Clover - Wow, I truly hope that my bleeding doesn't continue for much longer let alone 8 weeks as that would drive me nuts! :wall: Glad to hear that your bleeding is nearly finished this time around! ;) Hope Summer has been good for you today.
Brydz - Thanks honey. Yes I agree too, Jacarandas are beautiful. There are millions of Jacaranda trees in South Africa, so it'll be a bit of a reminder of South Africa, my family and my Nan whenever I see the tree as it grows and blooms. Good luck with everything tomorrow - hope it all goes well. I  and hope that J's Mum is not there. Hope you enjoy having your Dad and brother over to visit and meet Vinny. Oh and you're not the only one, the pregnancy baby brain and forgetting things is NOTHING compared to when you are sleep deprived and have a baby!! My memory is shot too and I can't seem to remember ANYTHING. It feels like I'm going nuts because I can't remember a thing!!
Vix - How do you get Allanah to sleep from 9pm to 5am??? That is awesome!! I would LOVE to have that with Noah.. (see AFM below). Hope you were able to get some kind of rest/sleep today and that Allanah, Bailey and Noah were good for you. LOL  about Scooby Doo 13!! Cute!!
Sparkles - LOL don't worry, you're not the only one with being ahead in time or forgetting things, I'm the same.
Raffy - I have the same thing with Noah not wanting to be put down (see AFM below). I'm not sure about the sneezing, but Noah sneezes a bit too, so guessing it's normal. Glad to hear that he is holding his head up so well.
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, sooooooooooo tired!! :wall: Noah has the habit of not wanting to be put down or wanting to be put to sleep in his basinette until he is in a DEEP sleep. If you put him in there or down he screams. lol He was awake from 2:25am this morning until after 6am and then fell asleep until 7:30 when he was awake screaming again. He was awake from around 7:30am until well after lunch and although he seemed settled, became overtired and frustrated, fighting his tiredness until about 2:30pm when he finally fell asleep and slept til 5pm, had a feed, a bath, another feed at 7:30pm and is now asleep....I am going to head to bed too as I'm sure it won't be long until he wakes again. Hopefully I can get some sleep, even if it's just 2 hours or something. lol Noah is 4 weeks today.....wow, I can't believe it's already been 4 weeks since I gave birth to my little boy!!
Hope you all have a great night!
xoxo

OH crap I have fallen so far behind again. I literally have to push myself to get out of the house in the mornings by 10.30am so getting on here is truly difficult atm haha but Im sure you are all finding the same thing ;)
I really need to change my routine so Im the first to get dressed in the mornings, not the last!!
WAY TO GO on all the massive weight gains for the little lads out there (Cooper, Noah and Ty!). You are all doing so well mummies!!
My boy is a monster ... literally growing before my eyes. He now weighs 5.2kg and has grown 6cm in length since birth. WTF!! Perhaps he has gigantasism??
Ahhh gtg, Summer is pestering Ben and trying to push the dummy in his mouth while he is asleep.
Will try get back on later today - love to all

Just another quickie!!
CHN came out this morning. Shock! Horror! Alannah is now 4.48kg. Her birth weight was 3.2kg (up by 1.28kg)and Dianne (CHN) was super happy with her. Head circ is 37cm and at birth it was 33.2cm. I had a really good look at Alannahs thighs this morning and they are so chubby. It is different when someone else is changing your babys nappy for you. Made me see her in a diff light so-to-speak.
Spoke to her about me......borderline PND. She is coming out in 2 weeks time again to see me (more than Alannah) and to do another PND test. In the meantime though or whenever I can she wants me to get in contact with my counsellor again. We discussed meds as I think I might need them this time as it is affecting my relationship with DH (although he could meet me half way) and the boys. She said they are some really good ones out there (in med land!) that will still allow me to be me and not feel like I am being controlled by a substance - make sense? That is a BIG factor for me. I need to remain in control. (A control freak that is outta control and yet needs to feel in control! )
We also spoke about Alannahs reflux. She said what I am doing atm is great and to def have the Pediatrician check her out as it sounds possible.
She is fine with me giving Alannah a top up ff after her last bf at night but only to do a 60ml bottle rather than a 120ml. (She only drinks between 10 and 40ml anyways most nights) She was happy to learn that I did it for my own sanity rather than 'what the text book says i should do'!
Have more stuff but am toooooooo tired. Have just put Alannah down so now my turn!

Wow, sounds like everyone's bubba's are doing great! Weight gains are good :)
My chn came out again earlier in the week. Summer hit just over 4kg on the scales, but that was with a full cloth nappy on. Bare weigh would probably be just under, but the little porka's probably reached it now, lol. I can see the growth & changes in her. She's so bright eyed. We think she's trying to smile already, but isn't quite getting it out yet, lol. So cute though. DD1 was only 3 weeks when she first smiled. Guess it helps that she was over due.
Loving that our weather is finally warming up! For how long I don't know, but i got to take bub out in a pretty t shirt & nappy today. Love having pretty cloth nappies to show off, lol. Got a few mentions of us in the paper again too... 15 minutes of fame are still going strong
Nikki - I'm feeling exactly the same. My house is trashed & I spend ever spare minute trying to get it all organised again, but never get it all done in a day :( Its driving me nuts!!
Vix - glad your onto your feelings hun. You're doing well. Look after yourself ok xx
Oh we have thrush atm. Fan freakin tastic! Feeding is killing me. Hopefully it'll clear up soon. 2 days is enough for me. Feels like itchy needles stabbing my nipples everytime she attaches. It settles into the feed, but still hurts. Nothing can ever just go smoothly can it???
Thanks for your thoughts the other day too. In the few hours of that guys funeral not a single car drove past my house, & I live on one of the busiest streets in town.
Looks like he had a good send off though (I've seen the mangina photo's on facebook as proof! Scary!!)
Hope everyone else is sleeping well xx

