Hi all... glad i brought my lappy...we're stuck! lol
We're in a small town just out of Dubbo & we got flooded in over night. Joy!
So not sure how long we'll be here, but I don't mind. MIL has a broken arm & even though her mum is sposed to be here helping her, she's not doing much at all  So I'm helping where I can while SIL & BIL are helping amuse the kids & walk Summer. Shame about school & work, but I don't think anyone's too worried  Would like to be able to wash some clothes & dry them though!!
Vix - I wash Summers clothes seperately, but I find it easy, coz I wash nappies as well. I put them all in together. I usually just wash them with a bit of dettol or antibacterial solution though. No powders. Jesse & Bri get eczema so gotta be pretty careful with all that stuff.
ETA - forgot to add that Summer slept 8 hours straight on Saturday night!!! Then went back down straight away for another 3 or 4. That was a one & only so far, but she's been doing a 5 or 6 hour stretch every night. She didn't sleep much that day, only about 2 hours all up.
Oh, bugger. Best cancel Jesse's doc app tomorrow. No way we'll be home by 9.45am lol.
Clover - still duck weather out west? It rained heavily here from about 10am - 4.30pm yesterday and then suddenly stopped! It was so quiet when it did. Weird.
Brydz - Cant beleive you have such an active social life already! WTG!
Raffy - how are you this morning?
Hello to everyone else!
AFM: If Alannah came on her REAL due date, she would be 6 weeks old today!
Off to conquor Mt Foldmore!
xxxxx
hi vix - doin well today, dad left this morning which sucks but DP and i went to the shops and upgraded our phones so thats a bit exciting. plus Coops was so well behaved. i really think the brauers stomach calm is workin wonders, i think most of his reflux is silent so we r just giving it to him every 4 hours and its made the world of difference. even if he does have tantys he sooo much easier to settle. im booked in to see the gp next week JIC and coops needs his jabs anyways
how r u today??? hope mt foldmore wasnt to hard to conquer lol
Hello Mummies!
Sorry for being MIA - have been reading all your posts on my mobile phone, but haven't had the chance to come on the PC to do some persies as I've been a bit with my clingy baby! Thankfully he hasn't been as clingy today and I seem to be able to have left him in his pram this morning when we were out and when we got home I put him on my bed and he slept there for a while. lol
Had my checkup with my OB this morning and felt a bit sad when I left there as I won't see them again until I am pregnant with baby #2 and that won't be for another 18 months to 2 years. Talked about birth control and whether I wanted to go back on the pill, which I don't want to do as it gave me terrible migraines everytime I've used it, so just going to play it safe! DH was already getting excited saying that he can't wait for me to get the all clear IYKWIM  ugh.....men!! lol So I got the all clear from my OB, except that I have to just go see my GP at some stage next week and again in a few weeks (which I will do at the same time I take Noah for his 8 week needles next week) as my blood pressure was high again this morning, the nurse checked it twice and both times were high 132/96 and 130/95. Hopefully this doesn't mean I'm going to be experiencing blood pressure problems now. My Mum, both her sisters and my grandmother all have hypertension and are all on tablets to control it, so hopefully I don't follow in their footsteps.
Getting Noah weighed again at the CHN tomorrow morning and then got Noah's checkup with the pediatrician tomorrow afternoon so hopefully he gets the all clear too, which I'm sure he will. ;)
Overall we're doing well and Noah slept another 5 hours between feeds this morning. I think I can almost say that he has a routine of feeding at midnight and then again at 4:00/4:30am so that's great! He doesn't sleep as much during the day anymore and when he does it's no longer than about an hour (if that). I guess in time he'll sort himself out and will sleep better at night. I for one, can't wait though as even when he gets 5 hours sleep for himself, I don't always and I'm still exhausted around the clock. It does get better though....yay!!
Sorry for my lack or persies, will try to pop on again soon and do some...until then...hello to everyone!
Hope you are all having a great day/arvo.
