Moi - You poor things, i hope you get to enjoy some time off while all the little feral kiddies are off on school hols and i hope poor M is feeling better.
A seems to be a bit better now so we are going to MG tomorrow cos i NEED TO GET OUT of this house and get her occupied.

She is getting quite clever the cheeky little thing, am going to put her in CC 1 day a week so that i can get some stuff done around the house and she gets a little more interaction with kids her age. She loves her MG friends but i think it's time she got something else to occupy her, she is so hard to keep occupied she just learns so quickly and seems to get bored.
This morning she stood on a chair next to Z and fed her half her breakfast, then when Z's bowl was nearly empty she said MUM MORE, ZARA MORE... GONE!
She got told off so she held up her arms and said mum, cuddle... cheeky little so and so.
We've also taught her stinky poos.. so this morning she came up and says MUM.. POOS STINKY!

Bit of a me post:
Ive been reading all the posts but just havent had a chance to reply cos my browser keeps logging me out so i just give up...

Anyways. last month have been pretty rocky for us. Not sure whether ive ever posted here, but i had my 2 front teeth taken out, just because implants were going to be too costly and yadiyada...In the meantime i have a plate cos have to wait for the gum to heal for a few months before i can get dentures done.
As of the last week of so, both Master Dragon & I been down with the flu and then these last few days he's been hit with tonsilitus (yet again) and Ive got gastro. FUN!! At least mum came to get us so that DP could get some work done and not have to worry about us.

Had my 20week scan late @ almost 22wks :O Cos we were late the hospital couldnt fit us in for the U/S so i had to pay for it yet again. Oh wells....its still a boy so thats a good thing :P

Hope all the pg mummies all good, and that the poor sick bubbas get better soon!

Teru - Sorry to hear you and Dragon have been so sick. Sounds like you are having a similar run to M and I, with the flus, gastro and infections! I hope it's all cleared up now.

Zarava - I reckon A will enjoy going to CC. It took M a long time to settle into CC but now she loves it. Although now that we are moving a couple of suburbs away I'm going to look into CC places closer to our new home, which will probably make M unsettled again.

Oh and last post I forgot my big, important news! DH and I bought a HOUSE!!! We're finally entering the market and owning our own home!!

Teru - ooooh isn't illlness just the pits when you're PG and running around after a toddler! I'm glad your mum could help look after you.

Zarava - I reckon CC is a great idea, A will love it. X didn't wanna leave FDC the other day lol, he was having too much fun.

Csab - saw your update on the NT scan, I'm so glad it went well. How are you feeling now? how is little V going? I've been sending get well vibes her way

Sounds like everyone has had sick little toddlers - it's so much harder when they're sick! At our end, X is all better (yay) but i've been diagnosed with pelvic instability and put in a hip brace. It is just killing at the moment, I can hardly walk overnight nor in the mornings... and as for lifting a toddler - forget it! So my DH is a busy boy atm, i'm so lucky he works from home a lot. I've finished work (just in the time i think!) and my mum is coming over for a week to help out. I'm worried I'll need to put X in extra care so I can manage (he was already gonna stay in 2 days a week)... so I'm just praying I can find a way to improve it a bit otherwise I'm petrified i'm gonna be on crutches! wish me luck

Zarava - Thankyou, hows little Ava doing now? Its funny how Mum is the only one they want when they are sick. Some Dr's, sorry you had to go through that. hugs How cute feeding her little sister. V the other day picked up a lolly in a box while I was being served at the checkout at the local shop and scanned it 3times lol.

Moi - Ohhh poor little M, Its hard seeing them sick, especially when they are so small. Hows her weight going? Does she seem to lose weight quicker than putting it on? V had lost so much weight from being sick. Wonderful news on the house congratulations. hugs

Teru - Ohh hun, sound like you and dragon have been in the wars too. I cant stand winter just for this reason. What a shame the hospital couldnt fit you in for the scan. Yay for defiantely having a boy, thats wonderful. hugs

Belfie - Ohh hun, how horrible, im so glad your mum is coming over to help out even if it is for a week. Hope it settles down for you and you dont need crutches. Thankyou too. Im feeling quite relieved and trying very hard to remain positive. V is on the mend is on ventolin and a puffer with steroids in it too for the month as well until Monday antibiotics for the ear infection she had. I had been on some meds for the flu, but dont like to take them unless I feel like I need it, so havent been very good at sticking to it. lol

