Oh Re - DTD ... Who has the time or energy to even find which bits fit where?!?
Nikki - Yep, agree that I don't have the time or energy to DTD either! To be honest....I'm not looking forward to my Mum leaving because then I won't have an "excuse" anymore! lol It's honestly the last thing on my mind at the moment.... Yay on your little booby monster growing so well. You're definitely doing a marvelous job for sure!! Enjoy your vegie patch, clothesline and everything else your'e doing around your place!

Raffy - Snap for sure! Hope you had a great time at the markets and lunch out with DP and Coop!

Beckles - Hello there! Hope you had a great weekend with your family too!

Sparkles - Hello to you too! Glad to hear that Ty is doing well and you're right, those little goos, gaas and smiles definitely melt your heart!

AFM, went to the markets this morning with Mum and DH and went to lunch with my in-laws which was great. The entire day was actually really nice and it was great to be out and about a bit, especially with DH as we (DH, me and Noah) haven't been out much since Noah was born as DH has been at work when we do go out. Got home around 8pm and luckily Noah fed and went straight to sleep. Don't think he will wake up until his usual time around midnight for his next feed tonight, so best head off to bed for my sleep too - I don't know why but I get the feeling tomorrow and tomorrow night might be a longggggggg day/night as he is getting his 2 months needles.......my poor baby!!

Hope you're all having a great Sunday night!

    Love to you all!!

    Just a quickie!

Just a group question - is everyones bubs 'talking' and smiling? Alannah rarely smiles and when she does we practically fall over ourselves trying to see it. She never talks, the occaisional coo, maybe every 2nd day. Very disheartening when she reached 9 weeks yesterday. I know every bub is diff blah blah blah and I know she is about 3 weeks behind in development but fair dinkum...Brydz's gets smiles from Master Vinnie and he is our youngest bub!

Cooper doesnt smile very often but when he does they are huge and he'll smile for like 5 mins straight. he does talk and coo a fair bit but.
hang in there, like you said her development is a lil behind coz she was so keen to enter this world. she will catch up before you know it

Vix - Noah is similar to Cooper, he doesn't smile that often but when he does they are huge, gummy smiles and he'll keep it up for a few minutes ay a time. He does goo, gaa and coo a fair bit at times when he is alert and active too. I'm sure that she will get there and that it's nothing to worry about. Did your pediatrician ask you about her smiling when she had ger 6 week checkup? You could always give him/her a call to ask to see what they say.

AFM, took Noah to have his needles this morning and I think he took it better than I did! He screamed at the top of his lungs (never heard him scream like that before ever) when my GP and a nurse gave him an injection into each leg, but as soon as they were done, he was fine until we got to the car and her got a bit fussy, gave him a bottle of EBM and he fell asleep and slept right through our BigW shopping trip this morning. Came home, fed and had a nice sleep with me this arvo and now he is starting to become a bit more grizzly so will have to keep an eye on his temp and him and hoping for a good night.....

    Hope you're all doing well.

Hugs and kisses to you all and your beautiful bubbas!

    howdy everyone.

Vix - Alannah is so not behind! She might be just content without all the cooing and smiling. Not all babies do all the same things. She probably also does it when you don't notice.

Pretz, Nikki, Raffy, Beckels, Sparkles and whoever else I forgot BIG HELLOS!! sorry I haven't been very chatty the last little while. And I'm lost as to what everyone has been up to. Really need to try and catch up on the personals.