Love to you all! :heartbeat:

Hi all, must be quick because I have a heap to do while the girlie sleeps :) All is well here - she seems to have escaped reflux and colic (as did the boys - lightning seems to have struck thrice!) and is feeding well, though I had a bout of mastitis last week. Boys still love her and we are all looking forward to Christmas. Will type soon :)
Vix - I have to have a social life because my friend who is also a single mum was always cooped up at home with her baby boy and I feel sad for him not getting any interaction with others. And she goes out a lot now but he still doesn't leave the house much at 10 months old :( poor bubby. Also I don't want to get run down and go crazy being trapped at home all on my own so why not get out. Its been very social so far though because of all these birthdays and things, will settle down a bit soon I'm sure. And then theres xmas.. LOL
We went out to dinner last night. Vinny slept the whole 3 hours we were at the pub. He was in the sling and when it came time for me to eat I just slid my arm out so I had a bit more freedom to move and he just laid on my lap and slept. Such a good boy :)
Overnight we did awesomely, fed at 1130 ish, 3 and then 8am :) I was happy to get some reasonable sleep for the 3rd successive night! All three nights though we weren't at home, so it will be interesting how he goes back at home tonight..
PICKED UP MY XMAS LAYBY (one of two) today. Had to because I really really couldn't wait any longer to get the elmo swing and elmo sit me up. Both of which I've set up and find amazing and wonderful. vinny loves them and fell asleep almost immedittely using both :) yay for somewhere I can set him down when I wanna get stuff done. I felt like it wasn't fair just having him on the floor on a blanket, or in his bed all the time.
we still have a busy week planned.. can't wait for a few quiet days next week. will be nice to do nothing.
WTG Vinny!!
^^^^check out my avvy :) i LOVE it
Oh my gosh, I am keeping up to date but always on my phone, will try my very hardest to post and update today on the comp, may even try to do so soon if Ty stays asleep and I can get a shower in first. Thinking of you all!
Afternoon girls!
I am over the moon. Someone FINALLY said Alannah looks like me! Even Dh has not said it yet. I couldnt stop thanking this lady!!! lol
Pretz - Great to hear from you. You and Noah seem to be very well. His sleeps will sort out soon. WTG on the chek up...both in fact. Have to admit DH and I have been doing it like bunnies! lol Never thought I would enjoy it so much so soon after having a baby.
Brydz - I saw the pics of the Elmo stuff. So cute! All my stuff are hand me downs but I agree, better than being on the floor although Alannah has her floor play a fair bit now.
Raffy - Sl glad to hear Cooper has settled down a bit for you. Makes life easier! Yay for the new phones! I have another year to go on my contract. :( Love your Avatar. Must get mine done.
Sparkles - great to hear from you. Once I get in the shower I find it soooo hard to get out as it is the only place I don't get bugged from the kids! lol
AFM: Noah is better and now Bailey is sick. *sigh* The lady just came from Twinkle Toes to collect the photo for Alannahs portrait! Can't wait to get it. lannah is beginning to sleep through her mid morning feed now, so just am early morning feed and then a late morning / lunch feed. I did feed her at about 9am this morning and it turned out to be a dream feed! Go figure. She slept through that and a nappy change, the walk up to preschool, being puled out of the pram, being held by one of the teachers and all the kids singing, being put back in the pram and the walk home and then when we got home I left her in her rpam and she continued sleeping for another two hours! Cool bananas!!!
Okay, off to eat lunch.
xxxxx
Hi Everyone,
I am around, just busy busy busy. Will try pop back in later with some persies.
Love to you all
HI,
I can hear my little man complaining that he does not want to sleep so....had 6 week check yesterday, all good on my side of things. Tynan has been given some reflux meds which we will start on tomorrow, so fingers crossed this helps a little, he actually doesn't seem too bad the last day though, so who knows!! Sleeping through the night, or sleeping through till 4am ish otherwise, days sleeps are still pretty much non existant and he wants to be fed every 2.5 - 3 hrs(max!!), i have tried upping his feeds and he doesn't take the extra so i think he just wants food regularly!!!! Yesterday his weight is now 4.72(dressed weight,so probably about 4.55 naked), which means he has put on 1kg in 2.5 weeks!!! Also now 59cm, born 50.5!!! can't remember HC.