howdy all.
WOW what an amazing day! Went to see J and his family. Vinny was an absolute angel the entire time we were there. :)
J was not home alone, his mum was there but she absolutely amazed me with her hospitality and general demeanour. She was sooooooooooooo friendly and goo'd and gah'd over Vinny like she genuinely loved him like any other person who's met him. She showed me some baby pictures of J and his brothers and talked to me with respect. I felt very welcomed.
J was ecstatic to have cuddles and was very happy. He changed his first poopie nappy as soon as we arrived.
His brother and his brothers girlfriend were visiting too and they were lovely and had a great time fussing over Vinny. They all had cuddles and took pictures.
This is a picture of J with his son. DSCF4353.jpg picture by brydz05 - Photobucket
There was no talk about me leaving them alone with him for a while. There was no talking about them and us separately. He wet through on of his outfits and I left it there with them. He got a bit cold so they put a pair of socks and a beanie on him which were a gift from his uncle and I was allowed to take him home in them. They finally seem to be seeing sense. What is his is his and we can share it all.
I don't have any worries that J will want to take him for a prolonged amount of time. Not any time soon. After me being there about 2 hours (i stayed almost 4 hours) I could see J becoming more and more uncomfortable. He decided he didn't want to hold Vinny any more, and didn't want to change his nappies, he just paced around the house like he wanted me to leave. I get the impression after a little while the novelty just wore off because he realized newborn babies are pretty boring. All they do is eat, and sleep, and poop.
They are considering coming to visit us at my place on Sunday. So that will be nice :)
-
Vix - Glad to hear the CHN is looking after you and hearing your concerns and acting on them. I hope you dont have PND, but if thats what you have, i guess its better to have it diagnosed and start getting onto something that will make you feel better  LOL at you describing yourself as A control freak that is outta control and yet needs to feel in control! I think we all feel like that some days huh. Alannah has gained a fantastic amount of weight!!! I know what you mean about not realising how chubby your baby is until someone else is holding them or changing them. I still see Ben as a tiny little newborn but oh my goodness he is far from it.
Brydz - Great photo of J with his little boy ... Im sure it will be a treasured photo for a lot of people. Fantastic that you enjoyed visiting them and his Mum was not a PITA this time!!! HOpefully you have another good visit on Sunday!
Clover - Bummer about the thrush and awesome weight gain for little Summer too!!
AFM - I finally bit the bullet and bought the infant size huggies nappies. Ben is 5.2kg and Im still trying to squeeze him into the last of his newborns (up to 5kg) so Im having a lot of trouble with poo explosions out the sides. 3 more days and I think I will have used them all by then. Man I feel like such a scabber haha Should really just save the leftovers as a present to someone else having a baby ... there are that many around at the moment. Anyhoo Im waffling. Going to go cook a banana loaf ... yum :D
-
Just a quicky from me before dinner time (I'm starvinggggg) lol :p
Nikki - Wow that Ben is at 5.2kg's and already in infant nappies! It's great that he is growing so well though! I hear ya on the dressing yourself first in the mornings. I should do that too, but before I know it, it's like 10am or later and I'm still in my pj's, I still haven't brushed my hair or teeth and still going. lol I have found if I have to go somewhere I have to start getting myself and Noah ready (including feeding him) about 2 hours before we have to leave or else we're running late! lol
Vix - Woot woot on Allanah's great weight gain too! That's excellent!! I too hope that you don't have/get PND, but like Nikki said, if you do have it, then it's good that you are getting it diagnosed and working through it. Just remember that you're an awesome and fantastic Mummy and that you're doing an EXCELLENT job raising your beautiful boys and beautiful little girl!! Hope you were able to have a nap this arvo!
Clover - Excellent that Summer is growing well too and have tipped the 4kg mark! It's adorable when they're trying to smile. I have noticed Noah smile at me a few times in the past few days and have tried to take a photo but have only gotten one photo this arvo of him giving a "mild" smile! lol
Brydz - Soooooooo happy to hear it all went well honey and that even J's Mum was nice and lovely. Nice photo of Vinny and his Daddy too. I hope that everything continues to go well and that the support you will receive from them in future just continues to grow and get better.
Group Question (again sorry) - How many bowel movements are your babies having? Noah hasn't had any bowel movements for 2 days now.... the CHN said that it is normal for babies Noah's age (3-4 weeks and older) to not have bowel movements sometimes for 10 days....although that might be true, I can only imagine that it mustn't be fun for the poor little things to go that long without a poo.....
AFM, went to see my girlfriend this morning for a visit at her house and Noah was sleeping for 3 hours without a peep while we were gone but as soon as we got home he started screaming and wouldn't settle. He would feed, then have milk pouring out of his mouth (looked like he was throwing up his milk), then scream, then wanting to feed some more, then have another vomit, then scream again, then wanting to feed again and so it kept going until about 4:45pm. I phoned the CHN and she said that it sounds like a bit of reflux, however to continue feeding him when he demands it and if not better tonight to take him to Emergency to have it checked out or tomorrow to take him to GP. My Mum took him for a walk outside and calmed him down just around 5pm and then we gave him a bath. I then layed with him on my chest and he finally fell asleep and has been for nearly an hour (yay!!). Was soooooo worried, but he seems calm and content now. I just hope he stays that way as I never had a nap today and am exhausted already and hoping for a GOOD night tonight. lol
Sorry, I'm rambling....dinner is ready so better go eat! lol
Love to you all!
Me xoxo