As for V, she is on ventolin and steriods, for the month, also meds for the ear infection, and had lost a heap of weight over the past month from being sick on and off. The worst loss was the week she was admitted into hospital. If you can believe it, 3 mths ago she was 7.63kg, I had finally gotten her over the 8kg mark when she started getting the flu etc, had her weighed at the peads, whom I told that she has lost alot of weight and he also wanted to check it, I couldnt believe my eyes she had weighed only 7.13kg. I was so upset, I knew she had lost weight but definately wasnt expecting that much. She also had a chest xray at the hospital and the results I was told by her pead, seemed to have an old fractured rib that had healed and may have happened when she was resusitated a few times last yr when she was so sick. So had to have another chest xray to check, thankfully and with full of relief, her chest xray was clear and nothing wrong whatso ever. So definately relieved there.
So now the pead and I are trying to build her weight up again and trying to keep her from getting sick by her taking the ventolin and steriods. Soon is also the dieticians appt, so hopefully she has put on a good amount of weight by then.

Well, our NT scan was last Wednesday and OMG, I thought we were going to have another high risk, as the first sonograghper had bubs Nuchal fold as being 3.7mm. The she had a Dr come in and check, I could have sworn I heard him say that all seemed good with him, but I wasnt sure if thats what he had said. He turned to me and said that we were going to try a different machine in the next room, and he disappeared for a little while, then returned and said the room was being used so we had to wait. He then disappeared again for a while, and here I was stressing about how things were looking. Next thing the DR came in with another Dr who sat down and checked for himself. Turns out with him he had a NF of 2.1 and 2.2mm and the first DR had a NF of 1.9 and 2.1mm, so they took the 2.2mm. They mentioned to me that the sonographer had taken the bubs NF at the wrong angle which caused the wrong calculations. So what a huge relief, and yes thankfully there was a nasal bone. So with the new results my risk was 1 in 408. With the results from the first lady, it would have been 1 in 8. So I cant tell you how relieved I was to hear she was wrong. So relieved that two DR's came up with similar results. To let you know how long this all took, My appt was at 11.30am, I went in for a histroy at about 11.45am, came out about 12pm, had to wait for until approx 12.20 to get called in for the scan. Didnt leave until approx 5min to 3pm. At least I got to see bubs a fair bit that day, but what a long day it turned out.

belfie - I hope things improve for you now that you have your mother around to help and you've finished work.

csab - Thankfully M doesn't seem to lose much weight when she's sick. And as soon as she's feeling better she eats HEAPS. I have no idea how much she weighs now. I think about 9kgs though? I hope V is doing better now. I can imagine how scary it must be that she's losing so much weight. Glad to hear the NT scan went well.

AFM - I finally finished my reports last week and handed them in on Wednesday. And now I on holidays for two weeks.

DH was working very long hours over the last few weeks, including weekends. And his company has given him Weds, Thurs and Fri off this week to make up for it! Great that it coincides during my holidays. Today I've spent cooking all morning cos he was around to entertain M.

Last week M did her first ever poo in the bath. When she saw all the poo she started bawling!!!

A while ago we bought M a potty that we have been letting her sit on - first with clothes, then without pants. Nothing ever happens on it. Then yesterday she said "poo poos" and pointed to her nappy. So I checked thinking she'd done a poo and her nappy was clean. Then she went to the potty. So I pulled her pants down and took her nappy off. And she pooed!!! In her pants. She wasn't sitting on the potty yet! And she started bawling. I'm wondering if she doesn't like the sensation of pooing without a nappy on. Cos she was pointing at her nappy saying "poo poo". I tried putting her on the potty, but she just wouldn't stop bawling. So I had to clean her up and put her nappy back on. I'm hoping she's not scarred from the experience and now will never use her potty.

So... DH has had Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off this week. And we were so looking forward to having TWO whole days to ourselves, while M went to CC. Yesterday DH dropped her off at CC and about an hour later we get a call to come pick her up cos they suspected she has conjunctivitis. So we took her to the DR and yes she does have conjunctivitis AND an ear infection. I guess on the plus side at least I do have DH home to help me. Giving M eye drops has been a nightmare. She cries and squirms and tries to get away. One of us has to restrain her while the other one applies the drops. Poor girl. For the first two days we have to give her the drops FOUR times a day! But then thankfully we can drop back down to twice a day.

This afternoon we are off to Geelong for the weekend to stay with my MIL! She's going to baby sit M on Saturday night so DH and I can go out.

UPDATE: all clear YAY!! but Dragon decide to give himself a new scar he now has one above both his eyes, luckily this one was higher up near his eyebrow not like last time on his eyelid. This little troublemaker has a tendency to keep us on our feet!! But he's a little trooper, barely cried.

