Eboni still hasnt:( two babies from my MG have started getting teeth
They are all different though... Olivia got her first when she was 8 months, Rebecca was 7 months and Amy 6 months....
DD1 didn't get her first tooth until she was nearly 1, Miss A hasn't got any yet and I am quite happy for her to hold off for as long as possible, because once that gummy smile is gone it is gone forever.
We are still tyring solids with DD2, DH is a bit concerned about going down the BLS path so I need to find some info to hoefully convince him it is the right way for us, but as we didn't do it with DD1 he is wondering why we are doing it this time, he isn't the one who has to prep and puree all the food!
Nawww how cute is Amy :)
Don't worry Retro they all do it in their own time, enjoy those gummy smiles :)
Hi all... hope youre well. Just an update.....Amy still has only one tooth. I just got her teething necklace in the mal, so lets see if it works. Shes still not rolling, or sitting. I hope that shes just slow at it all! I have got her into some sort of better routine with bottles and stuff so now shes only waking one feed a night.
Got to run... mums here.... take care
Ok ladies.... thought I would bump us up top again!!! How are you all? We have had a shocker of a run with illness. Thankfully Amy had not been ill (touch wood). Shes been a handful though. Really quite grizzly, skipping sleeps and ending up cranky. Shes worked out that she needs to be very vocal to be heard in our house, so she really shouts if she wants my attention. She has 2 teeth now and has just started rolling. She still up in the middle of the night for feeds and on a bad night she will stay awake for a few hours at a time and grizzle! However, she is a beautiful little lady and Im really looking forward to seeing her personality develop.... especially in our crazy house! Im still not on the pill and although we havent made any decisions as to adding to our family, I dont think I will go and have my tubes tied, I think I will just get an iud in seeing they last 5 years at a time. im 35 now, so if Im not pregnant by the end of the year/start of next year, then we wont be having any more!
Hope you and your babies are all well x o
Just an update on Miss A :)
8 months old in a couple of days :o She is rolling, desparately wasnt tos be crawling and running after her big sister, and getting a bit frustrated at times.
No teeth, still got that gummy smile.
Batling constipation issues have literally used everything in the books, taken her off the Gaviscon, to try and help free things up with all the extras to help get her moving, but since doing that we've had very little sleep overnight after 1am. I am currently dairy free to see if it makes a difference to her reflux, will be doing it for 2-4 weeks to get it out of both of our systems, and will then do a dairy challenge to see if she reacts ~ hopefully it shows nothing and the previous 3 incidents were coincidence :crossfingers:
Like Mini I am just loving watching her grow and her little personality appear, she can give the biggest bottom lip and is completely cute at the same time :D
She is one one solid meal a day, just adding a second in now, but mostly is is apricots, pears, prunes to get her bowels moving, but hse had a good much on some brocholii and is loving the apple and banana flavoured rice crackers. She is having a ball at feeding herself, got some photos on FB, and it is really cool watching her learn and discover food, mush it in her hands and taste it then slam it into her mouth, she's really only been doing it for a bit over a week and we are loving it :) DH is also now seeing what I was pushing for and he thinks it is awesome too :)
She's still got the reflux, but having a review with out GP in a month and going to look at the whole picture, unless we need to action things sooner.
Not finished family wise, but will make a decision down the track when we would consider again, preferable before I am 35 so got some time up my sleeve, would be good for DD1 to be at school (I think!)
Hope to hear from everyone else too! :D
hello ladies!!
I havent been around much.. I have been unwell but am getting better.. I was in hospital for 8 days.. with inflamed pancreas and gallstones.. got my gallbladder out on tuesday (24th may) and was discharged the thursday.. now at my parents place.. Hope everyone is doing well xx
Hi All,
It's been ages since I managed to get on here. Its great to see how all of the bubs are coming along!
Campbell is going great guns. He has weaned himself off 1 bottle so now only has 4 per day. He is having 3 solids meals per day and devours rusks! No teeth here but Caitlin didn't get any until 11 months so we will see. He has been sitting for about 3 weeks and rolling since Easter. He is driving me crazy rolling over in his cot and then cracking it when he gets wedged up against the side. When he rolls over on the floor he does lots of 360's and goes backwards but hasn't worked out anything forward yet. he just assumes skydiving freefall position and screams with frustration! He says mumma but only when he is whinging so it is more like muuuuuuummmmma! He has had a massive growth spurt and now is wearing a combination of 00 & 0's! I love it when he wakes up and when you go in to get him you get the whole face grin.