Well, after Vix mentioning something about stuffiness in reflux bub's I went & looked it up (after being vomitted on twice this morning).
Sounds like Summer is a sufferer as well. Fabulous. DD2 was a reflux/colicy bub, but I didn't know anything about it back then. Hers was silent, so even though she screamed for hours on end & was probably in horrible pain, noone thought it was much of a problem.
Explains so many things about our miss though... awesome!

Hello Mummies!
Just a quicky from me.....
Had a terrible afternoon and night yesterday. Noah didn't want to settle and kept screaming. He hadn't done a poo for 3 days and it looked like he was very uncomfortable. Everytime he passed wind/gas he screamed. I was in tears too as I didn't know what to do for him or how to help him. He was also vomiting after each feed and I was worried he wasn't getting any milk in. :crying:
This morning I couldn't stand him screaming anymore and phoned my GP. Got an appt and took him to have him checked out.
Sounds like a lot of our bubba's have reflux/colic. My GP checked him out and said that it's reflux and that it appears bubs is constipated. :( He gave some medication and since coming home around 1pm and giving him the meds he has been much more calm and content and this evening just after I gave him a bath he did the BIGGEST POO ever!! lol It was sooooo bad it leaked out of his nappy and through his clothes so we gave him another bath!
He seemed to feed better too and went to sleep almost instantly. I'm sooooooo happy to have my sweet, calm and content baby back (hope I don't jinx myself by getting too excited too soon).
I guess I better head to bed too for some sleep before he wakes up.
Hope everyone and all the gorgeous bubbies are doing well! Hugs to you all!

Hey Ladies, sorry i'm so far behind the 8 ball with this thread i come on BB and then forget to check in here.
We're doing well, i'm still exclusively expressing and Ben is loving the EBM, i'm making some cooking today to help keep my supply up. Ben is 4weeks old today, it's going quick already!, he's able to hold his head up on his own alot of the time now and has been trying to hold his head up on his own since day dot, i'll try and burp him and he'll be trying to put his feet flat/down and push/stand up, he's so strong i'm blown away. Ben is having his 4week check-up a the clinic on Nov 11th in the morning and then his 6-8week check-up on Nov 22nd in the afternoon.
Hope you're all well, i'll try and pop in more often.
-
oops just realised i havent written in here for ages but i hadnt noticed coz i do actually read the new posts everyday.
Pretz - WTG Noah on his giant pooh!! im sure he feels much better. well done to you for keeping your cool (as much as humanly possible) and then finding out what was wrong with the little guy. good job mummy!!
Vix - nice one handed typing (we've all been there lol) and happy 6 weeks Alannah!!
Clover - hope the GP can shed some light on whats upsetting Summer.
JCE0810 (nice name change btw) - Cooper sounds the same as Ben with the head control and standing on my legs when im trying to burp him. good strong lil boys :)
:hello: Sparkles, Nikki, Brydz, JCE0810 (nice name change btw)
AFM - had the CHN come out today. Coops has put on another 130g in a week and is now 56cm and HC is 39cm!! such a lil buddha. hes had a few unsettled moments lately but nothing crazy. just frustrating coz they r usually at bout 4am. hes fast asleep at the moment and this is the first time in like a week that ive been able to get on the computer and type with both hands. usually putting him down is completely out of the question lol. anyways DP just sent me a message saying there could be a hail storm on the way so im off to put my car in the garage. dam sucky whether :(
-
Clover - Good luck at the GP, hope it all goes well! :crossfingers:
Sparkles - Hope you have a great time with your family visiting and glad to hear things are well on your end! Happy one month to Ty! ;)
Vix - Thanks for the tip, will definitely be trying the sultanas (I already have yogurt after dinner each night, but might perhaps have some during the day too). :D Excellent on the one hand typing! It's hard to do, but sometimes you don't have a choice! lol Happy 6 weeks to Alannah for yesterday! The time sure does fly (toooooo fast!!).
JCE0810 - Great to hear from you and glad to hear Ben is loving the EBM! Happy 4 weeks to Ben today!
Raffy - Happy 3 weeks to Cooper for yesterday! Wow, our newborns are all nearly a month old now!! Yes, I'm soooo happy he did his big giant poo and has been much better. He hasn't done another poo yet, but I'm sure it'll happen. lol Thanks honey. It's hard when to keep your cool when your baby is screaming and crying for hours on end and you feel sooooo helpless because you don't know what to do anymore. I'm so glad that I too him to the GP or else it would have driven me insane with worry. Yay on the great weight gain Coops did this week and don't worry, Noah still have his unsettled periods too (I see everyone's babies have them so it makes me a bit more at ease because it has to be normal). lol :p
Hello to Nikki, Brydz, Beautitude, MrsB26, Rory and everyone else! :hello:
AFM, Noah seems to be doing much better  and slept from about 7:30pm til 2:00am this morning, but didn't go back to sleep until 7:00-ish this morning. Me and Mum went to sleep around 8:30am this morning and was able to sleep until 10:15 this morning! Yay!!! Noah woke again at 11:00am for a feed and again at 12:15pm and again at 1:30pm, took him for a bit walk down our 300m driveway and checked the mail at the road and finally got him to sleep about 2:30pm. Should really go have a nap too right now, but Mum and I have to fold some washing, do dishes and tidy up a little. lol Hopefully he sleeps a little bit longer.
Hope you all have a great arvo!
Love to you all!
xoxo

