    just subscribing to this thread

we are still alve and kicking...hehehehe

Jack has all of his teeth besides his 2yr old molars
Talking like theres no tomorrow, doing it at his pace
He is roughly 14.5kgs, is in a booster seat in the car, takes his seatbelt off when we get in the drive way and says thanks

He is also in a big boy bed as he started climbing out of his cot

No bubba belly here yet...we are planning on TTC #4 from november onwards

jack still has a dummy and still has a bottle

He is also probably going to have to have an op as we are having horrible infections so he will more than likely be circumcised very soon he is on a lot of AB now due to a bad infection

    Ohh.. a snazzy new forum!

    Happy Mother's Day!!

Zarava & csab - Thanks for the nappy rash cream suggestions. I decided to try Bepanthen antiseptic cream and it seemed to work very well. Within a couple of days the nappy rash pretty much disappeared. It's still a bit red but not too bad at all.

Zarava - Have you got the results from your tests yet? I'm still (19 months on) suffering from some pins and needles in my feet and knees and no one can work out what's wrong. The only guess someone made that fits is that it might be nerve damage from retaining fluid during pregnancy. I have no idea if that's right or not though. It does seem to very very slowly be getting better though!

csab - Maya still looks very skinny though compared to other babies. She is still below the 3rd percentile in weight. But I no longer worry about it any more and know that it's just her! V sounds so cute with her talking! I hope you are both over the flu now.

katones - It's good to hear from you. Jack sounds like he's doing very well, except for the infections. Poor boy. I hope that he won't need an operation!

At CC last week M slept 40 mins then 35 mins, so I'm hoping she'll keep that up and hopefully do some longer sleeps there at some stage.

How was everyone's Mother's Days? I got to sleep in yesterday. I got a card that Maya made at CC, which a little message, photo and pictures she'd made. And DH is going to organise to get some photos of us done as a family cos we just never seem to have any nice family shots. ohh and I got some chocolates. And we went to the zoo today.

Moi - so glad the cream helped.. i LOVE it.
The card from M would have been soooo cute, she is gorgeous, can't wait to meet you guys eventually... lol we soo need to get our act together.

Katones - glad to hear you guys are well, poor Jack though with his infections, hope everything is sorted ASAP for you guys.
All his teeth, lucky you.. now just the waiting game for those molars.

csab - V sounds so adorable, are you guys feeling better?

AFM - Dr has re-ordered 6 different blood tests and said there is fluid on my knee and it could be arthritis related it's still quite annoying and at items painful, i have to go back at the end of the week for my results.
Am hoping it's not arthritis as i can't take any of the medications while i am BFing and i am only 26 for gods sake, my nan has a thing calls sjorgens disease which can cause or is a form of arthritis so i now have to go tell my Dr as nan said the only way they diagnosed it was by taking fluid from her knee... they didn't pick it up on blood tests... i don't have to have a needle in my knee.

A has a massive day today but i only just got her to bed about 15min ago, ake, a little bit of softdrink snuck in by her great nan and a whole lot of fun with her older cousins had her on edge, a 20min nap in the car on the way home and she was ready for round two.
I got a pair of diamond earrings and the new moon dvd for M Day and smiles from my gorgeous girls.. it's all i need

Hope everyone else is well and had a great day

we're back from the scan, sure was good to see bub is well really wanted to have 2, but having 1 is good enough.

So...we're now just 1 day shy of 16weeks and the EDD is 27Oct, YAY another October baby!! if he behaves then the 2 babies will have their bdays close together, wishful thinking :P

He wasnt being very co-operative thru the scan, didnt help having a full bladder or having some form on contraction that was not allowing him move. The U/S lady couldnt get a good profile picture of him so pity that

BUT, as you've probably gathered by now, we're having another BOY!! The U/S lady is pretty sure anyways pointing out the doodle and the scrotum and even made sure by going on different angles!! I was getting paranoid about having a girl (not that theres anything wrong with them), its just that both DP and i prefer having boys

Congratulations Teru on your baby boy!

Zarava - Oh I'm like you. Well I only have one brother, but I have all male cousins. So I'm the only girl of my generation in the family. I was excited to have a girl, though I would also love a boy. But M has two female cousins and if we do have a boy he'll be the odd one out. Have you got any results from your blood tests yet?