I am still expressing and giving Ty what i can, but my supply seems to be rapidly decreasing all of a sudden, my aim was to last till 8 weeks and that is friday week, so i will make that and then we'll see, he just does not get that a boob is for feeding off, not latching on and smiling at me or sleeping!! very cute, but not very useful!!
Anyway, best be off, will get around to perises one day....sorry!! xx
hi guys.
finally home, to head off to noosa on friday! then home for house inspection & 6 week check up on monday... hoping to put off the inspection, since i'm leaving DH & the older 2 home... not looking forward to seeing the mess they leave me!
Summer is so much more settled these days. Still has her moments, but she's sleeping during the day now. Such a relief!
will be back when i get more time guys. got so much washing & cleaning to do today & tomorrow & its bloody raining!
T.I.R.E.D!
Stupid MIL kept picking Alannah up last night (they were here for dinner) whenever I gave her to DH (for safekeeping!) for cuddles and quiet time. Even when I gave her a bath which is her wind down time for bedtime at night, she kept poking her and ticking her etc. Took me from when I put her in bed at 8.30pm till about midnight last night to get her to relax enough to fall asleep.
Clover - safe travels.
Nikki - Hope little Ben is doing well.
Sparkles - WTG!!! You have done well.
xxxxx
Hello Mummies!
Rory - Great to hear from you and glad to hear that Rose (and your boys) are lucky to have escaped reflux and colic. Sorry to hear about your mastitis last week. Hope it's all better now. :)
Brydz - Glad to hear Vinny is going so well with sleeping and good on ya for picking up all your Xmas layby's. He looks adorable in his elmo swing! Noah loves sitting in his bouncer and swing, but have never fallen asleep in either until the first time this morning in his bouncer. I couldn't believe it and was sooooo happy!! :)
Raffy - Love your new avvy! I'm still waiting for mine and can't wait to see it. Hope you and Coop are doing well. I'm sorry that I never replied to you the other day when you posted about how hard things were and that you thought you weren't coping well. Just remember that it will get easier and that you're doing a fantastic and great job with Coop and that he is a beautiful little boy. I too still have my moments with Noah as well, but have become to realise more and more that the calmer you are (as hard as it is) the more calm he will be. Please know that we're all here for you and you can always talk to us. Hope you had an awesome time with your Dad visiting.
Sparkles - Hello, glad to hear that all went well with your 6 week checkup and that Ty is growing well! Excellent job you're doing there! I have the same thing with Noah - he doesn't sleep much anymore during the day and when he does, it's only for a short time before he wakes again. He also wants to be fed every 1.5-2 hours, sometimes 3 hours, but luckily only feeds 2 times through the night (being midnight and 4am).
Vix - LOL on you and DH doing it like bunnies! I must be honest that I have not actually done it at all, mostly because my Mum is still here and it would just feel weird/strange and because I'm too tired to even think about it! lol :p Hope your boys are doing better and that they'll feel like their normal selves again soon! Sorry to hear about your MIL being a PITA with picking up and tickling Alannah last night. How annoying, I'd be fuming if it was me, especially when trying to get into a routine with her bathtime and settling time at night... HUGE
Nikki - Hey honey, hope things are going well with Ben and Summer and that they're both well. Awesome that you got your Christmas tree up already! I don't know if I'll actually get to put mine up this year if we're still living downstairs because it's so cramped and small with everything we have down here that there's just no room for my big tree. Perhaps I'll get a small cheapy tree and at least put it up. I guess I HAVE to put one up, seeing as it's our first Christmas with Noah and I'd like to make it special. ;)
Clover - Glad to hear that Summer is much more settled - hope it continues for ya. Good luck with the house inspection and your 6 week checkup on Monday.