    AFM:
Vinny has been good. Like Vix said, he is smiling now. Its way cute I love him sooooooo much but the past few days have been a bit testing, he has been a little clingy. This is his first 'wonder week' so maybe that is the reason why, or maybe its the ridiculous hot/cold weather.. We have also been very physically busy.
We went to a party on saturday (linen party) and then had visitors saturday night, and then went to my cousins baby girls 1st birthday part yesterday in ballarat, and had to go to bendigo today for the DNA test finally!
    So its been pretty hectic.
Looking forward to several days at home doing sweet F All!
Then we are going back to bendigo on thursday to visit J and my best friend Mel who is moving away this weekend

    Hi guys

Vix - we get smiles & cooing, but some days we get none. Don't forget Alannah was 2 weeks early, so that only equals 7 weeks

Nikki - I'm with you. DTD is the last thing on my mind! I enjoyed having 6 weeks with an excuse not too.... wonder how long til DH realises the 6 weeks is up??

Finally home for good! Had a good time at Noosa, but would've been better had it not poured down rain the whole time!!

Had Summer's 6 week check & needles today. Needles were nasty She's unsettled tonight too. Poor bugger. She's now 4.8 kgs, 57 cm long & her head was 38 i think? So pretty & perfect. Specially now her reflux is starting to settle & she's sleeping. Its been over a week that almost every night she's slept til 4am from about 9pm. So thats 7 or 8 hours straight. Makes life so, so much easier!!

    Morning girls!

Thanks for your replies....I know there is nothing wrong with her...just used to two happy smiley boys who melted my heart. I sometimes wonder if all the yelling I do at a naughty 2yr old and a testosterone fueled 4yr old have something to do with it??? They are like a blumin' tornado at the moment. Bailey is so cranky these days!

Try and be back for personals later today. Have nearly lost my voice! lol

Sounds similar to my house Vix. Throw a pre teen (even though she's not 9 yet!) & you have a house full of yelling, screaming & tantrums!!

    Morning Mummies!

Brydz - Happy one month to Vinny today! I can't believe our group's youngest bubba is one month already!! Time sure does fly - too fast!!! It feels like just the other day when I still felt Noah kicking me when I was pregnant and now he is kicking me in my stomach again, but only this time when I'm changing him. His legs are getting really strong now! lol Glad to hear that you got the DNA test done. When will the results be back? Enjoy your day off doing nothing!

Clover - Welcome back home! It sucks when you go away somewhere and it rains, it kind of spoils it all doesn't it!? Sorry to hear that Summer was unsettled for ya last night with her needles. Glad that she is growing well though!

Vix - Sorry to hear that you have lost your voice. Hope it's not a cold/flu you're coming down with!

    Hello to everyone else!

AFM, Noah was really good and seems he had tolerated his needles well yesterday. He slept nearly all afternoon, had a big feed around 7pm and crashed until midnight, had a feed, was awake for about an hour, fell asleep again and slept til 5am this morning. He was awake for most of the morning this morning though and only just went to sleep about 30 mins ago, but has been a really happy little bubba so that's great! Happy baby = happy Mummy! I'm off to the physio this arvo, my back is K.I.L.L.I.N.G me, don't know how to sit, stand or lay for long anymore. I've expressed some milk for Noah and going to leave him at home here with my Mum incase he gets grizzly while we're at the physio - that might just make my already tense muscles more tense!

Well then, best grab some lunch before he wakes and before I have to leave....

    Have a great day!

    Love to you all!

Pretz yeah I know. He kicks me in the belly too, when I lay him down on my legs (sitting/laying with my knees up). Cheeky boy. I can't believe he is a month old, and our eldest bub Alannah is almost 2 months! scary how fast its going by. Won't be little babes for long at all

The DNA test will take about 10 days to come back. I look forward to seeing their reaction when it confirms everything and she (J's mum) realizes she just wasted $385 (half, cos I paid the other half).

I have had a busy day so far today. Went grocery shopping and Vinny was a very good boy and slept the whole time and then came home and did a load of washing (the towels off the change table, he poo'd on 2 of them! LOL and some MCNs).

Letting him try out his cloth nappies since yesterday. They look sooo cute on! and his butt hasn't been as red. Still got 1 and a bit packets of newborn disposables to go through (unless he outgrows them) and 2 small packets of infant disposables. But I'm planning to build up my stash of MCNs while I wait to use them all.

