 and will go back to bed until about 830. During the day her sleeps are all over the place, depending what we are up to! She sleeps on the floor alot, She does have some longer sleeps say for about an hour at a time... I should try and get her into a routine but the poor kid gets woken to go out place. Lucky for me she will sleep in the car. Shes very vocal. She uses her tounge a lot now, sticks it out and tries to blow raspberries! And she loves reaching up and touching our faces.... and pulling the girls hair too! I often hear Olivia say naughty Amy you shouldnt pull my hair!!!
Hope everyone is doing ok x o
wow - it's been a long time since I have been in here. Has been great to catch upn on how everyne is doing. Sounds like lots of happy and healthy little babies all around.
Ali and Mimi - my hat goes off to you with 3 to juggle!
Edwsard is doing great, is so happy and I have such a nice time with him. I can't wait for him to start sleeping through the night though! He still wakes up on average twice a night for a feed. I am dying to have more than 4 hours sleep in a row! But I can't complain too much, he settles really well so is just up for the feed and then nods off again without a problem. I was having trouble getting him to sleep during the dat so he is on a routine now and self settling during the day much better. He started soilds a couple of weeks ago. Just a small amount as I still want him mostly on breast until 6 months. But he seems much happier and alert with the little bit of rice cereal, fruit and veg so I think it was a good time for him to start. The time is just flying by though, I can't believe he is over five months already!
Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to reading omre updates.
Hello ladies and bubbas!!
I havent been in here alot..have had other stuff going on.... finding the courage to see someone is hard..
Update on Ebbi - she now weighs 8.04kgs.... my little heffalump! started making purees But im going to do BLS... We've made some friends with ladies who have babies around Ebbi's age... She is rolling now and then... i dont know what else to say.....
Retro - is everything ok? I hope you are ok and find the courage to see someone to help.
Great weight for little Eboni - you must be doing a wonderful job in feeding her! That is good that you have met sme people with babies around Eboni's age. It is good to have other mothers to chat to who are at the same age. I found it easier to talk to some of the mothers in my mothers group abut baby things than close friends with kids. I think when you are all new mums at all the babies are young it can be easier to talk about concerns or worries or get advice from other mothers muddling through the same stage.
Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying watching all the milestones evolve. I take my hat off to you ladies who have two or three children- you must be very busy women indeed!
LOL... yep we are busy but good busy!
Retro... hope youre working things out. Good to see Ebs growing big and strong.
Bubble- I feel for you sleep wise... SOMETIMES.... I get more than 4 hours... but I am getting up to more than 1 child. Amy wakes up once and Rebecca who is 2 also wakes up, sometimes multiple times! Olivia is great, she sleeps most nights solid. Amy has had a viral rash and now has a cold and conjunctivitis. Just fun! So not looking forward to winter! She isnt rolling, we havent started her on food... shes not the slightest bit interested! Will start her next month! Other than that we get loads of smiles and giggles... ok got to go, duty calls!
Hi out there! Just a few questions (youd think Id know doing this 3rd time!) So Amy is not rolling at all.... is everyones bubs rolling?
Has everyone started solids yet? Hows it going? I gave Amy her first bit of rice cereal last night and she kind of liked it.
I am still getting up for feeds, sometimes 2 feeds a night but mostly just one.....
Amy doesnt have any teeth yet, although I dont think its too far away.
We have to get her hips ultrasounded tomorrow as her creases are uneven. Praying to God there is nothing wrong with them. She did have the all clear at 6 weeks but it is developmental and with our family history it most certainly is possible. Oh that was the other thing... she doesnt bare any weight, so when I try and stand her up she just flops down.... anyone elses baby doing it or are they standing up while you hold them.
Hope youre all well and motherhood is treating you kindly! So who do you think will be the first to be pregnant in this group? And who is going back? Im not sure yet.... maybe!
*waves*
Hi, after taking a self imposed ban I haven't been on BB much of late....
So just a quick update
Miss A is 6 months old and a bit more now , she hit 6.9kg which I was very impressed with, still exclusively BF'd, have tried her with some BLS but she isn't really interested in "food' atm, so will try again in another week and see if things are different.
I can't wait to find out how long she is, she is booked in for imms on Thursday and will get her length and HC done then.