Belfie - nothing worst than being sick when pg. I dont mind the running around after the toddler, its the fact that i cant take anything to make it go away quicker!! Hope you're feeling better and yay for no work!

csab - hope little V is going much better, and starting to put on some weight again. Its always a heartbreak to see the little ones go thru sicknesses Bet you are relieved with the NT results, but poo for the long day at the hospital though. Hope your pg is going well.

Moi - forgot to congratulate you on the house!! I would love to own our house one day, but we had decided to get the business set up first. We've been lucky that we dont pay rent (ILs house) so we just have to deal with the running costs etc.
sounds like little Miss is starting to be toilet aware!! dragon used to go on the potty now, he just thinks its a car he had woken a few mornings with a dry nappy and i really thought he night-trained himself....But he's back to peeing at night again, so luckily i never gotten around to trialing him with no nappy at night LOL
pity abt miss M being sick, lucky that MIL can look after her though. Great to have a break sometimes. I never learnt to appreciate it until recently. Dragon now goes to CC on tuesdays and to my mums on thursdays. I hate giving him ABs or any meds, its like an impossible task at times!!

teru - What's all clear? Wow that's great that Dragon has been using the potty. I can't wait till M is out of nappies!

So the conjunctivitis thankfully wasn't bad and cleared very quickly but the ear infection didn't clear and in fact got worse while M was on the ABs!! Last week was a terrible week for me. M started throwing the most awful tantrums EVER. They were lasting 15 minutes and really full on. I wasn't coping last week with her at all. I assumed it was the 'terrible twos' starting because she was still on ABs. Then on Thursday she went to CC and I got a call to come pick her up cos she had a high fever. Took her back to DRs (I really need to invest in shares at my DRs and her ear infection was WORSE and in BOTH ears. OMG I felt so bad. M must have been in heaps of pain and that's why she was throwing such horrible tantrums. She's now on a different AB and within a couple of days I got my gorgeous girl back. I'll take her back for a check up next week.

I was supposed to go back to work on Thursday but when I was at the train station I had a vertigo attack. Thankfully it was very mild but it's still very disappointing. I was trying to cut down on my meds so it might have been because of that. I have upped my meds again. Or it could have been caused by stress. I was stressed about M and stressed about going back to work. So I missed my whole first week back. oppps. I have a new class that is meant to be horrible and I have worked it up in my head a lot. Though this Thursday won't be fun! PT interviews, so it'll be a 12 hour work day + 2 hours of travel. So I'll be away from home for 14 hours.

I am looking for a new job. I have even signed up with a recruiting firm too to up my chances. I am sick of the travel and sick of dealing with such awful students. But I am worried about what would happen if I was starting a new job and was very sick again.

Wow it has been REALLY quiet in here, how is everyone going, how are the little ones... not long now and our babies are 2!

Whats new for everyone, what are the cheeky LO's up to these days?

I still haven't organised CC, was going to go this week but Z isn't well after her needles yesterday and got a friend of DP's coming for dinner tomorrow night so next week i am just going to pop in for a surprise visit on some of them and see what happens from there.

Ava is as full on as always, she lost a fight with our couch the other day, was bouncing on the cushions on the floor, fell and hit her eye on the corner of the couch, got a cut under her eye and now looks like she's been fighting mike tyson! (pics on FB)
She's speaking A LOT, in fact she doesn't shut up (i wonder where she gets that ... ), she copies everything, she has sad F**K and S**T she said shut up the other day.
She says chair, table & stairs and uses them correctly she's saying TRUCK instead of fruck now, she gets my utensils out of the draw and says mum COOK CAKE

She's sleeping in her big girl bed now and loves it, has only fallen out once (the 1st night) in over a week so we have decided NOT to get her rails and just see how she goes, i tell her were going to bed i carry her in and ask her to hop into bed while i close her curtains and she does and stays in bed.
She gets her little steps, puts it against the fridge with her cup and fills her own water so we have had to lock the water thing on it now and she cracks it when none comes out, she's been trying to change Z's nappy, she unclips the buttons on her suit and then pulls at the side of the nappy and says MUM STINKY POOS... even when there are none..

I am starting the planning of A's birthday party, were going bugs & butterflies this year and i am thinking of making the 'goody bags' a 'bug catcher' and filling it with little bugs, lady bird choccies etc, snakes and the like... want it to be sute but not overly expensive so have been checking e-bay and picking up bargains at the $2 shops etc.

I'm a slacky with posting. I always read everyone elses. I guess I'm busy posting in the belly buddy threads.