He had his 1st flight just after Easter and was really well behaved (both ways) which was a relief! It was only from Melb to Qld and back but great to get one under our belts. He also slept really well in the portacot at the hotels. Hopefully he stays as well behaved for our USA trip in Oct!
We have been lucky, touch wood, that apart from the whooping cough scare we had in December, we haven't had any sickness. Hopefully it lasts but with Caitlin in kinder and the cold weather really kicking in now, I am sure there are going to be some bugs bought home! We have our 8 month check up in a couple of weeks and I am really looking forward to seeing how the little man has progressed, he is really heavy so we will see if he has jumped up a curve or two!
Anyway, thats about it here. Winter is flat out for us with DH & I both playing hockey and trying to fit in training for us both as well as games but I will try and get on here more often to see how everyone is going.
Take care :)
We are settled into our place now :)
Eboni has been better.. she has abit of croup poor thing sounds like a dog when she coughs.. but she is still her happy self... she now weighs 9.6kgs finally got the nurse to come out...
Eboni and i are doing well... although past few nights i've gotten angry with her and said some things to her and felt bad afterwards.. im starting to doubt myself as a mum sometimes.. Eboni still isnt crawling just doing her own thing at the moment
Takecare all xoxo
Hi all... Amy is nearly 8 months old. Wow that went quick! Shes only really rolling and can sit for a short period of time when we sit her up. Shes so very different to her sisters who were already sitting and rolling and almost crawling at this age. I am pleased though that shes taking her time!!!
Well I just cleared out all my baby clothes:( DH isnt keen on another baby unless we have a load of money coming in, so I think thats it! Its killing me! Usually by this stage I am preparing for ttc.... but now I have to think about birth control. Oh well, I have 3 beautiful healthy little ladies so I really cant complain.
Hope all is well. x o
they are too quick jazzy is a lazy little git coz jamie was already trying to crawl by now she'll sit up and walk around in the walker but she hates beng anywhere near the floor hopefully the new house changes that yep we are moving again i bloody hate this crap i hope this can be a more permanent place moving is expensive even when you have parents that help out
shes started babbling though so i hope thats a good sign
Hi all... quick update one us here.... Amy is well. She still has 2 teeth and no signs of any more. Shes rolling both ways and sitting unaided. She was recently weighed and is 9kgs. She loves her food and eats just about all that we eat. She says ma da fa and a whole bunch of other stuff. She is generally a quiet girl but really turns up the volume to be heard. She is still waking every night, mostly just once but lately 2 times a night. Doesnt suprise me really, none of my girls have been fantastic sleepers. Shes really only drinking 2-3 bottles a day because she eats a lot. The health nurse said not to introduce snaks yet as she would probably not have much milk. Some days its a struggle to get her to have 2 bottles.
Anyone pregnant yet? Ive been struggling with the fact that this is most likely my last. I really want another but dh is not keen at all. I cried last week when i was going to make the appointment to get the implanon in, so i didnt do it. We will see!
Hop u are all well x o
hello :)
Update: Eboni has a tooth!! and another one on the way.. she was weighed last month and she was 9.6kgs will be weighed again on thursday. she is cheeky!! she says mum dad(she says dad ALOT) etc. she is a mummies girl. as soon as she goes to her dad she cries blue murder some days... she too eats anything we eat, cant eat anything in front of her as she just looks at us thinking where is mine lol.. We have been co-sleeping for the last 3weeks as she has been abit sick with flu/croup who knows didnt take her to doctor (bad mummy) I dont think i can put her back in the cot i LOVE co-sleeping.
She also plays peek a boo with her blankets when we sing where is ebbi where is ebbi. its cute
a few people i know have had babies and i held a newborn the other day and i said to DP i shouldnt hold babies makes me want another one but i know right now im not ready for another one maybe when Eboni is 2 or so.
