Pretz - Awww hunni im so sorry your feeling this way. i here those sleep clinics are a god send. i really hope it works for you and Noah and you both get more sleep. im the same at the moment, though cooper is a champion sleeper and always sleeps from 8.30ish pm to 7-7.30 am, im the one that cant sleep. the earliest ive been going to sleep lately is about 1am. i think it could have something to do with DF being on night shift and i find i cant sleep if hes not there but i no hes coming home KWIM? but mum said she'd take Cooper so i can sleep but when i lay down.. nothing.. i tend to just lay and watch tv for an hour but not manage to get any sleep what so ever. overtiredness sucks. how is the controlled crying going? i also find it so hard not to give in and it breaks my heart but its only taking him 10 or so minutes now to fall asleep after just 2 days as apposed to the usualy 1.5 - 2 hours it took before, HUGE difference. Cooper is the same as Noah and Ben, hes liking the solids but wont have a bar of the farex hahah dont stress about your house, mine sounds like its the same and i have mum to help if i need her lol. i asked her to take cooper in the morning tomoro so DF and i can just get it over and done with without having to stop and start to tend to cooper. your doing a bloody fantastic job and a little bit of mess wont matter to anyone

AFM - left cooper at mums last night coz he fell asleep there lol so it was nice to have a sleep in with DF coz hes not working today. we took the dogs to the beach and went in the water ourselves. usually Cooper doesnt like cold water, the coldest hes liked before was a heated pool but today he loved it, he was kicking and splashing it was very cute and the dogs had a blast to. little man is buggered and fell asleep in the 1 minute it took to drive home hahah (yes we could have walked but with 3 dogs and a pram it was just easier to take 2 cars lol) so now hes asleep on the loungeroom floor, when he wakes i think the 3 of us might have a nice big bath. cant wait. hope everyone is well xoxo

Brydz - I agree with you - absolutely hate the humid weather. In fact, I am over the hot weather all together. Want some coldness back and then maybe Ben will sleep better Oh, I have seen you have been RAK'ed!! Congrats!!

Raffy - Sounds like you had an awesome time at the beach with the dogs and your boys. Im jealous. It only takes us about 8 minutes to drive to the beach but its all the crap you have to lug around with you. Just not worth it at the moment haha LOL at the boys hating Farex - I have heard (you might be interested in this too Pretz) that babies who dont like Farex will often like the Heinz Organic one ... apparently its smoother and actually tastes nice. Farex tends to just be blobby like glue and really grainy. I can understand why they dont like it. Im going to buy some today and see how they go, my ECHN said its important becuase its got so much iron in it ... tell that to the baby who sprays it around the room as soon as it touches his lips!!!

Pretz - Oh love, big, HUGE hugs for you it really does suck doesnt it. Ben was the same about a week ago, and I am still trying to catch up on the sleep. He still wakes for a feed at 9.30pm, 1am, 5am and then up at 7.30am. It really is like having a newborn still. I really do sympathise with you. Getting up every hour is just ridiculous. Does Noah have a dummy? It might be too late to introduce one now, but might be worth a shot?

AFM - Got to go grocery shopping you all know how much i hate that ... haha

Went to my cousins 21st party last night. I am stuffed now. Didnt get to bed till midnight and then the ratbag woke up at 6am with a big poo in his nappy and all over the sheets, plus woke up for a feed between midnight and 6, so I am knackered. I reckon this is the 5th night of continuously broken sleep but also only getting about 5 hours max. If I have another baby ... it had better not be a boy!! They are too hungry all the flipping time ......

HI girls, massive catch up so pls excuse me if I comment on something that happened dayssssssss ago!

Raffy – thanks for the comp on my avvy. It was actually a picture on my baby shower invites and I just love it so much!.....you’ll find for the first couple of months your AF will be all over the place. I am still waiting on mine for this month. I’m about a week overdue if you work on my 28-30 cycle…..okay, just read your next post about the smell etc !..great news about your trip away.

Clover – how is Summer now? I hope she is well and truly better or nearly…WTG Summer for rolling!!!!!!!