She is rolling, not sitting by herself, but will if I put my fingers on her shoulders pressing down for support (one of the physio tricks with did with DD1)
Reflux flared up, she is on the max dose of Losec and Gaviscons every feed but that is making her constipated (so damned if we do and damned if we don't!), and as she isn't keen on soilds yet we have to wait it out, but she enjoys time in her jumperoo because it doesn't put pressure on her tummy so isn't throwing up as much as she does playing on the mat, and she isn't a fan of sitting much, she arches her back quite a bit in the bumbo, but hoping she starts to enjoy it as much as her big sister does
She has come down with Croup today and is on Prednisolone, after a visit to our GP.
Mini ~ to answer your questions :) Yep Miss A is rolling, after having a baby who didn't roll until she was over 1 I was keeping a very close eye on her gross motor skills. We have started solids, going down the BLS path so no puree's, just finger/hand feeding, I did try a spoon with a bit of pumpkin soup on it and she just continually thrust her tongue so I don't feel that she is ready and her GP agreed when we saw him last week. Getting up for at least one feed a night, around the 4-5am, was two feeds but she has gone back to one, would be nice if she went back to sleeping through  No teeth, her GP said one was starting to bub, but still quite a way off, so not expecting anything soon, and I totally LOVE her gummy smile and will be sad when it is gone!
Big big  for having to get another US done, will be thinking of you and I hope that it isn't HD and if it is that the intervention can be minimal. A bares weight she loves standing..
As for going back... I am not finished but any future babies are going to have to take a lot of planning :( As I will be heading down the same or worse again, and need to plan for a few months of bed rest..... sigh
Hi to everyone else :)
Hi mini / Beema,
Mini - answers to your q's:
Rolling - yes Ed is rolling, but was pretty infrequent up until the last week, maybe only a few times a week. Now it is all day though - and can roll both ways but sometimes still yels out for me to move him from his tummy back to his back.
Baring weight - he does, but not if he is tired in the afternoon, mostly in the mornings and if he is in a good mood. But he doesn't like to sit much - prefers to stand so has had a bit more practise.
Solids - he has been on solids for about 6 weeks now (started him really swlowly when he was 5 months) - he seemed really ready and started sleepng much better during the day when he started eaing solids.
Night feeds - Ed still waking up for 2 (one a week sometimes three). However, last night he only woke up once. He slept from 7pm to 4 am - first time since he was born! I got a whole 6.5 hours sleep IN A ROW!!!! I felt so good I struggled to go back to sleep after his feed!! lol
How did the u/s on A hips go? Fingers crossed all is ok.
Beema - that's a god trick with pressing down on the shoulders to help them st. I might try it with Edward - he still can't realy sit without rolling around! How is Miss A's croup? Hope she is feeling better now? Ed has a Bumbo too but i think he is starting to get to adventurous for it. He keeps leaning forwards and backwards to grab anything and everything (mostly his feet!) That is exciting that you are thinking about mre babies. I wish it could be simpler for you though. You did a brillaint job of looking after yourself and Miss A though, and from hearing about your journey I can tell you are a very strong person who will make it work again (even if it will require a bit more planning).
Re: starting solids though, he has dropped from 50th percentile to 25th in the last two months (for weight). My usual Health Nurse wasn't there for my last vsit and the fill in nurse tol me I had probably started solids too early and he wasn't getting enough breast milk and to drop to only tw meals a day. I'm unsure whether or not to do that though, as he has been on three for quite a few weeks now and I think he will miss the food? I am still feeding 6 times in 24 hours (4 during the day and 2 overnight). I've tried to squeeze in an extra day feed over the last couple of days, but now i find that he is getting used to 'feeding to sleep' again and is starting to have trouble self-settling. But it is the only way i have managed to squeeze in the extra feed. I have also started him on meat today so hopefully that will help bost his weight gain too. I just felt really horrible after the Maternal health visit. i thought I was doing such a good job and he seemed so happy. Now I just keep doubting myself! arghh - can't win!
Lastly - who will be pregnant first??? Who knows - maybe me?! I definately want a second, and ideally would like to fall pregnant again when he is just over 1. I think we'll start trying again when he is 13 or 14 months old. Wish i had a crystal bal to know how long it will take to concieve this time around!
Mini - a fourth maybe???? I take my hat off too you! You must really love being a Mum and must have a great time with your girls!