Group Question - Forgot to ask this the other day. When I saw my OB on Tuesday, he asked how I was feeling and asked whether I was having/feeling any pain/discomfort in my perineum area where I had my 2nd degree tear and I said that it was painful the first 2-3 weeks, but that I felt fine now. Well, he checked and palpated my tummy to feel for any tenderness and palpated my ovaries, but didn't do a papsmear as I had one just before I fell pregnant and he said that I would be due for my next papsmear next year September 2011. He also didn't do a pelvic examination which I don't mind one bit about, but I was kind of thinking that he would to just double check my tear was healing and that everything looked ok. I'm not too worried about it and guess neither is my OB, but was just wondering whether this was normal to not have a pelvic exam at your postpartum checkup and whether you girls had a pelvic exam or not?
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, weighed Noah yesterday and he now weighs 4.98kg, just a little under 5kg!! Wow, sooooo happy and proud! lol He also had his pediatrician appt yesterday afternoon and the pediatrician was happy with how he is growing/doing and gave him the all clear. So happy and relieved to hear it. Talked to me about introducing solids to Noah around 4 months instead of 6 months and got an appt for Noah on 5 April next year to see him for his 6 month checkup. ;)
For those of you that know Erica1980, I'm sooooooo excited as she's coming over to my house this afternoon for a visit and to meet me and Noah. Have known her since about July 2009, so will be awesome to finally meet her in person. Soooooo excited to see her!!
Well then, have had my shower and done a nice big post without Noah waking so best prepare myself for when he does wake up, which I hope is sooner rather than later, as my boobies are crying out to be emptied! lol
Love to you all!
xoxo
realised over the last few days that my milk supply is rapidly dwindling. sometimes i run out b4 coops gets enough so i have to let him cry himself to sleep and pray he sleeps long enough for my body to produce some more. gonna try some lactation cookies, but its looking like i may have to mix feed which im a little bummed about but i just hate seeing him go hungry.
Vix - wat a PITA about ur mil, my friends do that sometimes and it really annoys me coz they go home and sleep like 10 hours straight while im up till all hours wif coops. grr
ETA - pretz (we posted at the same time) thanks for ur kind words hunni, it means alot knowin i hve u gals to talk to :) WTG on noahs weight gain. your doin well mummy. and i hvnt had my check up yet so i wouldnt no. sorry hun, but im sure it means everythings fine and ur obs not worried. DP and i attempted to dtd the other night coz i thought i was all healed and hadnt felt any pain or discomfort for weeks from my 3rd degree tear. but we didnt get far coz it flippin hurt like hell trying to penetrate (sorry TMI) so we just fooled around but i will have to ask to dr at my check up next week, thanks about the avvy, cant wait to see ur new one
Howdy girls!
Hope all are well.
Clover - hope you have a nice time in Noosa ;)
Raffy - thats a bugger about your milk supply. I hope the boosting cookies work for you :) I still suffer an oversupply problem which means my boobs get super engorged if Vinny goes for a couple of hours between feeds (which I like him to do of course, but its painful). He still only feeds from one side at any feed and often it squirts out all over his face and everywhere and I have to hand express a bit before he will latch on properly.
Pretz - hello!! hope you and Erica have a lovely time :) I went and visited my friend Alisa this arvo for 2 hours. She had her baby Thomas 3 days after Vinny was born. He is sooooo cute! I'm just glad Vinny settled while we were there because I contemplated almost not going as he was being a big cranky pants most of the day.
I love the elmo swing. he's fallen asleep in it almost every time I've put him into it :)
Nikki -yay to Ben for such awesome growing! you must be doing an amazing job!! and yay for the xmas tree! I really want to put mine up, but its in the top of my wardrobe and I can't reach to get it down unless I wander out to the back shed and grab one of the chairs.. might be something to do tomorrow.
hello to everyone else I may have missed!
AFM: well I got the net on at my place today :D yay! which means I should be on here like all the time now haha. Vinny is finally asleep so I'm enjoying a bit of net time and hopefully after that will get some food into me before he wakes up. and maybe do some vacuuming that I didn't get around to today.
tomorrow we have a health centre visit at 11AM. going to walk because its in the centre of town near all the action. this weekend is our big touristy weekend, the 'energy break through' which is where thousands of school kids from everywhere come and race peddle powered bikes among other things. Its the 20th anniversary this year so will be bigger than usual and the health centre is right near it. Its a bugger of a time to get a park and the extra traffic is hell. Maryborough is only small (8000 ppl) and during this weekend every year the population like doubles or triples.. its crazy hectic!!