Hi All,
Glad to know I'm not the only one with an unsettled bub at times. Madison had a terrible time last week, - hardly sleeping & very unsettled :( It was so exhausting, It felt like I was constantly in tears. I think she has bouts of constipation, even though her poos seem quite soft & she goes either daily or 2nd daily, she strains soooo hard. I was told by the CHN that she can go 10 days, but our GP said no way - 3 days max. Have some glycerin pess. if needed, but havent used them as yet. She has also been a bit clogged in the nose - I bought the Fess littlenoses thing today & will give it a go :)
Luckily since the weeked, she has settled down, but I find she wont sleep in her bassinette during the day, just wants to be cuddled, which makes life very difficult! After only 3 1/2 hrs sleep since previous night, I layed down this arvo on my bed with her & had 2 hrs solid sleep...bliss!
Can't believe how quickly time is flying, our bubs sure are growing.
Hope your all having a great evening
Bec xo

Hello ladies.
I hadn't checked in here for a few days because I got no email updates so figured nobody had been online.
Vinny is going great :) He is such a beautiful boy. Last night he was fed at 11pm and this morning he had to be woken at 0630. That's a long time between feeds! I was soooooo proud. After the night before when we were up half the night and didn't get a lot of sleep.
Things with J are fantastic! We went to visit him again yesterday :) He got to feed a bottle of ebm and then change poopy bum. He seemed to be more interested and held and cuddled Vinny for like an hour just staring at him. His brother joked about how boring babies are and I said to J "you realized that the other day didn't you?" and he nodded and laughed. I have no doubt he loved his son, but I think he was expecting newborns to be slightly more interesting.
Ah well. At least he won't want him on his own for a while yet :D
Met J's grandmother yesterday, his mums mum, I was a bit worried about it, but she was really lovely and they all made me feel so welcome again :D
We have almost sorted out the dna test. His mum paid on her credit card and I'm just waiting for her bank details to pay her back my half and then we will get our date for the test, do it and wait for the results. Can't wait! Just wanna see the way they react when they no longer think I'm lying (although I think his mum knows now after seeing Vinny and comparing baby pics).
She goes ga ga over him. Its adorable. Just like any nanna/grandma should. Thank goodness she has seen the light!!
Last night I think I was getting mastitis :( I woke with a horrible fever and just felt yuk all over. My left boob was really sore and had a rock hard lump underneath. I showered and massaged it out and then expressed and this morning used it for his feed. So far so good, it feels a lot better and my fever has gone away too :D
Today Vinny and me, and mum are going for a 2 hour drive to Wallan to get his newborn portraits done! yay :) I hope he is a good boy and we get some awesome shots. Can't wait to see them all afterwards.
Sorry for the me post.
Will come back on and do some personals later tonight if I can
take care
xo

Morning gals.
Beckels - I can't remember if you are FF or BF. A BF bub can go for a week without poos but I think if they seem distressed and uncomfy, seeing your GP is a good idea. Not sure about FF but like I said I can't remember which way you are feeding.
Brydz - Great news but make sure you def get her bank details incase she says 'she had to pay' iykwim! Have fun with Vinnie getting his portraits done.
To all new Mummies - if you need more help etc with BF, go to the Australian Breastfeeding Association website. You can join thier online forum etc
Ummm, AFM: Alannah slept all night again...so I guess she is now sleeping though as it has been almost a week. She beat her big brothers! Bailey was 8 weeks, Noah was 6 weeks and she was 5 weeks. CHN wants me to wake her in the night but I know my kids and they have all slept through early (and earlier as each one came along it seems! lol)
Best book her in for her 2 month needles.....yikes! That crept up on me.
Freeeeeeeeeeeeezing here today. Had some great rain last night which means my boys will be a mess after outside play today! lol
Love ya'll,
xxxxx

afternoon ladies
hope you are all well :)
i was planning on coming on and doin persies but it seems cooper had other ideas when he decided to projectile vomit over the both of us. so ive cleaned him but now need to clean myself. hes slowly going to sleep now, thank god, and i might do the same as he was up every 2 hours last night and DP didnt want to help settle him :wall:
so ill be back later no doubt
love love