Sounds like everyone's LO's are growing quickly, as is BJ. He also is a parrot. Copies everything you say. What a beautiful age they are at. So cute. He makes me laugh every day with the things he says & does. You really would never know that he was premature. He's quite advanced in his talking (compared to the other toddlers at mothers group). He's still in his cot. I can't imagine how we're gonna move him to the big bed as he plays in his cot so much now. I can just imagine if he was in a bed he would get out & play with everything in the middle of the night. But it's something we really need to get onto as the new baby will be moving straight into BJ's room as it is now. We're also trying to get him toilet trained but it's really not happening. This morning was the first time he's sat on the potty for more than a minute. We didn't get any action though. We are always talking about poo's in toilet etc but he's clearly not ready. I would love for him to be TT before the new baby comes. He turns 2 next month. We're not doing anything fancy, just a BBQ with family & Byron's friend Ronan & his parents. DH's parents are coming up from Sydney for it, which is nice. We got his bday presents from the toy sales. We got one of those battery opperated quad bikes. It's got the button on the handle bars which you push to make it go. He's just gonna love love love it. I can't wait to give it to him. He got a few other bits & pieces too.
I'll do my best to keep up with personals in future.......

Georgi - I've just done the same thing, read it all with great interest then realised I hadn't posted either! I'm impressed with the TT'ing for BJ, wow! And turning 2, oooh what a big spunky boy he is! As for big bed, well we moved X very abruptly a few weeks ago - as I couldn't lift him in & out of the cot (bad hips/pelvis). Currently he's on 2 mattresses on the floor and will move into the bed proper next month... and tbh it's surprised us, he's actually sleeping BETTER! He was forever bumping into the cot sides, and he seems to really prefer the bigger bed and travels all round it! We have to go in & move him down (he always travels "up"), he doesn't wake, just curls up like a snail (bum up, head down) it's so cute. Hows your PG going? How are you feeling now?

Zarava - we still have to find a date for a melb catch-up, Z & A sound like absolute characters! Poor A losing the sofa fight lol. That's so funny about the swearing. X has been very slow to talk and I used to joke and say "Xander, can you say f**k?"... DH would crack up and tell me what a bad mummy I was. And X would just stare at me and giggle! But he is finally starting to talk a bit more, so I can't do that anymore!

Moi - I hope you're feeling better. I'm sending you the bestest vibes for finding a fab new job... plus it'll be great when you guys move into your house too. Poor M has had such a bad run, I hope you can get a good few weeks/months! I think we've been a bit lucky with less bugs maybe cos X is at FDC?

Teru - how are you feeling? your little fellow sounds like such a livewire! I hope it's all going well.

AFM well I've just started on insulin again (GD again) and still just trying to manage the pelvic instability as best I can. My mum ended up staying 3 weeks, she was fantastic. We've done a heap of things to minimise lifting X, and if I'm really limited in what I do (no running errands/shopping/going to playground) then I can manage... but geez I miss all the stuff I used to do! I haven't had to use the cruches yet and I'm hopeful I'll make it through without. DH has been fantastic help, but given his own history of a bad back, we're both being very careful! Think I'll greatly appreciate mobility when I get it back though - soooo much I took for granted in the past!!!! We've been organising lots of playdates to make sure X and I aren't climbing the walls, I really hate not being about to go out & about. We've just bought X an early b'day pressie - swing/slide set from Target so that I can run him around in the backyard given we can't get to the playground. Can't wait to get it set up for him!

And on his talking, X has a fave "comfort" toy which is a lion and we've always just called it "lion", but for goodness knows what reason, X has decided it's called "Kai" (or maybe that should be kye?) - we're both mystified but it's very cute, and handy that he can now ask for it!

BELFIE - We also bout a slide swing set for BJ which we put on layby for chrissy. It also has a mini tramp at the side. He's just gonna love it. My pg is going ok. I really don't like being pg. I hate feeling so crap all the time. I'm also starting to get that pelvic pain. It didn't start till I was 25 weeks or so with BJ, so I'm just making sure I don't do anything to aggrivate it. I keep wondering if BJ will surprise us once we get him into a big boy bed. I hope so. I have decided just to keep his room bare so if he gets up in the middle of the night there's nothing for him to play with. Plus, I'll put little latches on the built in so he won't play in the cupboard (which he loves doing). We're gonna wait till after his birthday as the in laws are coming up from sydney for it so they'll need the room.

A loves her big girl bed and surprisingly doesn't get out and play, she has it down pat now we go in (even day sleep) and say you hop into bed while mummy shuts the curtains, she climbs in, pulls the blanket up and waits for me to come kiss her... he might love it more than you think.