Brydz - you lucky thing, my milk was the same a few weeks ago but has slowly gotten less and less, i have to use a nipple shield just so coops could get some coz he couldnt latch, and they used to get engorged after a few hours as well, but now they never get engorged unless its the weekend when DP gets up 2 coops and i go for like 9 hours without feedin him. even expressin is hard, i only have like 50ml to express at a time so to get enough for a whole night takes me all day!! he use to only need one side to but now emptys both and still wants more. pretty bummed bout it, but it will mean i can feed him when i have enough and top him up with FF and i wont have to express anymore either :)
yay 4 gettin the internet at ur house :) and im glad vinny settled for u while u were wif ur friend
AFM - a friend of mine is up from melbourne and she hadnt met cooper yet so i just met up wif her and another friend at the shop and we've decided to go on a cruise next year :) prob go around may/june so coops will be 7-8 months and i think ill be able to leave for a week - maybe - but i think ill ask my parents to pitch in coz its my 21st and i cant think of anything else i would want lol. so im pretty excited bout that :)
Raffy, try the lactation cookies. They work well from what I've heard :) You can also try other things. Motilium, fenugreek, maxalon. Go into the BFing problems & support & you'll get suggestions. The best thing you could possibly do though, IMO, is just feed Cooper non stop over the next day or 2. The more you feed the more you will make & it only takes a day or 2 to boost that supply. Wake him for feeding every hour through the day if you want. Its the best thing to try while you decide what else you can do :)
OMG, Summer almost got DH in the back of the head with spew this morning. So funny. Projectile straight over my shoulder & pillow. Funny thing is that I didn't have her on my shoulder... she was sitting on my lap!! Fabulous 4am wake up ;)
As much as I love her longer sleeps (that was her first wake up for the night) I see why they say feed smaller amounts more often. Sat night after her 8 hour sleep the vomit came out her nose all over both of us! Not sure which I prefer... her sleeping, then gorging & puking, or waking her every few hours to probably be rejected anyway :dunno:
Anyways, I'm getting sleepy. Night girls xx
Clover - that is so funny! Gross but funny!
Raffy - My packet for Fenugreek Flow Tea says it is a unique blend of herbs containing nutrients benefial when bf. I can honestly say it worked for me. I started on one cup a day in the evening and then started having one in the arvo and one in the evening. Now I just have it every fe days!
GTG
xxxxx
howdy just a quick one.
Vinny and I walked with the pram down to the health centre and back. Lovely day for a walk, bit windy (and the wind is cold) but nice and sunny and bright. It was great exercise :)
He has gained 250g in the last 8 days and 1.5cm longer. My little chub bub. He fed when we got home and unfortunately I can hear him stirring now. Bugger, thought he would sleep a couple of hours but I think I woke him with the vacuum cleaner. Oh well at least my floors are clean. Except the bathroom, tried doing that and the strength of the vac was sucking up the lino
clover and vix - thanks for ur suggestions im gonna try anything, its just easier and cheaper to BF and i enjoy the bonding :)
clover - how funny, cooper projectiles to when hes gona ages without a feed and then drinks to much, and yeh it comes out his nose and everythin lol. for some reason it only seems to be all over me and my side of the bed
Brydz - WTG Vinny!! what a champ.
AFM - we spent all morning at the pet shop. DP was there to talk to the guy about snake enclosures but we almost left with a gorgeous hand raised bourke parrot. the guy didnt know how much he was worth so he was gonna give him to us for $50 :o freaking bargain for a handraised bird. then i went to lunch at my old work with the gals. Cooper has been sooo good today. but hes had enough of tummy time so im gonna go give him a cuddle.
BBL xx
*sneaks in*
Ladies, NOAH is SUPER SUPER SUPER CUTE! I was one lucky girl getting cuddles with him yesterday. And his mumma is lovely, so glad we finally got to meet up. My first belly buddy :)
Hope you're all enjoying motherhood!
*sneaks out*
Morning girls!