Hey guys.
Sorry I haven't been in much the last few days. Not doing so great.
With Summer not being settled I'm holding her & rocking for hours on end. Its doing my back in, my house is a pig sty & DS is demanding attention to the point that I can't stand being touched any more. He climbs up & tries to sit on me while I'm feeding & won't get off, so I can't move.
He's blocked up one of our toilets. Just being a PITA really.
Last night Summer slept from 10.15 - 2.45, which would've been great, coz I went straight to bed, but DS didn't sleep til almost 11 & woke up twice before she did. She was then awake til 4.30am, slept til 6, then awake til I had to get up & get the girls ready for school.
So I'm kinda a walking zombie at my wits end today.
Got an appointment with my gp for Friday to discuss this reflux, as its getting worse. Been showering with her before bed to settle her & it seems to be working well so far. Wish we could sit in the shower all day!
Vix - I think they've brought the 8 week needles back to 6 weeks now. Mainly coz of the whooping cough out breaks. Its only a recent thing, but I'm pretty sure its australia wide.
I was going to say more to you guys, but I can't think straight at the moment.
Will get back in sometime soon... if I survive another day!
-
sorry guys I never got back on to do any personals.
me and Vinny have absolutely no plans today. atm he is snuggled up in my nurture sling. wonderful idea because my hands are free to type.
yesterday we went for a 2 hour drive for photos and the lil bugger slept all the way there and all the way back but only for about 10-15 minutes the entire 3 hours we were there. he couldn't stand being and poked and prodded and undressed LOL. nah I think he just had bad wind, his worst day yet and he had to be in the middle of a photo shoot. LOL :P oh well, these things happen. We still got some beautiful pictures!! :D i've got one up as my profile on facebook now :)
-
i should be alot more tired than i am. i think my adrenaline has kicked in. Cooper fell asleep at 9pm then woke up at 11pm and went straight back to sleep, he only wanted a cuddle, then woke up at 1am, 2am and 4am, then didnt sleep til after 6am (during which time he spewed all over me and my side of the bed, so i was at my wits ends nd burst into tears so DP took him, finally, and let me have a shower and i stayed in ther for like 20 mins) then woke up at 8.30am and is asleep again now. GAHH!! :( ive got the heater cranked in the loungeroom to take the chill off which usually makes cooper sleep a lil longer coz hes nice and warm :) :crossfingers: thats the case coz as soon as my washing is finished and hung out im hoping for a nap myself.
:crossfingers::crossfingers::crossfingers:
sorry for my whinge, just havin a crappy day.
xx
-
Hello all,
Dropping in quickly but am so tired i dont think i will last long on here haha My boobs have become engorged again because Ben was feeding every 2 hours 2 days ago and then yesterday decided to stretch it out to every 3 - 4 hours. He fed off one side last night and was so full he had overflow so I had to get out the breast pump and still managed to get another 80ml in 5 minutes but decided to stop then as I was too tired and bed was calling haha
Just picked up a photo book I had printed at Harvey Norman for my mum and dads 30th wedding anniversary on Saturday. OMG it looks amazing. Think I will do one for Ben instead of the normal albums! Cant believe my parents have been married for 30 years - they are only 48!!! :o
hugs raffy for your crappy day! Hope you start to feel better.
Hi everyone else. Got to love you and leave you all ... the washing machine is crying out to be emptied!
-
Clover - thanks for that! You also reminded me to book the appointment. Was going to do it when I posted last but darn annpy brain took over! lol Okay, logging off to ring GP now.
Can the CHN come out earlier for you or do you have access to home visits by a GP? Hope you an get something sorted out. If I could help you I would hun, I know what it feels like to just feel stuck! Hang in there.

Hello Mummies!
Group Question - Does anyone know whether certain foods that you eat might be affecting a baby's bowels (through breast milk)? Any tips on foods to avoid / have more of?
Nikki - Congrats to your parents on their 30th wedding anniversary! :confetti: My parents have been married for 30 years too! ;) Yay on Ben feeding well though! :D
Vix - Hope you're having a lovely day with Alannah today with the boys at pre-school. ;)
Raffy -'s for having a crappy day. Hope it gets better and you get some well deserved rest and sleep!
Beckles - I'm having the same issues with Noah and his bowels (GP said it was constipation, CHN said no can't be and that BF babies don't usually get constipated). Hopefully you get some advice and that Maddi and Noah's bowels sort themselves out. It's very frustrating when they seem to be suffering with sore tummies.
Brydz - Sooooo glad that everything is going so well with J and his family. Hope you and Vinny enjoyed your day at home with no plans today.
Clover - HUGE 's to you, hopefully you get some answers from your GP.
AFM, got Noah weighed again this morning and he only picked up 100g in the past week - felt a bit worried, but CHN said that it could be because of the reflux, although to try to feed him more often again during the day (like every 3 hours). I just don't want to have to wake him too often because sometimes he feeds, then stays awake for say another hour and a half and by the time he has been asleep for about half an hour then it's time for the 3 hour feed again and then he gets really unsettled and cranky. Will see how it goes, although he has been much better the last 2 days and seems to be feeding a bit better. His HC is now 39cm and he is now 59cm tall!! Holy moly, my little boy is growing QUICK!! lol He did another BIG poo yesterday, but nothing again since then. CHN said that if I fed him more he should be doing poos everyday, although it can be normal for him to not go for a few days. If he doesn't poo again for 3 days I might see my usual GP (as I saw a different GP last Sunday, who said Noah was constipated) and see what he says (or ring the Pediatrician) as CHN said that BF babies BF exclusively doesn't / shouldn't get constipated. Got some raisins/sultanas today and going to give them a go along with my yogurt Vix, so hopefully that helps get things going for him. lol I felt great this morning. Noah slept from 6:00pm last night until 2:00am and I slept from 7:00pm until 2:00am (7 hours!!!) and again from 3:15am until 6:00am (2 hours 45 mins). I haven't slept that well since probably 32 weeks of pregnancy! lol The little man was awake from 6:00am until just after 1pm today, he was cranky and overtired, but went down finally and I should have gone to join him but have had so much to do that I'm still awake. Better go and join him before his next feed! lol
Sorry for the long post but at least everyone is updated now....
Have a great arvo!
Sending you all along with your babies sleepy dust!