Ok - better go and do some cleanng before Ed wakes up.
Take care and good to see a couple of people in here still. Hope everyone else is doing well!
xo
Hi girls.... thanks for your replies. Sorry I havent got back, as you can imagine I have been flat out. I am toilet training Rebecca which is going ok. Very time consuming though and I havent left the house so thats the next challenge! Although this morning I wipped off her night nappy and she had already wet it so I left her for a bit and I turned around and she was sitting on the potty doing wees and poos! Yay!
Amys hip scan went well, I havent rang for the results but the sonographer was pretty happy. I have Livs and Amys needles next week so when I am there I will chat to the dr about the results.
Welll after I posted about rolling, Amy started rolling to her sides... so I just think that shes taking her time. Shes doing really well on her tummy. I am just starting to see her be really interested in what we eat and she is starting to mimic us chewing. Each time I have given her rice cereal she just pushes it out with her tongue. I wouldnt mind trying BLS.... any tips? As for standing and taking weight.... I suppose its just going to be like her rolling.... taking her time. I have a health nurse appointment next week so no doubt I will have feedback from that!!!
Beema- sorry to hear that A is still suffering from reflux. Hopefully it settles soon with food. What do you do with the fingers on the shoulders for sitting? Ive seen pictures of your beautiful little ladies on FB and you are doing a great job. Can I ask a personal question about N? I have seen that rash around her mouth? It looks similar to Olivias rash. Olivia has a yeast allergy and anytime she eats it she has a massive flare up. How do you treat her rash? I have a cream from a compound chemist that has done wonders..... Oh and on the baby front, I have a feeling youre deinately not finished yet! I can see you with more for some reason:) I know it will take loads of planning on your part but you seem to be a fairly organised person...!
Bubble- oh and isnt Edward a beautiful boy. Sorry to hear that he is having trouble with his weight and the health nurse is making you doubt yourself. I dont think you started too early. Are you feeding him solids before a milk feed or after? Just a thought maybe to feed him milk first and then offer him sl=olids coz I think at this age its more about them getting used to solids...... sorry just trying to quickly write.... girls are getting restless.
And by the way, I just got AF back after 4 months of not bfeeding! And on my wedding anniversary too! Still not 100% on another baby... but ask me in about 4-6 months:) I dont think I am finished yet though. And yes I love being a mum and we have so much fun. Got to run!
Just a quick add...... Amys nappies are leaking during the night. Shes in huggies. Its painful. I have to change her up to 2 times a night right through. What nappies are you using for night time?
my tip is use a bigger size it worked for jamie jazz is in cloth most nights but her disposibles are a size too big and that works
ebbi got her 6month needles yesterday.. she slept with me last night.. Woke up at 2.10am and had cuddles to sleep then woke around 4am nappy changed was going to give milk but started gagging on flem (sp?) she upchucked a teeny tiny bit.. and had more cuddles and went to sleep.. its very scary when she gags. she has the barky cough back :( i havent taken her back to the doctor yet.. meant to but i get distracted.. how bad am i.. i let myself get distracted by other things instead of taking my DD to doctor...
Happy 6months Eboni and Mason!!
Eboni had some yogurt yesterday just a teeny tiny bit.. I'm giving her solids today! ahh how time flies.
I use Aldi nappies. I was using huggies but changed to aldi and have been using them since Eboni was about 4months? or so
Thanks girls... my issue isnt that the nappies get too full and leak, its that they just leak and arent full. For some reason I think she must have a funny shaped back. I went and got the huggies contoured ones last night but they still leaked. When she was a new born, I had her in Aldis and Baby Love and they leaked..... every nappy change. At least with the huggies its only when shes been laying down for 6 hours plus..... Im going to go and buy some of the sorbies night nappies but I am also going to purchse a woolen pilcher to pop over at night. I hope that stops it.
Retro.... youre doing a great job with Eboni, shes such a big girl, well fed and look after. We all get distracted, but youre onto it and thats the main thing. Its really awful when they are sick, you feel helpless and because they cant tell you whats wrong, it makes it even harder.
I have started on rice ceral for Amy. I use the Rafertys Garden one. My other 2 girls didnt like farax so I just skipped it this time around. I like Rafertys Garden stuff... actually tastes like real food.