Much love to the mummas and bubbas xoxo
Little update on Miss A :)
She got her first tooth at 9 months 1 day, and the one next to it looks like it wasnt to come through soon as well :) She has been sick with RSV for 2 weeks and went straight into teething, so over the last few days we have finalyl started to see our happy little girls back :D
At her last weigh she is 7.8kg and 72cm long, she lost a bit of weight when she was sick, but feels as though she has caught that back up again, she is also back on solids after having a couple of weeks off because she couldn't handle eating with the RSV.
She wants to crawl, but is making her way around the place with rolling etc. Right now she is happy jumping in her jumperoo, she adores her big sister and they love have squealing matches with each other.
And finally not not pregnant here and not trying either
no preg here either we are definately finished 2 is a handful at the best of times Jazzy is somewhere around the 8kg mark not rolling yet but likes to walk around in the walker and shes pretty good at sitting up and we can see 2 teeth about to push through
Hello!!
Ebbi crawled forward twice tonight!! ahh my bubbba.. two teeth.. i think the top are coming through.. she rolls everywhere still.. talks abit... loves booby abit too much lol but i love that hehe....
Not preg either not sure when next will be but all i know is im not ready yet lol
hope all is well..
Jazzy has 3 teeth :) she is happy to crawl backwards lol
dont really talk much in here its a bit quiet
Hey all, yes its very quiet in here! Must be all very busy.
Well done Eboni on your crawling. Hope teeth cutting arent too painful
Yay on the teeth Jazzy:)
All well here, Amy has 4 teeth and is cutting the top ones next to the front teeth. Shes been a horrid teether. I have had to get her to cut her night feeds down and start feeding during the day otherwise shes up all night. She eats loads of food. She rolls everywhere, shuffles backwards and in the last few days she has started going up on her knees. She babbles a lot and she can say daddad... all the time. She waves and claps and dances... so cute. We had a bit of a scare last week when my dad fell over with her at the zoo, so we ended up in the childrens with a mild concussion. She has some crusty scabs still on her head but shes fine! As for more babies.... I dunno!
yeah we have waving and dancing here too its partly my fault shes so lazy shes in her walker a lot coz of her clumsy older brother
she only just started rolling from her back to front but still goes backwards :)
definately no more babies here
I would LOVE to say no more babies... however, Im not there yet. I have no idea why! I would love another but we dont have much room and we need some more sleep!
Hi all, its been ages since we have heard from anyone in here. I thought I would bump us up and seeing its getting so close to everyones 1st Birthdays!
We have been ok here.... and Im saying ok because im sure there are worse off people than me! i have been sick for a month today with a cough, have lost my voice a few times. I finally took myself off to the gp yesterday and got som ABs. I feel slightly better after a days worth so fingers crossed things in that department will look up!
Amy has woken with a rash head to toe. So we are back to the drs this morning... just a little over our frquent visits there! Amy is almost 11 months old. She is rolling everywhere. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forward. Shes not standing on things or pulling to stand yet.... Im sure that will come though..... in her own sweet time! Shes really taking off in the language department and if shes anything like dd2, she will be an early talker! DD2 was holding conversations around 18 months old and can talk under water!!! Anyway Amy can say the usual mum, dad, bibi (dd1s nick name), becca (dd2), granddad, nana, woof woof, dog, and shes learning her name! She bables a lot and is very good at copying.
In the teeth department, she has 5. She is a horrid teether, cutting one at a time and taking weeks for them to actually cut through. She doesnt respond to panadol, neurofen or her teething necklace. She does have pain stop but that only works for a short period of time. So needless to say I have little sleep with her. We co sleep but not by choice. I hate it... not so bad when they are littler but she pulls my hair, scratches my face or pinches me. Last night I was so fed up with it I left her in there with dh and slept on the couch. Dh said she didnt move once I left! Shes really leaving me feeling deflated alot of the time. Shes so needy of me at night, it just doesnt give me time to do anything. She goes to her bed around 8pm but she must sense it because as soon as we are getting ready for bed or about to fall asleep she starts screaming. Unfortunately she shares a room with he sisters so lettingher cry for long periods just wakes them and is not an option.
Needless to say, Amy is the best contraception for us and is giving me plenty of time to have a good think about our family. Im up to 90% sure its complete now!!!
Hope everyone and their babes are well x o
hello ladies..