HI everyone.
Pretz - we have had a lovely lazy day. Vinny has fed 3 hourly and slept in between. He didn't dirty any nappies during the night, or all day until his nappy at 4pm and trust me he made up for the non dirty ones with an absolutely doozie!! yuk LOL.
Ur group question about breast milk and foods, so far the only thing i've had that seems to have done any damage was some dim sims (cabbage).
Sounds like Noah is growing well and is very happy. You are doing a great job well done.
Nikki - wow congrats to your folks that is wonderful 30 years and at their age.! sounds like true love!!
Raffy - sorry to hear your day has been crappy. Hope that Coop is being a good boy for you now and you can get some rest.
afm: had a bit of a sooky today because I realized the gravity of how many bills I have and not sure yet how soon I'll be able to get cenrelink payments. and then a 'friend' made it worse by having a big ***** about me on my status comments. my other friends stuck up for me and made me feel a little better. but who needs childish stuff like that in their lives. I left high school 5 years ago!!
gotta go, my lil munchkin is crying out from the bedroom. he needs a burp i think.
-
Pretz - Poor little Noah being constipated. I havn't had any experience with it at this age, Summer had it when she was on solids at about 6 months and the CHN said some cooled boiled water in a bottle. Might be worth a try if he will take it? Good job on the growth, he certainly is flourishing!!
Brydz - Hope your doing ok. I read you status on FB, that girl thats having a dig at you sounds like a downright cow. If it makes you feel any better, weve got it tough too at the moment. I have shire rates, water rates, contents insurance, car rego and 2 electricity bills all amounting to about 2k and cant see the light at the end of the tunnel at the moment. Not helping with interest rates going up :wall: Glad to see you have had a lovely lazy day. Some days they are just called for!!!
AFM - I need Ben to wake up now. My boob is killing me. Too full, too full, TOO FULL!! Do you girls feed both sides at every feed? This one sided alternative feeding is making me very lopsided! Forgot to wear breastpads the other night and woke up at 1am with a soaked Tshirt hahaha
It is so hot here today. About 33 and Im not used to it. Might go have a shower actually. Feel dirty haha all sweaty and breastmilky :p
-
brydz - chin up hun
nikki - im very lopsided to lol coop very rarely feeds of both sides.
afm - cooper is makin me cry. poor lil dude is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo unsettled, then he did a huge burp and just cuddled for a bit. hope he sleeps soon hes only slept for prob bout an hour all up today which could factor in with the reason why he wont settle. so my crappy day didnt get better :wall:
-
Raffy - aww I hope Coop is better now and you are having a good day today *hugs*
Nikki - thanks hun. she is a cow! i went to school with her and we never really were very close but since we were due like 12 days apart we got chatting a lot. at the start she was really rude about my situation with J but then we got quite chummy talking bout pregnancy etc. and since Vinny has been born she has tried to compare him to her little girl all the time, or basically tells me what i'm doing is wrong (in a round about way). she had a huge whinge because vinny lost weight in hospital. claimed i wasn't feeding him right. hence why i'm happy to share my new status about his awesome weight gain :) not that she can see it anyway, i unfriended her. don't need those kind of idiots in my life.
As for the bills, I currently have phone which arrived today, water, council rates, car loan, home loan, home/contents/car insurance and due to get gas/electricity any day and then my NEXT water bill before the end of the month too.
the girl who was having a go at me rents, she has a partner who works and apparently makes so much money she isn't entitled to parenting payments.. and she thinks she has more bills than me.. I'd like to know how?
afm- first visit from the health nurse. she was lovely. she was very impressed with how strong he is, and his head control etc. and his weight gain (230g since last thursday). he is now 8lb 9 which is 4oz more than his birth weight and he isn't 2 weeks yet. i'm pretty happy with that! :)
he is asleep now. I have to ring centrelink to apply for parenting payment. HOW STUPID is it that the form at the hospital only covers the baby bonus.. and then u have to apply for tax benefits online, and then u have to ring a different department to apply for the parenting payment. thats ridiculous. it should be all on one form, or all online.
and then I have to ring child support to make a 'claim' so that i'm eligible for maximum tax benefits even though i can't actually get anything from J cos he has no income.
and then I have to ring J and tell him if he wants to see Vinny in the next week he'll have to come over here because I have no petrol. LOL. and find out what is happening with the dna test, mum paid his mum my half of the price yesterday. just need to know when the appointment will be to do the test.