Erica - we need to organise our meet up!
Brydz - WTG with the big oer night sleep! Happy 4 weeks Vinnie.
Raffy - Alannah does not so much chuck up but overflows. Just runs out of her mouth. Last night she was having her bottle and fell asleep. I just happen to look away for a moment and when I looked back the formula was running out her mouth! Woops! Needless to say I ended up with it all over the pillow. lol
AFM: gorgeous day here today. I have turfed the boys outside. They are so LOUD! Baileys turn this week for a big scratch on his nose from rough play, anti biotics plus eye drops. Noah was fine yesterday but took him to the GP any as his eczema on his bum is out of control. Have upped the steriod we are using. It mad a massive diff overnight but the GP told us and HIM :) to must use the toilet. So starting from when we got home yeserday arvo, I am tt (for the 4th time and hopefully the last) him. He is so darn stubborn at times though but seems to be fine atm because we keep rminding him Dr told him to USE THE TOILET! She aslo promised him more jellybeans next week when we go back. (and darn it! He woke with greem snot this morning too!)
DH's last day for Tafe today and the last day of this female I think that might just be a little too friendly. LONG story but it has been a major thorn in my side for almost 13 weeks now. Been very stressy too which is why I have not caught up with Erica. (I hope I get to meet Lachy!!!!!) Anywaaaays, as my Dad says, onwards and upwards!
Best run, Alannah is cranky this morning!
xxxxx
Morning Mummies!
Just went for a walk down our 300m driveway to get Noah to sleep, he was a bit overtired again this morning, but thankfully went down easily. ;) Good exercise for me too walking up and down the driveway! lol
Yay I got my new avvy - like it!? I love it!!
Raffy - You're very welcome and thank you, I sometimes still worry that Noah isn't feeding well and that he won't gain enough weight, but once I've gotten him weighed and I hear how much he has gained and get a WTG from the CHN I feel much better. lol I'm sorry to hear that dtd has been painful for you, I have heard from my other girlfriends and have read that dtd can be painful for some after having a baby especially a first baby and especially when you've had a tear, so that could possibly be why. I would definitely mention it to your OB when you go for your checkup though. Sorry to also hear about your milk supply. Are you drinking lots of water and drinking some water when you're feeding Cooper? I hate water with a passion and never used to drink it, but during my pregnancy started drinking it and now drink it all the time and try to drink about a glass or 2 while I'm feeding Noah and that seems to help a little for me. Yay about thinking of going on a cruise next year - you'll LOVE it, I loved ours in May this year. Definitely worth it and the food is to die for - that's probably where I gained MOST of my pregnancy weight! lol
Brydz - I had an awesome time with Erica and it was great to meet her in person. She's a lovely and awesome person and I hope to be able to catch up with her again soon and for longer as she couldn't stay for very long, but it was still nice to meet up. When I go down to Sydney I'm definitely not leaving without meeting up with her and meeting her little boy and also hope that I can meet the lovely Vix!! ;) Yay for getting the net at your place and for Vinny being a good boy for ya when you visited your friend. Awesome news on Vinny's excellent weight gain.
Clover - Funny that Summer almost got your DH in the back of the head! lol
Erica - Awww, thanks honey. Glad that you were able to get cuddles with Noah. It was really great to meet you. I can't wait to do it again!
Vix - Yay for the gorgeous day you have there today. I hope that you get to catch up with Erica sometime soon too, she's an awesome, gorgeous girl and it was lovely to see and meet her. When I come to Sydney oneday, I definitely plan to meet up with you too (if you want offcourse) and perhaps if you're keen, you, me and Erica could all get together with our kiddies and have a good catch up. I'm glad to hear it's DH's last day at Tafe and the last day of that woman (I remember you told about her a while back).
Nikki - Hope everything on your end is going well and that Summer and Ben are both well.
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, had a pretty good last few days with Noah and he has been really good during the day. He doesn't sleep much or for long and when he is awake he is cooing and chatting away, playing with me and Mum. He's getting cuter and cuter by the day. Still feeding only 2 times through the night, once between 23:00 and midnight and once between 4:00 and 5:00am and usually goes right back to sleep so I don't mind. ;)
Better go, he is stirring, but will be back again later...