Eboni is now fully crawling, 5 teeth... pulling herself up on things now... not long til she is walking i think.. she walk while holding onto our hands..
As for the more babies... i want more but now right now.. We had an oopsie the other week so im not sure if i am pregnant.. we shall see.. im absolutely crapping myself if i am.... im not ready for another baby..
Hope all is well with everyone and babies :)
you'll survive if u do ave an ooopsie i was ok with 2 17 months apart lol im still here ;)
jazzy is getting the goin forward and can stand while shes holding on to things and 5 teeth now here too wish i could figure out how to get her into her bed
when you figure out how to put her in her bed please let me know!! Eboni is co-sleeping with me/ my partner when he decides to sleep in our bed... I 'did' try to put her in her cot the other night it lasted an hour then she woke crying
You will be fine if you do have an oopsie... my first 2 are 19 months apart and although it was hard work at the start, its so much easier and they play so well!
Amy has 7 teeth and has finally started commando crawling! The other two were almost walking at this age, but im not complaining because its hectic around here and I know its going to get so much more busy when shes on the move properly!
Happy Birthday to Amy.... gone so fast this year!
Susan... are you pregnant?
Happy Birthday Amy :)
well i havnt been on BB in ages i havnt had much time with work and the kids snf then when i do have time DH is studying so i cant use the comp lol.
So mason has 8 teeth and i think some of his molars are about to come threw they r all bumpy at the mo. when he does get his teeth they take forever nad we dont sleep for like 2 weeks. Everyone has been sick on and off for like 6 weeks and other then mason having a bit of a runny nose (which i think is teeth anyways) he hasnt been sick so i am hoping he will stay like that.
He has been walkin since just after he was 11months, he thinks he is so clever and runs when he knows he is in trouble.
His new trick is to trow his sisters toys into the toilet so that has been fun lol.
doesnt say too much we have mum mum, dad, ta, car and bye
loves giving hugs and kisses and is a sooky mummies boy latly.
How is everyone else goingn with sleep?
mas went through a stage for like a month that he wouldnt sleep and ended up in with us after about a hr so we could just shove the dummy in once he started sooking. We are back to sleeping now thank god but some ngihts its hard to get him to sleep.
he has 1 big day sleep of anywhere between 1hr to 3 hrs at lunch time and then he is normally ready for another about 6pm but we stretch him out cause if he sleeps b4 8pm he is down for a hr then up till midnight.
Im back at work well a few jobs at the mo and it is abit full on tryin to get more organised at home but its just not working. i have a causal job setting up weddings then working them which is normally fri and sat but we have been doing morning teas and cleaning during the week. then i do ironing of the wedding linen at home i am so far behind in it at the mo its not funny. And last but not least i am back at daycare but i am a relief carer now so i just work when someone needs me to come to their house and take of their daycare if they r sick of have an appt etc. so throw into all of this that hubby just started doing his bach of technology at home so he comes home from work has tea then is off the hte comp room till 1030 to study so i feel like i am tryint o do all this on my own sometimes.
Cant beleive all our babies are 1 (or 1 in a few days) it really doesnt seem that long ago i cant beleive how fast it has gone. I went back to work when DD was 6 weeks so decided to take 6months off with mason because i thought i missed out of too much going back so soon with DD but omg i feel like i have blinked and he is all grown up.
Hi ladies,
Sorry it has been so long since I have posted in here. It is really nice to hear what everyone is up to and how the babies are going.
Mini - it sounds like things were a bit tough (and sleep deprived) for a while there - are things better now? How is it going with jugglinh being back at work and the shift work? I think you are amazing to do what you do with three little ones!
Sassy - sounds like you are super busy too - lots of balls in the air to juggle!