Pretz - she has not rolled back over since! Not to worry as when she has tummy time she is beginning to pivet around on her belly a bit. I phoned Heinz and asked them to send out some info – still waiting though! Grrrr. Glad your Op went okay, I cannot remember if I replied to your text message!.....poor DH having to keep waiting!..OMG you are planning #2!!!!! I just got shivers down my spine from excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!.....as for your Group Question – sadly no more babies for me. Makes me feel sad but I really don’t think I could cope mentally or emotionally and besides I think I would have been advised not to have anymore as my uterus was paper thin and had started to split when they pulled Alannahrama out. Apart from that….I had my tubes clamped! *giggles*…yep, Ericas visit was awesome. Lachlan is totally gorgeous. It was after 1pm when they left and I felt so bad I didn’t offer her lunch. I just didn’t think about it. *blushes*…wish I could help you out with Noah, I really mean that as I know how bad sleep dep can be.

Sparkles – good to hear from you and so pleased Master Tynan is off his reflux meds. He sounds like he is doing very well.

Nikki – I am sorry to hear of your Grandmother, I commented on FB when I read it but just wanted to pass my condolences on again. *hugs*

Meela – welcome to our little group! Welcome also to Zoe. Love her name!....I am Mum to Alannah (was due in Oct but decided Sept 19 would be a nice day), Noah (2008) and Bailey (2006).

Well, i had best go. Not sure what is up with Alannah today. She slept for a an hr this morning and then only 20 mins at lunch time......see my whinge on FB! lol Takes ages to get her to sleep and then she only sleeps for an hour max! Well, obviously less at the lunch today. She wont go to her cot this arvo and so I have her in her swing and after 20 mins I an see she is finally drifting off...if only her brothers would stop stomping and banging around the place! Grrrrr

Saw my GP the other week and she did an anxiety test on me - similiar to the pnd test I guess. She has referred me to go and see my counsellor from community health. I dont know when that is going to happen though! I had pretty bad heart palpitations this week and was very anxious about everything. The boys are driving me nots today. I have yelled and bellowed at them all day and seriously, if it was EASY and SIMPLE to do so, I would just walk out some days. The washing is not getting done, I made DH help me tidy up yesterday morning before Erica came, etc etc etc and he goes FISHING AGAIN tomorrow! MIL stepped WAAAAAAY out of line this week. CHN made me feel like I was doing wrong by Alannah with mixed feeding and solids so now I have stopped even thinking about solids. A close friend of mine has been prescribed meds for her anxiety and she is the closest person I have in my lofe so now I feel like I cannot even talk to her if I need a vent as she has her own crap to deal with, need to organise a Baptism but I know how much of a PITA my ex-step-Mother is going to be whether she is or isn't invited, need to get my licence...gotta go, DH is home!

    hey girls.

vinny has slept through 4 nights in a row now. but I haven't been sleeping great because of the weather and things on my mind.
(i keep thinking about J... and it is doing my head in).
It really didn't help that he answered the door topless yesterday and I got a decent look
trying to rid these annoying thoughts from my head but not at all succeeding.

sorry can't be bothered with personals i'm in a real funny mood.

    love to you all xo

    Morning Mummies!

Raffy - Thanks honey. I really hope the Sleep Group thing on Tuesday proves to be of some help and that I can help Noah sleep a bit better as I don't know what to do anymore. It's just frustrating and harder when you're sleep deprived. You're so lucky that Coop is such a champion sleeper. Perhaps he should come visit and teach Noah all about sleeping! lol The controlled crying isn't going as well as I had thought or hoped, I still have to go in there after about 5 mins and calm him down and then when I walk away he starts crying again. He eventually settles, but not very easily though. Sorry to hear he was sick last night. Is he better now?

Nikki - Yes, it really is like having a newborn, although come to think of it, Noah slept more as a newborn than he does now! lol I'm sorry that you too are sleep deprived and not sleeping well due to Ben feeding so often during the night. These boys sure have appetites and a lot in common! lol I too hope my next baby is a girl....as it seems girls don't feed AS often as these boys! lol Noah does have a dummy, in fact, he has a few, but hardly wants to take it. You can put it in his mouth and he'll spit it out, so I've tried, but no luck. Thanks for the tip about the Heinz organic rice cereal, will definitely look out for it when I go do my shopping again.

Vix - Lovely to hear from you!! I have been really ouchy since yesterday arvo but I did a lot of walking/doing a lot of stuff yesterday so perhaps that is why. Feeling a tad better this morning, but planning to take it easier today as I want it to heal so poor DH doesn't have to wait any longer than he has already been and still has to be waiting! lol Yes, I too am very, very excited about TTC#2 I'm so glad that you ended up meeting Erica and that you girls had a great time. She is such a lovely and amazing person! I wish we all lived closer to each other so we could have our very own Mummies group and meet up in person to catch up, wouldn't that just have been so much fun!? hehe I'm sorry to hear about the anxiety and stress and everything you have been going through. If you ever need to talk/vent, please phone me for a chat, you have my number and you're more than welcome to phone me anytime, 24/7!!