Hi :)
Mini ~ I hope the TT with Rebecca is going well :crossfingers: Sounds like the hip scan was pretty positive, I hope the final results are through quickly. BLS, jsut give her things of your plates to try ie steamed vegies, toast (maybe spread it with Avocado), Miss A isn't interested at all every time she has had something she gags and ends up throwing up what ever tiny bit she has "eaten" along with her milk, so we are only trying a little bits every few days as we don't want to cause a food aversion if everytime she has it she is sick KWIM. The rash around N's mouth we thing is an allergy, we know it has come from Kraft Mayonaise and an Aoili from whenw e were out one night, but not HJ's mayonaise, so could be a vinegar or raw egg. We have to try testing it again, with some antihistamines on hand and so our GP knows we are going to do it because if it gets worse then we need to see him. What sort of cream are you using, we don't do anything and just let it go, the first time it went within a day the following time it lasted longer and we haven't tested again recently.
With the fingers on the shoulders I put her in a sitting position legs sort of crossed but not, and then put my index and middle finger together applying pressure on her shoulders *where it goes soft, not on the bone) what that does it provides support to assist in sitting but makes her work and strengthen her core. I defintiely think one more but as to when who knows, and yeah lots of planning, but the end result is worth it if we can get as far as we did with A :)
Night nappy is a Huggies, jsut gone up from the Infant to the Crawler(?), she is in cloth all day.
Happy 6 months Ebi and Mason!!!!
Retro ~ how is miss Eboni going now, is she feeling better?
Jazz has just become interested in food she has had a few bikkies to suck on not much chewing or eating going on must just be teething :)
Thanks Beema.... tt is going really well with Becca. Its been a week today and despite having the odd accident, she is a champ! I thin she wont be far off nights either.... shes woken up dry the past 2 nights:)
So I went and got some Sorbies night nappies and they are fantastic for Amy. Shes able to stay in them from when she goes to bed (730ish) and not leak til when I change her around 6-630. And thants with a night feed thrown in. So from now I will stick to the sorbies at night for sure. We have needles tomorrow for both Amy and Olivia. Im a tad worried about Livs because she absolutely looses it when she skins her knee and sees the tinest bit of blood!
Amy is doing ok on the rice cereal, so I think its time for me to indroduce the next food. Think I will do potato at night. I might do a mix of puree' and fingerfood. We eat loads of steamed vegies so I will offer her that as well as a bit of mash! Shes rolled once today with a bit of my help just to get her to her side but she did the rest. Im going to start sitting her more regularly too. We have the health nurse on Wednesday for a check up so no doubt I will get told what I am doing wrong/right!!! Oh I look forward to that!
And we had a lovely day yesterday getting the girls baptised and celebrating Olivias 4th Birthday.... will pop some pics up on fb.
Beema the cream I use is David hoskings... its not cheap but it works for the girls. If Olivia has a bad rash around her mouth and it turns a bit yellow I first use a combination of daktarin oral gel and advantin fatty ointment (cortisone) just to get it under control, then I use the hoskings cream. I use it for a barrier too if she eats tomatoes/strawberries.... or anything that I know will agrivate it. I use that cream on my hands and eczema and it works well. I sent the guy an email and a pic of Livs mouth, explaining what sets it off. He was great and emailed me back with suggestions of what cream to use. They deliver world wide. Maybe if you wanted to try it you could start with a small tub which is around $23 including delivery. that tub lasted me nearly 6 months coz you only need a little bit. The web site is wwwdothoskingspharmacydotcom.... good luck
Happy 6 months to little jazzy from yesterday and we have made it to 6 months BFing :) yay and i have a new avvy
Yay go triplej
Eboni is doing better still has a cough.. my stupid father is still smoking inside,, only lasted two days not smoking inside.. Still looking for a rental place.. ahh I just want one already.. I hate this stuff..
Eboni is rolling more ANd she does the hand signal for milk! :)
Hi girls, hope you are all well.
We went away for the Easter break. Had a ball but Amy didnt sleep well at all and on the first night cut her first tooth. Shes still not sleeping well so I think the 2nd one isnt too far away either. I hae the flu so am really struggling to just do too much and will have to use the tv today as a baby sitter! Amy is now on 2 solid meals a day. She still isnt rolling but she spins around on her back a lot. She says ma ba and da! Shes such a cutie.... even when she wakes at 5am for the day!