MCNs anyone else out there use them? what is a good reasonable priced brand that I can buy in one size fits all? most of the big brands such as itti bitti and baby beehind all come in different sizes..

My bottle says Infants under 6 months - 0.5ml. Infants and Children 6 months to 2yrs - 1ml. Children 2 to 12 yrs - 2ml. Give every half hour for up to 4 doese and then 4 hourly.

AFM: Alannah is talking a little more but only when I can do one on one with her with no one else around.

BBL. Feel a bit yuck with this virus.

Brydz - Sounds like we both have cheeky boys kicking us in the stomach! lol Glad that the DNA test results won't take too long before it comes back and yes, I too wish I could see J's Mum's reaction when she realises that she wasted that money. Glad Vinny behaved for you while you were out shopping yesterday.

Raffy - Yay on Coops great growth stats this week!! You're doing an awesome job there! Coop is bigger than Noah now - I got Noah weighed today (see AFM). Glad that you had a great time at the mothers group and that you had fun chatting with all the other Mum's. I haven't joined a mother's group as yet as my Mum has been here to keep me busy and so on, but might look at getting together with some of the girls from my antenatal class at some stage.

Sparkles - Hiya - hope you and Ty are doing well and that the Brauer's Stomach Calm helped.

Vix - Yay on Alannah talking a bit more! She's absolutely gorgeous - love the photos on FB. How's your voice? I hope that you feel better real soon! Huge 's!!

Everyone else - Hope you all and your bubs are doing well?

Group Question - Is everyone's babies sleeping through the night yet? 6/7 hours at night yet?? Or anyone's baby still waking through the night to feed too?

AFM, have had a really, really, really good little boy the last 2 days. I call him my dream baby now. He hardly cries and when he does it's because he is hungry or has a wet/dirty nappy, otherwise he is all smiles and full of coo's and gaa's! He hasn't been sleeping much during the day as he is still feeding every 2 hours or so and sleeping for about 5 hours until midnight for his feed and then wake again at around 4am-5am for his next feed before sleeping again til about 7am-7:30am. Yay!! Took Noah to get weighed at the clinic today and he gained another 300g's this week, putting his total weight at 5.19kg! His HC is 39cm and he is 60cm tall! Was a bit worried he wasn't in the average range for his age, but the CHN said that all babies are different and grow different and that as long as he falls within the lines on the growth charts in his Personal Record Book that he is fine, so that makes me feel much better. Can't believe my little boy is 8 weeks tomorrow!! Where has the time gone!? It feels like just yesterday I held him in my arms for the first time after he was born...

Well then, time for a cuppa tea with DH and Mum before heading to bed.

    Love to you all!

Pretz- i cant believe coops is bigger than noah u wouldnt think it when compring pics on fb. well done to the both of you, noah sounds like a beautiful, healthy, happy lil man

re: GQ - coops sleeps from bout 6pm-2am then 2.30am-6am then 6.30-8ish. and u cant wake him if you try, he sleeps so heavy, or he'll open one eye, give you a dirty look and close it again lol. im starting to think i should go to sleep at 6 to but by the time ive watched all my shows on tv then gotten everything ready for bed its like 11/12pm then im awake again with coops a few hours later

AFM - having the joyus 6 week wonder week, coops is very unsettled when hes awake but i think ive gotten to the point where im comfortable enough and can tolerate it better, i find im not getting as anxious when he cries anymore which sure does make life easier we have had loads of smiles and coos in between the cries but which is nice.

(speaking of - yay to Alannah for talking lots )

anyhoo i went to see harry potter today, im not a die hard fan or anything but it is a really good movie. it sure was nice to get out with the girls, while DP stayed home with Coops. missed my boys but and it was nice to see them having a cuddle, reading the paper on the front verandah when i got home

alright i had better get some sleep seen as its already 11 lol

    goodnight all

    xx