Brydz - RAK stands for Random Act of Kindness and when you have been RAK'd it means someone has anonymously given you a membership for free for one year. So happy to hear that Vinny slept through for the 4th night in a row! Yay! Hope he keeps it up!! Are you giving him anymore formula feeds now? Do you think that is making a difference because if it does, then I might try it too....lol Sorry to hear about you not being able to sleep well and about having lots of stuff on your mind. Hope you feel better soon!

AFM, have had a pretty good weekend so far. Had friends over for dinner last night and thankfully was able to actually cook a proper meal (thanks to DH looking after Noah) lol. Noah slept really well and so did I (even though I only got to bed at 11pm). Noah went to sleep at 8:15pm and woke at 00:20am (his new first meal time for the night) and again at 4:30am, but thankfully fell asleep within 20 mins of waking and so I got to sleep too. He also slept in this morning and so did DH and I, I think I got a total of 7 hour sleep and it sure makes a HUGE difference! lol Noah is down for his nap now (hence why I'm able to post and be on the PC for a bit) and then I'm off to make some lunch. I still have to write DH's card too and wrap his present as it's his birthday tomorrow so might do that soon too while Noah is asleep.

Hope you all have a lovely arvo!

    Love to you all!

Brydz - to add to what pretz said you can now go and get a lovely avatar if you want one. the link is https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...avatar+request... theres people in there that can make one for you or they can point you in the right direction to making your own. hope you feel better soon. i hate those days where your just in a funny mood. glad to hear V slept well for you hun, prob knew mummy needed it

Pretz - sorry your having an ouchy day. nice work on Noahs sleeping thats fabulous. hope you enjoyed your dinner with friends. for your DH for tomoro. hope you guys have an awesome day,

AFM - DF went out last night to celebrate with our friends coz my bestie got a well deserved promotion. i was all set to go and then cooper got a really bad tummy ache and was super duper upset. i couldnt bear the thought of leaving him even if all he was gonna do was sleep. i wouldnt have been able to enjoy myself. he ended up stirring at about 9pm but only needed a bum pat and was asleep again and then woke up at 5.30 this morning as apposed to the usual 7.30 but DF got him and apparently he had a bottle slept for 5 mins, had another bottle and slept for 2 hours then woke and had another bottle. and hes had 2 more since. someone is very hungry today lol. ok TMI warning. who in here has had a UTI?? im so itchy down there and it sorta burns, i feel like i just need to pee all the time but only a few drops comes out and it burns. is this a UTI? if not does anyone no what it could be? if it is what do i do? its driving me mental. soooo uncomfortable. ahhh anyhooo im starving. might go make lunch while coops is asleep. got friends coming over for dinner tonight so that will be nice love ya'll

Raffy - I have had a lot of UTI's and even had a few in my pregnancy early on. I'm prone to getting them quite regularly and what you seem to be describing definitely sounds like one to me. The frequent urge to pee all the time and the burning are the classic symptoms that I always get, along with a sharp stabbing kind of pain when I start to wee (which is also usually just a few drops). I would recommend that you get a urine test done at the doctors (try to get in tomorrow if you're able to) as antibiotics are the only thing that will help it go away, if left untreated it can become nasty and even turn into a kidney infection (happened to me once). As for the itching, could be thrush?? I haven't had any itching with my UTI's..... Huge 's honey!! Hope you feel better soon!

PS: Wow, sounds like Coops is definitely a hungry little man today. I gave Noah a bottle this morning at 11am and he fell asleep at 11:20am and is still asleep (it's now 1:40pm). Yay! He obviously needed the sleep and no doubt will also be a very hungry and straving little man when he wakes! lol

Raffy, You're welcome honey! I'm glad that you'll get yourself checked out by the GP regardless of whether AF goes away or not and I truly, deeply and sincerely hope AF goes away for you real soon (I used to have a period/bleeding that lasted 62 days due to my endo and it drove me INSANE!!!) and if you do end up getting your pap smear good luck, I hate them! I'm thankfully not due for my pap smear until September this year so I've got a bit to go thankfully! Probably just as well and just in time before TTC baby #2! lol

Yes, I'm very happy Noah is going so well with his sleeping today. I hope this is a sign that tonight will be a good night too!