Belfie - we will def organise a melb catch-up, i'm going to the zoo one on wed 11th and the girls in this area are having 1 on tuesday... YAY i can meet some lovely BB ladies

How is everyone else?

A bit sleep deprived here, poor Z had an allergic reaction yesterday, ended up at the hosp with her with hives and her cheeks and tongue were a little swollen, gave me the fright of my life.
Even after dealing with it with A she was NEVER that bad and has grown out of hers, then poor Z was up all night waking every hour wanting me to pat her while i paced and then i had to sleep upright most of the night when we finally did sleep.. been up since 4:30, will put her to bed soon and hopefully get a decent sleep out of her before we try and get a Dr's appt... see if they can't give me something for her to settle a bit.

A is funny and her eye is still a bit bruised, everyone keeps asking me what she did and i just say "she finally lost a fight with the couch" i am such a mean mum.
She was very worried about Z yesterday and kept wimpering while they were trying to get he stats and saying sissy ok?
She's copying everything, talking to her aunt who's a nurse she said by nanna, i said no it's aunty lyn.. she just goes... AUNTISH... no ava aunty... auntish.. no AUNTY... OH aunty.. yay!

Better go... get Z down then organise a dr i guess... argh

ZARAVA - I hope you're right. I hope it's an easy transition for him. I know his cot is getting too small for him. We do have a Boori though, so it's larger than the standard. We got out swing set from Kmart. It was down from $250 to $200. I can't wait to have a 'park' in my own backyard. BJ is just gonna love it. Gosh, i bet Z scared you. What did she react to?

We started A off on the mattress on the floor first, got her used to having no boundaries and then we got her into the bed, she fell out the 1st night and hasn't fallen out again since so we wont be getting the side protectors. he takes to it well for you.

Not 100% sure what Z reacted to, she had Vaalia my first yoghurt (banana) and the minute i wiped her face she had hives, it was quite scary, A's reaction was nothing like that.
I am assuming it's not a dairy issue as i have a lot of milk and cheese which she seems fine with, she has had banana before so i really don't know.
We have a referral to RCH allergy clinic so hopefully we will hear from them soon and can have it investigated, no new foods until we get in so i erally hope it's soon, she loves her food and i don't want to hold her back too long IYKWIM.
They have listed her as having an anephelactic (sp?) reaction as she swelled a little, so know i just have to be very careful with even what A eats around her.

It's such a pain isn't it, having to stop new foods and watch everything. It must be hard with A running around too. GL with doing it, I hope you get into RCH nice and quick. Did the GP tell you to ring the clinic after a few weeks and check they have the referral? I was told to definitely chase it up and at the very least they might be able to give you an idea of how long the wait will be.

Georgi - we're setting up our play equipment this weekend, I can't wait teheh! As for the big bed, well I hope BJ does surprise you, you deserve it especially when you're PG! Sorry to hear you're not enjoying your PG either. I was really struggling with that a few weeks ago as I just hadnt' had ANY time this PG that I had enjoyed (not even that mythically good 2nd tri), as I was always either sick, lame or dealing with GD stuff. So saying, I think things have finally settled down a bit and I'm feeling more accepting and starting to enjoy some of it (nanoseconds ) and just keep trying to remind myself of all the good things that will come. It's tough though, I felt so guilty about not enjoying it. I hope you don't get bad pelvic pain this time, it's the pits with a toddler . I have fingers crossed for you big time.

Moi - how are you feeling now? It's rough you've had more vertigo attacks recently, I think you're a star coping with it all so well plus the crappy low salt diet, but I know it isn't fun . I really hope things improve for you. M is such a cutie, I hope she can avoid catching those nasty bugs too. I love those pics of M & X having lunch together hehe, so cute.

Apart from that X is going well, FINALLY starting to talk more thank goodness! Plus he's definitely getting more agile too - he's funny, such a cruisey laid-back kid he's always on the back of the developmental curve lol! So saying, he's just learnt "bye" (now you see how slow he's been!) so tonight when we said good night to him, he laid in bed saying "bye... bye..... bye". It was just too funny!
Hmm I'd better go check on him. He's been down for 80 minutes and he's still chatting!!!

Belfie Wow, your 31 weeks now. My waters had broken by this stage lol..... I didn't start enjoying my pg with BJ till around 29 weeks. I'm hoping it'll happen sooner with this one

Have been thinking that's it's not a big deal if BJ doesn't take to moving out of the cot as I'll have this bub in the cradle for close to 6 months anyway. I can move the cradle from room to room so it can go into BJ's room until he's ready for the big bed. He'll be nearly 3 yo by the time this bub is 6 months. As long as I get their rooms sorted out before this bub comes i'll be happy