So after M had gastro, UTI and then very bad nappy rash, she moved on to very bad cold + ear infection! I can't remember the last time she was well! And this cold has been horrible!! She's been sick for a whole week now with it!! Thankfully today she started eating again (which is always worrying when little M doesn't eat!). So hopefully she's on the mend. Send lots of well vibes our way!

Last week I was also sick but got over it quite quickly but today I seem to be getting worse again, so I think I've picked up a second cold.

Moi - Hope M is feeling better soon, poor girl!
went to the Dr's today and my bloods are normal but my knee is still very sore and swollen so my Dr has organised a specialist appt for Friday (earliest and only one she could get within the month) to have the fluid drained from my knee
Hopefully then we can figure something out, going to cost me OVER $200 to see the specialist.. WTF they better find something wrong.

Can you believe after Ava got 4 molars in under 2 weeks she now has the two bottom canines (i think they are the ones) coming through at the same time and 1 top one is nearly down.. if she gets 6/7 teeth in under 3wks, my god.. my poor poor girl . Am hoping the teething necklace comes tomorrow so i can give it a try.

She is at her nans tonight so i can get some packing done tomorrow (as long as Z co-operates) and then we move on SUNDAY... i can't wait.

    Hope everyone is well.

Moi - oooh that is just foul! you poor things! I hope she gets better and keeps eating well too. Can you take andrographis (sp?)? I used to find that worked wonders for colds, better than echinacea.

Zarava - so many teeth at once, poor little mite! GL with your knee, that must be such a nuisance when you're trying to run around after A all day, much less pack and look after Z too!

AFM well we're just having a bad run too. After we all had colds, then my mum who was here helping got gastro (vomit all over the carpet under furniture - had to rearrange the room to clean it!!) and now DH and i both STILL have the cold and I think DH is getting bronchitis (he's a bit prone to that). Plus on thurs Mum went home (cos we were on the mend) and DH sprained his neck on Fri and hasn't been able to lift X since! Physio is saying he can't lift him before the weekend. So i'm juggling work so I can do daycare drop-offs, DH's useless family are nowhere to be seen except his sis who wants help with her uni assignment (wtf!?). Yeah can you tell i'm a bit over them? But on the bright side, X has got rid of the cold and his digestion seems to be settling. My bubba girl is baking nicely, very wriggly. (TMI bit here): the pregnancy is exacerbating my prolapse which is a right PITA, but went to see my phsyio who said it's no worse, it's just PG making it FEEL worse. Anyone want a falling out vagina? I have one going free I have to whinge about it somewhere, cos I can't exactly tell the neighbours! Plus on thurs I nearly fainted (dunno why) in the middle of trying to get to work, drop-off X etc.

On the bright side, I bought the most gorgeous old-fashioned flower fairy prints for Annika's room and I have my eye on the cutest little flower rug too. Plus X's room will get a major rearrange so that's all fun to plan.

Hope everyone else is going well and all those cheeky toddlers are giving you lots of love for all the hard work we do!

TERU Congratulations on your blue bundle. That's fantastic that you have what you were after

KATONES We had Byron 'done' as a baby. Mainly cause DH is done but we have heard of many stories where they needed to be done due to infection so we thought best to get rid of it

MOI Poor M. What a terrible run she's having. Sending you loads of healthy vibes

ZARAVA BJ also did cut all his teeth at once. Poor A. I know what it's like. I hope it passes quickly for you

BELFIE May I suggest AP for your DH's neck? I couldn't believe how quickly it fixed my back. I honestly felt like it was a miracle. Sorry you're having a bad run too

A big hello to everyone else. Sorry for lack of personals

BJ is doing great. Also talking HEAPS. He just says everything. I caught him the other day counting to ten. Though he says 9 then 2 lol. Thankfully now that all his teeth have cut he is sleeping better again. He sleeps till around 6.30/7am now which makes it easier to put him down for only one sleep. It works for us most days, but sometimes he'll only sleep for 1.5hrs so I put him down for a late nap, which means he goes to bed a little later than 7 on those nights. At least it's a bit of a routine that is better than the two sleeps

AFM I am still really sick. The MS is still a shocker. I forgot how hard it was to be pg. Thankfully I never have to do this again!