morning ladies
Brydz - im glad u unfriended her from ur fb, you seriously dont need negative ppl in ur life. everything your doing is right and u have a happy healthy baby boy, dont let anyone tell you otherwise :) god i hate bills so much, we r due to get all ours soon to so i feel for ya.
AFM - cooper woke every 2 hours last nite but it didn bother me coz he'd wake and go straight back to sleep. plus we had a huge thunder storm so i wasnt sleepin much anyways and DP woke up at 7am and took coop for a shower then i gave him a big feed at DP took him down stairs for like 3 hours til he got hungry again so i got a nice solid 3 hour sleep this morning. weve had soooooo much rain, the park just up the road is under water its crazy. the only thing that has annoyed me this morning is that DP let the dog off his chain and he pulled half the washing off the line :wall: its so frustrating coz he knows when hes doing something wrong! the second i walked out ther he scurried off and hid in his kennel. plus hes now a fully grown male staffy and i recon he weighs about 25-30kg! so imagine that when hes pullin away from you lol. it took all my strength to pull him out of the kennel far enough to clip the chain back on. grrr hes just turned 1 so hes still very young!! cant wait til he grows up and becomes mature enough to not pull off the washing and dig holes  anyways coop is prob in a deep enough sleep now for me to attemp to put him down so a can hang the washing out for the second time lol

Raffy - thanks. yeh she is not worth wasting time worrying about. glad to have her gone from my facebook :)
AFM: happy happy happy now! centrelink totally made my day. I rang them to apply for parenting payment and she informed me that I'll get $470 backpay baby bonus and tax benefit on MONDAY, followed by my usual newstart payment (while parenting payment claim is being processed) which has gone up by another $40 since I now have a dependent child on TUESDAY, and then another $296 on WEDNESDAY for my first regular tax benefit payment. :)
woohoo. did not expect it to happen so quickly!!
now I have no stress over money!! I can afford to do EVERYTHING I wanted to do, pay my bills, not have to cancel my layby, return to my house now that I can afford some food. I can finally afford to sign up for roadside assistance, which i worry about every time I drive to bendigo because it would suck not having it and breaking down.. and I can finally get my car serviced (its 3000km overdue and badly needs a wheel alignment). and I can afford to get the twinkletoes plaster cast thing done now too :)
its like an early xmas present. I seriously thought it would be like a month before they paid me anything!!
-
Brydz - She sounds like a silly woman and I am glad that you have unfriended her and agree with raffy in regards to you being a fantastic mum - just look at Vinny. He is content and putting on weight and gorgeous. What makes her an expert anyway on babies and children when hers is only a few days older than yours. Wait until their 18 and then offer advice!!! Sheesh. Way to go on the payments!! Bet that is a breath of fresh air. Glad to hear things are working out for you
raffy - Good on you for having a sleep in today and well done to your DP for looking after Cooper for you. I hope your dog starts behaving soon - theres nothing worse than having something distracting you away from your bub and making you cross!!
AFM - Its my Wedding Anniversary today. 4 years ... and Clover's too!! So Happy Wedding Anniverary to you too!! Im having a shocker of a day. So stressed over freaking money. DH earnt $150k last year, so we built this house on the basis of being able to comfortably afford it. Well the last 2 months pay for real estate has been a shocker and we are having to scrimp every last bloody cent and I am so over it. I have about 4 overdue bills and no way to pay them until some stinking houses start settling. The credit card is maxed out because we have been trying to get the house finished ... or even the backyard done and I just dont know what to do :wall: We probably wont even be eligible for the Baby Bonus even though DH has only earnt $4k for the last 2 months which covers our mortgage and thats it!!! Time are tough ... Enough of my whinging. Hope some of you are having a good day at least!!
Oh I got Bens stats done by the CHN today ... Weight up by 1.3kg to 5.41kg, Length up 7.5cm to 58.5cm and HC up by 3.5cm to 40cm. He is on the 97th percentile on those stupid graphs. I knew he was big but sheesh ...
-
Thanks Nikki, you too :) Yep 4 years for us today too :) 6 years on top of that together though, lol.
Brydz, I do feel a bit rude, like its none of my business, but about your status on fb. You shouldn't be getting newstart at all. You should be getting parenting payment single instead, which is a pension, so you will get pension discounts, including free car rego every year. Also, a pension card rather than HCC. Then you'd be getting FTB A & FTB B on top of that. You won't have to be on newstart, or looking for work of any kind til Vinny (or your youngest if you have more before then) turns 6.
You can have PPS & FTB paid seperately, so you get one every week, or together, so you get both a fortnight. PPS is about $620 a fn.
Again, hope you don't mind :)
ETA - Sorry Brydz, just re read your post...You know about PP. Scuse the brain... or lack of!