Alrighty then, I'm off to have a nice cuppa tea and just relax a little - I should have gone to get some sleep, but I did dishes, had a nice chat and lunch with DH and just checked a few things online which is lovely for a change.

    xoxo

    thanks girls!

pretz -no I haven't done anything differently to normal. he is still having the same 4 x formula feeds a day and boob in between. though i might add 2 of the nights he's been awake for ages prior to going down for the night and extra tired.

raffy -okay I'm totally confused about the avatar thing. never mind I can do without one. definitely sounds like a UTI, never had one myself but that is what it sounds like ouch. hope you can get something to clear it up.

afm vinny tried pureed apple for breakfast. little piggy finished an entire jar (he loved it!) although I may have had a few mouthfuls..
he is asleep in the swing now. I finally got around to buying new batteries!

yesterday I got a jolly jumper musical mat. he doesn't know what to do with it. made him cry LOL. he would just not jump before when I had him on it..

my brother and his ex just took some stuff out of the back room. yay. slowly they are getting rid of things. will be nice when I can have the whole room back again. they also changed the globe in the lounge so now I have light again (i could not reach anywhere near it)

AFM - cooper is asleep but keeps crying, like a really sad cry, but hes asleep. hes done it occasionally for a few months now, but today hes doing it every 5 - 10 mins? does anyone no what it could be? is it a bad dream or is he in pain or he semi wakes and doesnt no where he is? im so confused and my heart breaks for him. it is the saddest cry

    Hi ladies,

Just a quickie, on the run to get tea ready.

Raffy - I'd say the sad cry is probably dreaming. Almost like a whimper. Ben does it occasionally too. I wouldnt worry about it, if he is pain he would wake up and cry quite loudly i would imagine. A pain cry is usually quite distinguished IYKWIM.

Pretz - I looked at the rice cereal and the Heinz one is for babies 6+ months plus, but I gave ben the Raffertys Garden Organic one and OMG he scoffed it down. It actually tastes nice. Just like rice. HEAPS better than Farex, Im not going near that crap again after discovering this one!!

Oh and YUCK! to pap smears whoever said they have to get one! I just had mine and thankfully dont have to go back for another 2 years now. No doubt those 2 years will go round in a flash!

    BBL for more persies!

    Morning all,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Well, i think the 4 month change has hit Ty, he has gone from sleeping all night from 8 weeks old, to now waking between 3-5am, doesn't necessarily want a feed, just is grumbling, i will go in and remove his legs from the side of tcot (or something similar) tuck him back in then it starts again, who would know, i re tucked him in at 3am this morning, fine till 5am, then fed him, and he slept till 7.30. I don't know, i am thinking maybe he is getting cold! Oh well, not stressed about it and definately not complaining, and i know alot of people say that bubs sleeping habits can change around 4 months!!
Goota go, will come back and finish this post later

Hi guys. Haven't been online for pretty much the past week, so am way behind on whats going on.

Went to Sydney last week for DH's pop's funeral, then helped with the cleaning of his unit to get it ready to go on the market. Hated the drive down there! We came off the freeway & onto the motorway/highway right on 3pm, through school zone after school zone & had to get right down to Sutherland! 2 hours to get 40 kms away... unbelievable! Us country bumpkins just can't get our heads around it!! Stress!

Anyway, catch up... Summer has started saying yayaya & dada. Very cute (& way too early for my liking! )
She's over her flu & back to waking once in the early mornings again. Usually about 6am, but last night it was 3.
No solids here yet. She's fascinated every time we eat & watches us intently, but I'm waiting a bit longer. When she can sit in a high chair & feed herself I think. We give her the odd taste of something on our finger, but thats it.

I've put her in cool water a few times, but she's never been too keen on it. Yesterday we all jumped in the kids pool at mum & dad's & she had a ball! Couldn't get enough.

Anyway, I have a house full of unpacking etc to do & DS thinks he has a broken booby, so I'm off

    Later

Clover - great to hear from you. Glad Summers feeling better too! How did you get the FB thingy????

Pretz - All the best for tomorrow at sleep school.

Raffy - I would not worry about Cooper crying in his sleep. He cant talk so instead of talking in his sleep, he cries! Make sense? Alannah sometimes does it too which makes me sit bolt upright in bed like a zombie and then I lay back down again and crash! lol

BBL, boys are feral this morning!