Love to you all!
xoxoxo
Omg Pretz you are too kind! I'm back 10th-11th Feb next year so lock me in for a visit! I'll even try and stay for the weekend this time!! (if I don't miss my LO too much that is!!)
Yes Vix we need to catch up for coffee! I'm pretty busy with work and other things until the end of the year so definitely early in the new year ok??
Raspberries to all your LOs!!
Xx
was gonna come on here and do persies but cooper just poohed EVERYWHERE!! (he was in a nappy but it escaped) so i had him butt end in the shower and then palmed him off to DP and put all the clothes and towels in soaker and sat down to feed him and he projectile vomited everywhere. poor lil man has it coming out both ends. now hes screaming his lil lungs out in his bouncer so i better go have cuddles
BBL
xx
Erica - 10-11 Feb sounds great  just let me know if you wanna stay over - you're more than welcome to honey! ;)
Raffy - Sorry to hear about Coop pooing and vomiting everywhere, I had the same thing happen with Noah this arvo, his poo went EVERYWHERE, even on me, so we gave him a bath and I had my shower while my Mum settled him. lol I also got peed on this morning when I was busy changing his nappy. Had to change his clothes and mine so there's 2 sets of clothing for each of us in the washing today! lol I don't even usually bother half the time changing when I get spewed on unless it's a lot, but when I get pooed and peed upon, I usually change. lol
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, Noah is having a nice sleep and I just did some stuff on the PC, so thought I'd post while I get the chance... Off to go help Mum make dinner. I can't believe in 2 weeks today she is already on her way back home :crying: - don't want to even think about her leaving yet as I'm going to miss her terribly! Luckily we're already talking about planning for her and my Dad both coming over next year around Noah's first birthday. It's such a shame my Dad couldn't get leave from work to come over too... :( DH, Mum and I are going to try to watch a movie on DVD tonight...hopefully Noah is a good boy and lets us enjoy it without having to pause it. lol
Have a great night ladies and hugs to you all and your beautiful bubba's!
xoxo
:happybirthday: Vix!!! :confetti:
Hope you have an awesome day and many more happy birthdays to come!
Thinking of ya!

LOVE your avvy as well.

Happy Birthday Vix!!! :happyforyou:
And Happy 6 weeks to Cooper!!!
Everything going well here. Ben still being the ultimate booby monster. Got him weighed on Thursday and hes now 5.9kg, 59.5cm long and HC 41cm!! Nurse said he is perfectly in proportion. Just on the 97th percentile on every graph. Very happy with a proportionate baby thankyou!!
Anyhoo got to run off to Bunnings, doing the Vege patch, clothesline, gardens, mulch and pebbles out the back today. Hoorah!!
Have a nice day at the markets raffy and Pretz!!
Oh Re - DTD ... Who has the time or energy to even find which bits fit where?!?
happy Birthday VIX!!
Nikki - I'm with you, when i'm in bed i want to SLEEP!! Although i think DH is starting to feel unwanted in the DTD department so i better find some energy!!
Lazy sunday here, Ty has been having a good day being very loud with his goos & gaas & his smiles just melt my heart!
*Updated photo on ticker, big smiles during nappy off time!*
Nikki - Yep, agree that I don't have the time or energy to DTD either! To be honest....I'm not looking forward to my Mum leaving because then I won't have an "excuse" anymore! lol :p It's honestly the last thing on my mind at the moment.... Yay on your little booby monster growing so well. You're definitely doing a marvelous job for sure!! Enjoy your vegie patch, clothesline and everything else your'e doing around your place!
