Morning All,
Brydz - Ooohhh any day now. One way or another Vinny will be here very soon!!! being overdue is not fun :(
Vix - It's great that you can talk about the things getting you down. Regardless of any other differences between all us ladies, we all have something in common, which is our NB bubbies. I think most of us will have ups & downs at some point specially when you chuck sleep deprivation into the mix!!!
Clover - My 1st day on my own with bub too. DP back at work today. It was soooo nice having him home for 2 weeks...But I think its the best thing for me, so I don't become co-dependent, after all I plan on being a SAHM for at least a year...(well I dont really wanna go back to work at all, but as an RN I really need to keep my skills up)
AFM - I have never had PND specifically, but do have a Hx of depression. I have been really lucky with loads of support from my DP & the hospy. In fact I have an appt there today to see the shrink for follow up post birth.
I think I am doing well, but like Vix - have had some down periods since coming home due to feeding probs.
I have really struggled with BF, and had very little support from the health proff's. I've the decision to stop EBM, as my supply has just kept dropping off, and I couldn't cope with the 2nd hrly pump sessions - so sleep deprived...So we are FF here now. I find myself constanly defending/justifying it to friends/family etc, but I am stopping that from now on.
I am incredibly lucky - after losing my son last year - to be gifted with this beautiful, healthy baby girl. I refuse to dwell on the failure to BF & instead focus on enjoying this miracle of life, and being grateful to live in an age where FF is an option, & not trying to hunt down a wet nurse :o
Hope you all have a great day :D
Becxo