Retro - so are you pregnant?! : ) How is everything going with Eboni? You will know how and when to get her into her own bed when the time is right. Enjoy the cuddles for now! Sometimes i wish Edward would sleep in our bed - but whenever he comes into our bed he just thinks it's party time!! lol
I am back at work now, Mon-wed (should be working now!). I do 7.30-5 so I leave the house before 7 but it means I can be home by 6 to feed and bath Edward. I stopped breastfeeding last week. Was tough to finish it up, but for the last month he was only having the night feed, and for the last couple of weeks I am sure the wasn't even milk, he was just comfort sucking so was also giving him a cup of milk. He is at childcare while I am at work and coping really well with it. i still find it tough, not being with him, but he is a pretty social little man so he loves playing with new things and people while he is there. My husband does the srop off and pick up most days (his work day is shorter and therefore it means less hours in childcare for Edward) - so I think that has helped If it was me droppnig him off I think there would be more tears. He has had a few rounds of childcare illnesses already, nothing too serious. It has been a bit difficult to juggle work when he is sick though. my new boss is making it really difficult and my husband started a new job 6 mths ago so can't take too many days off (we don't have any family in Melbourne so can't get any other help). But on the whole it is working ok - logistically at least! Emotionally i have really struggled with it, but it is getting easier.
Edward is almost walking, has been 'cruising' for a couple of months now, but his fotting is becoming more stable and when he forgets he lets go of things and stands on his own for a few seconds. He is trying to say more words now (they kind of sound the same though!). He is a very determined little thing and is very vocal when he doesn't want to do something! uh oh - will have to watch the temper tantrums - he already knows to scream and kick his legs!!
He has finally started sleeping through (started at about 11 mths), however since about 9mths he wakes up at 5am every morning. I am still struggling with the early mornings, however, I can't complan as he goes down really well at 7 each night and generally we don't hear from him again until the morning. He is swaps between on and two day sleeps, depending on how tired he is really. After his three days of childcare he is normally pretty tired and has two sleeps on thursdays and fridays (and also becasue he wakes up so early!)
As for next baby - hopefully sometimes soon. We were going to start trying this month but my period came a week and a half early - very strange as i am NEVER EVER early (normally have a 35 day cycle). So am a bit dissapointed we missed out window this month. Not to worry - there is always next month!
Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the warmer spring weather!
Hey Bubble, good to see you around.... Im so glad Im doing night shift. I remember when I first went back when dd1 was 10 months old for 3 days a week. It was so hard to adjust. I know how you feel about wanting to be there for them. Sorry to hear he has picked up the usual bugs at day care. And it must be hard having no family support for days when he is sick. If I were closer I could help you out.... but then again... we have our fair share of germs here. Its been an ongoing circle of sharing colds/viruses here. I am a tad sick of it. We are all snotty now and its been going on for weeks on end!
How exciting, going for your next baby. I hope it happens quick for you. Im still up in the air, although if i did fall pg I dont think it would be a major issue!
As for sleep... mm...its hit and miss. Amy is a crap teether so as soon as she has a rumbling shes up half the night, like last night! She now has 4 top, 4 bottom and 3 molars. She was sticking her fingers in both ears and screaming at 4am, gave her some nurofen and she didnt settle back down til after 5... and dhs alarm went off! She was up at midnight too... aaahh. I put her on some formula at night after starting cows milk because she was waking for 2 feeds everynight. If shes not teething and settled she will have a bottle at bed... around 7pm and the next one at 5 then back to bed til 630ish. Shes been having 1 day sleep since 11 months and it seems to be working well.
As for work, Im only doing 1 to 2 mights a week over the weekend and depending on dh's work. Its not worth sending all 3 to child care so we do it this way. I work from 930 at night til 730 and get home in time for their breakfast.... or dressing. I dont seem to get much sleep during the day because our house is so small I can hear everything! We are starting our renos soon so when thats done it will be easier to get a better sleep!
Oh and I have officially lost 10kgs since Janurary.... only 7 to go! At least I am lighter than when I fell pregnant with Amy!
Better go and feed the troops :)
hello :)
Nope not pregnant.... well not that.. we dtd the other night so close to ovulation so yeh im silly...
Eboni has 7teeth, stilljust crawling but she is a jibber jabber.. she just talks and talks.... she has started walking with her pram walker thingy....
i want to go to work just need to find a job lol
Well done on the weight loss Mini - that's awesome! My plan went out the window ages ago - must get back onto it - you have inspired me! It must be tough working the nightshift and then being up all day - I imagine three little ones keep you very busy! lol
How is Amy giong with her sleeping?
Retro - Eboni sounds like a real character from what i see on facebook - very cute! Edward isn't walking on his own yet either - is still hanging onto his walker - but he sure does fly aruond the house with it! He is pretty fast!
Have a good christmas everyone!
xo