Raffy - Snap for sure! Hope you had a great time at the markets and lunch out with DP and Coop! ;)
Beckles - Hello there! Hope you had a great weekend with your family too! :)
Sparkles - Hello to you too! Glad to hear that Ty is doing well and you're right, those little goos, gaas and smiles definitely melt your heart! :D
AFM, went to the markets this morning with Mum and DH and went to lunch with my in-laws which was great. The entire day was actually really nice and it was great to be out and about a bit, especially with DH as we (DH, me and Noah) haven't been out much since Noah was born as DH has been at work when we do go out. Got home around 8pm and luckily Noah fed and went straight to sleep. Don't think he will wake up until his usual time around midnight for his next feed tonight, so best head off to bed for my sleep too - I don't know why but I get the feeling tomorrow and tomorrow night might be a longggggggg day/night as he is getting his 2 months needles.......my poor baby!!
Hope you're all having a great Sunday night!
Love to you all!!

Just a quickie!
Just a group question - is everyones bubs 'talking' and smiling? Alannah rarely smiles and when she does we practically fall over ourselves trying to see it. She never talks, the occaisional coo, maybe every 2nd day. Very disheartening when she reached 9 weeks yesterday. :( I know every bub is diff blah blah blah and I know she is about 3 weeks behind in development but fair dinkum...Brydz's gets smiles from Master Vinnie and he is our youngest bub!
xxxxx
 vix
Cooper doesnt smile very often but when he does they are huge and he'll smile for like 5 mins straight. he does talk and coo a fair bit but.
hang in there, like you said her development is a lil behind coz she was so keen to enter this world. she will catch up before you know it
Vix - Noah is similar to Cooper, he doesn't smile that often but when he does they are huge, gummy smiles and he'll keep it up for a few minutes ay a time. He does goo, gaa and coo a fair bit at times when he is alert and active too. I'm sure that she will get there and that it's nothing to worry about. Did your pediatrician ask you about her smiling when she had ger 6 week checkup? You could always give him/her a call to ask to see what they say.
AFM, took Noah to have his needles this morning and I think he took it better than I did! He screamed at the top of his lungs (never heard him scream like that before ever) when my GP and a nurse gave him an injection into each leg, but as soon as they were done, he was fine until we got to the car and her got a bit fussy, gave him a bottle of EBM and he fell asleep and slept right through our BigW shopping trip this morning. Came home, fed and had a nice sleep with me this arvo and now he is starting to become a bit more grizzly so will have to keep an eye on his temp and him and hoping for a good night.....:crossfingers:
Hope you're all doing well.
Hugs and kisses to you all and your beautiful bubbas!

howdy everyone.
Vix - Alannah is so not behind! She might be just content without all the cooing and smiling. Not all babies do all the same things. She probably also does it when you don't notice.
Pretz, Nikki, Raffy, Beckels, Sparkles and whoever else I forgot BIG HELLOS!! sorry I haven't been very chatty the last little while. And I'm lost as to what everyone has been up to. Really need to try and catch up on the personals.
AFM:
Vinny has been good. Like Vix said, he is smiling now. Its way cute :) I love him sooooooo much but the past few days have been a bit testing, he has been a little clingy. This is his first 'wonder week' so maybe that is the reason why, or maybe its the ridiculous hot/cold weather.. We have also been very physically busy.
We went to a party on saturday (linen party) and then had visitors saturday night, and then went to my cousins baby girls 1st birthday part yesterday in ballarat, and had to go to bendigo today for the DNA test finally!
So its been pretty hectic.
Looking forward to several days at home doing sweet F All!
Then we are going back to bendigo on thursday to visit J and my best friend Mel who is moving away this weekend :(
Hi guys :)
Vix - we get smiles & cooing, but some days we get none. Don't forget Alannah was 2 weeks early, so that only equals 7 weeks :)
Nikki - I'm with you. DTD is the last thing on my mind! I enjoyed having 6 weeks with an excuse not too.... wonder how long til DH realises the 6 weeks is up??
Finally home for good! Had a good time at Noosa, but would've been better had it not poured down rain the whole time!!
Had Summer's 6 week check & needles today. Needles were nasty :( She's unsettled tonight too. Poor bugger. She's now 4.8 kgs, 57 cm long & her head was 38 i think? So pretty & perfect. Specially now her reflux is starting to settle & she's sleeping. Its been over a week that almost every night she's slept til 4am from about 9pm. So thats 7 or 8 hours straight. Makes life so, so much easier!!