    Morning all,

Katones - So sorry Jack is having a hard time with the infections, maybe an Op is for the best. Let us know how he is doing. Woohoo for November.

Moi - Sorry to hear Maya is still unwell, its worrying isnt it when they are so petite already and they turn off food etc. You just want some fat on their little bodies to help. V got over her Flu, but now she has it back again worse than last time. My other DD's have it too, which is how she got it. Sending lots of get well vibes your way hun for little Maya.

Zarava - Goodluck with your move on the weekend. I so dont eny you right now getting the fluid drained from your knee. OMG cant imagine how painful that would be. After having that done, you would hope they find something. How are your little princess going?

Teruteru - Yay congratulations on having a bubby boy. Woohoo. As well as another October bub.

Belfie - Gee you lot are having a rough trot of things, sending lots of hugs your way. Enjoy the redecorating of the Z & A's rooms rooms, I love the name Annika, so pretty. hugs

Georgi - How cute BJ trying to count to 10. V used to try and say the abc's. She would go abcd then back to a again. hehehe. She hasnt done it for a little while though. I feel for you with all that MS. hugs

Well have three sick kids at home, all with the flu and Little V is one of them. I have been dreading this time of year, just hoping like crazy V doesnt get too bad like she did last yr. The 3 of them were due to have their second swine flu injection this weekend so it doesnt look like they will be getting that done. V's new word she likes to say is You bugger!!!! Or if she dirtied herself she looks at herself and says Ewwww bugger!!!! lol. Well by my LMP I am due 31st Decmber, by the first U/S 5th January, but will continue to go by the 31st December.

Zarava - I hope they can work out why you are getting fluid in your knee! Could luck with all the packing and moving!

belfie - I just went out yesterday and bought some echinacea (I've been taking vit c and garlic tablets too!). I've never heard of andrographis. I just googled it and it sounds good. Where do you get it from? You sound like you're having a run like us. Here's hoping we're at the end of our illness run! I nearly passed out a couple of times when PG, so the fainting could be PG related? Your ILs sound very clueless. Can you ask them for help? ohh.. so you are revealing the name. I love the name Annika. There's a girl at work called Anneke, but I like Annika better.

Georgi - I definitely don't miss the MS. Mine was terrible when PG with M! Hope it passes soon! M is also starting to talk a lot more. She counts to three, but says two, two, three. Very cute.

csab - I'm sending some well vibes back (though I don't know if I have any well vibes to send at the moment. I hope none of your DD's get too sick and they all get well very soon!

M seems to be doing better today, so hopefully she'll go to CC tomorrow and Friday. But her nose is still running and she still has a cough. We have finished her course of ABs and she's eating well and is a happier girl again. Hopefully that's the end of it.. at least for a while! A break from illness would be nice!

M is ramping up her words suddenly. She tries to repeat words I say now and she's putting two words together at times. My favourite word of hers is pasta which actually comes out "Paapa". So cute!!

I keep meaning to ask if anyone else has problems cleaning their toddler's teeth? M hates having her teeth cleaned and will clamp her mouth tightly shut, so most days she doesn't get her teeth brushed at all! Sometimes she'll want to try to clean her teeth herself, but all she does is chew on the brush for a bit and then hands it back. Any ideas? I'm just worried about her getting cavities.

AFM I feel worse today. I've lost my voice! I'm thinking I'm going to have to miss work this week, which I feel bad about cos I missed work last week too!! I'm seeing a dr this afternoon so I'll see what she says.

Moi - how are you feeling hun, any better?
I find if i lay A down on the change mat after her bath i can brush them quickly and then she does it while i dress her, in the morning sit her infront of the mirror and show her me brushing mine then try and do hers quickly but it doesn't always work.

csab - is everyone feeling better? How cute... BUGGER....

Belfie - you poor thing, sometimes the IL's can suck, it's not that hard to offer to help, hope everything has settled down.
I love the name Annika, it's so cute and girly. Am sorting out the girls rooms today... argh!

Georgi - hope your feeling better and the MS is settling a bit.

AFM - had the aspiration on Friday and my knee felt HEAPS better but it's starting to ache again now so i give it 2 days and it will be swollen again, still no answers but have a review appt next mth.
She got just under 10mls out of my knee

Moved on Sunday and have so so much to unpack and do, it's CRAZY.. gotta complete the mail redirection forms, call places and change address... am sorting the girls rooms today though.