Hello lovelies!
Just a very quick one from me......I'm exhausted mentally, physically and emotionally today and have a stinking cold :cold: and don't know where it came from!! Feeling really crappy and haven't slept since my nap at 8:30am til 9:45am this morning....
Noah was very unsettled again today waking nearly every hour and only sleeping for about 30 mins at a time. He is sooooo gassy (he hasn't had a poo again for 2 days so thinking that is what it might be). Phoned the CHN to check and she said not to worry too much about it. Told me to massage his tummy and just keep burping him after feeds. He fed pretty well today thankfully so that was a good thing. Had me in tears a few times though when he woke screaming from the gassy pains (I assume that's what it was as you could hear the wind he passed). :crying:
He just went down and I'm about to head off too, but gotta just do some internet banking for DH and pay some bills and then zzzzzz time for a few hours hopefully!!
Nikki - HUGE, BIG 's to you honey! DH and I are starting to stress about money too as we have also had some big bills the last few weeks which is paid now thankfully, but we're worried about December as we have my car insurance, his truck insurance, contents insurance, power bill, water bill and who knows what else, not to mention Christmas coming up and I'm getting my last pay from work on 1 December (I was lucky to get 14 weeks full pay maternity leave). DH will then have to cover everything I used to cover like bills and food etc and with a house and truck mortgage, it is very stressful, especially when I won't be at work and Centrelink probably won't give us much either because we own a house and a truck etc. Hope that you are able to claim something from Centrelink and get the baby bonus somehow! Oh and happy anniversary to you and your DH for today! :confetti:
Brydz - I too am sorry to hear about that girl giving you troubles, but good on ya for deleting her from your FB and realising she's not worth your time! ;) Glad to hear you were able to sort out all your Centrelink money. Thanks for your sweet and kind words the other day. I try my best to be the best Mummy I can be to Noah, yet sometimes I worry and get overwhelmed when I don't know how to help him or what to do for him when he is unsettled.
Raffy - HUGE, BIG 's to you too for your bad day and that Coop was unsettled. Hope that it gets better for you and that he gives you a good night tonight! Glad that DP was able to look after Coop for you for a while to give ya a break.
Clover - Happy anniversary to you and your DH today as well! Hope you have a good night! :confetti:
Vix, Beckles, Sparkles and everyone else - hello!
So much for a quicky post....been here for longer than I thought I'd be, but at least was able to do some persies...
Time for me to get my snotty nose, sore throat and run-down body to bed......
Nighty night!!
xoxo

Pretz - thats okay. sometimes its just nice to have someone reinforce that you are doing a good job. I know what its like to feel like sometimes you aren't doing everything because bub is unsettled and there isn't much you can do to help. Vinny and I had an episode like that during the night. He was up and fed at 130, and usually after a bum change and a burp goes straight back to bed, but we didn't go back to sleep til more like 330 because he had terrible wind. I felt awful because I couldn't make it go away. Eventually he passed a lot of it and 2 more minutes at the boob put him to sleep (works wonders sometimes!).
Clover- LOL. thats okay. I am only on newstart until the other payments come through. I have an appointment monday to finish making my PP claim (it's bloody stupid, had to do it over the phone but still have to take in paperwork, e.g. 100 points ID, bank statement and my work separation certificate.. ALL OF WHICH I took in when I applied for the newstart back in like august. Why can't they just keep records of these things? GRR!).
Free car rego and a pension card? wow! didn't know about that...
Nikki - hope you had a lovely wedding anniversary (and clover too!!) Sorry that I'm bragging about my happy finances and you are struggling :( I do know what its like, I almost had a melt down about my bills until I got this all sorted. Mortgages suck, and banks suck putting up interest rates. I have had my mortgage 12 months this december and I reckon it has gone up about 6 times already. It's ridiculous!
That's great Ben is doing so well! He is beautiful.

morning loverlies
in a good mood this morning. Cooper slept from 9.30-4 :o then 4.30-6 then 6.15-8. the first 6.5 hours was freakin glorious!! makes soooo much difference when he sleeps for longer than 2 hours! plus when he went down at 4.30 i managed to get him to sleep in his bassinette  though the 6.15-8 he slept in our bed but oh well he did so well im so proud of him :) plus DP should finish work early and be home by 3.30 today and then its the weekend and hes allll mine for 2 days :dance::dance: not even coop havin a spack this morning could ruin my mood, however we had a shower and he loved it so that fixed his mood quick smart!! cant believe the complete 180 hes done when it comes to having baths/showers now!! he smiles and kicks his legs in the bath. i love it!! i love him :loveshower:

Hi all
just a quick one...again.
gp & chn today. definetely reflux. gp weighed her & thought she hadn't put on weight in 10 days since last weigh. he wasn't worried, but i was! went to chn after who did a bare weigh & she's put in 400 grams since first home weigh in at a few days (about 3 weeks ago). the difference between dressed & bare!! Should be a little more, but nothing to worry about at all.
got alot of emotional crap out at the chn too & chatted about the bfing issues. feeling 100% better, but still dead tired! 4 hours sleep last night!
best go get some... night night x
-
Hoping you managed some sleep last night Clover. You might have seen on FB I asked if you have a Tresillian or Karitane nearby? Is there anyone that can take the older kids for a day or even 1/2 day so you can get some shut eye???? Sleep dep is 100% torture! You are in my thoughts and prayers. xxxxx