Better go.. Z is grizzling, ready for bed i think... then off to sort A's room.

Zarava - thanks for your comment on our girl's name I'm still so excited about it. It's getting hard to keep it a secret (only BB knows) but hopefully we can manage it! That's such a PITA re your knee, as for 10mls out of it... yeeeeouch! Such a nuisance when you're running around after 2 little ones AND moving house! Hope the unpacking is going well.

Moi - I think I got the andrographis from a normal pharmacy, pretty sure that Blackmores makes one, plus some of the standard other brands. I hope you're feeling better, I have my fingers crossed for both of us!! And yes, re the name it's BB only - soooo long to keep it a secret, I hadn't planned on deciding on a name so soon, but it's the way we seem to work. Did it with X too. That's so cute re M's talking, X is a bit behind with his (typical boy lol). Re teeth cleaning he's pretty similar. Just kinda chews on it, but lets me do a little brush sometimes.... I need to work at that a bit more!

CSAB - I hope little V is ok, I'm sending her the healthy vibes (that none of us have, haha!). I remember how scary it was for you last winter, so just praying that can be avoided. What an awesome EDD you have, teheh that's great. How are you feeling?

Georgi - how are you feeling? I really hope the m/s has improved, it really is the pits. I'm SO with you on the "never again" bit.

AFM, I've got a new avvy, woo hoo! DH was too funny, he wanted to know if he still looks "super-buff" in the avvy hahaha. Plus I managed to get the IL's to babysit last sat arvo and X slept for 3.5 hours!!!! I'm like, wtf, they didn't have to do anything! But then they cooked us dinner too... so we booked in for a repeat this arvo as well. Last weekend was rushing around doing errands that HAD to be done (ordering furniture)and this weekend we just chilled out. I had ONE day feeling ok (Friday) after trying to eat really well all week - so I rushed around (like an idiot) catching up on chores and indulged in some retail therapy tehehe (it was bliss!). But now I'm feeling totally crap again, foul sinuses and horrible dry cough all night. Think I'm gonna go to the doctors tomorrow, this is ridiculous. Think I've had 1 week and 1 day this PG where I've felt human, and I've had this cold (or is it more than 1?) for a month! But on the bright side, we've ordered some new drawers for our room, so X gets ours, and Annika gets his. So I'm just relieved I've got the furniture all sorted now, and it's ordered with enough time if anything goes wrong.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and no-one else is sick anymore!

    Cheers,
    Belfie

Zarava - I hope your knee improves and they can work out what's wrong. How are you settling in to your new place? We've finally seen a place we really like, but I am worried it'll go for higher than we can afford.

belfie - Love the new avi. So sorry to hear you are still sick (or sick again?) I hope it's all over now. Oh and Maya also just chews on her toothbrush. She refuses to let me brush her teeth. So I dunno if she'll end up with heaps of cavities.

AFM I ended up with the flu and not just a cold. I'm still getting over it now, but am pretty much back to normal. So I was sick for about 2 1/2 weeks! I did go back to work last week, after missing two weeks, but still felt a bit off.

M seemed to get over the flu and ear infection and then one night woke up at 2am and wouldn't go back to sleep till 4am. Just crying heaps!! (right when I was at my sickest too!). So I took her to the doctors the next day and found out she had an ear infection in both ears! So the first ear infection must not have cleared. Now she's on some super strong ABs for TWO weeks!! Then we go back to the doctor next week to make 100% sure it's all cleared up.

And on top of the ear infection her nappy rash is soooo bad from all the ABs she's been on lately! So the DR prescribed a cream for her.

She got over the flu and now has a runny nose again!! Arghhh.. so I think she has a new cold. It feels like she's forever sick at the moment.

I took M to the paed this week and she is now 9kgs! (well she was just below 9, but I'm rounding up. And the paed is so happy with her progress he doesn't want to see her any more. She's just a small girl and will probably always be that way.

I'm so busy with work at the moment (report writing time) I don't have time to get sick again!! So fingers crossed I remain well. I also made it to the dentist today for the first time in .. ahem.. 4 years. I've been having lots of pain and it's from my gums. So I have to get them cleaned under local anaesthetic. I've booked in for the first day of my holidays.
