Hey Blackrose - no worries at all. I am trying to keep my little brood healthy before we go away next week! Get better soon.
Pretz - I had a fibroid picked up during an ultrasound with Alannah - completly forgot about it. I think it was for my 12 week scan it was detected and they said it was a 'see what happens' kinda thing. Well, it must have gone away by itself because as I said, I had forgotten about it.
Ouchie, your cyst sounds horrible. That is a darn good size too. Keep me popsted love.
I know, I know. Have had a few people ask me to come back to fb. I even had a friend call this morning saying I had set a good example and she too had been absent more from her fb! I do miss it but not sure where I found the time before. Yikes!!!
No more babies here at all hun. Remember my uterus tore with Alannah....have a feeling thats what sent me into early labour with her. Having another baby would be putting my health and a bubies life at risk. I considered risking it though......I also considered looking into adoptions........I know if all was okay, I would be ttc. I just have 'that feeling' going round and round in my body. Argh!!!!!!!!
nite nite

Awww thanks Vix, that sure makes me feel better about it! My Mum also told me not to stress said that if the fibroid is that small there's a good chance it'll just go away on it's own. It's the large one's that keep growing and growing and cause the problems. Yeah the cyst is big for 3.1cm x 2.7cm, but to me that's not too big. Usually everytime I've had a cyst they've been larger and mostly around the 4.0cm x 4.5cm size and then they rupture (ouch :crying:). The largest cyst I ever had measured 7.7cm x 8.1cm which I had removed in 2005. The OB/Gyn I saw back then said that if it had grown any larger and ruptured it may have damaged my ovary so glad I had it removed before that happened.. :) Second largest one I had was a hemorrhagic cyst which was 6.6cm x 5.9cm! Will definitely keep you updated!
That's right, I forgot that your uterus tore, soooooooooooo soooooooo sooooooo sorry honey!!! HUGE HUGE HUGE 's BUT if you really want another bub/child then there are other options like you said adoption... :)
Whereabouts are you going on your trip next week? Hope you have some nice weather and that it's not too cold! Hope you have a blast!!
Speaking of trips - I only just told the girls in the FB group as I kept forgetting but my Mum and I have been looking at plane tickets as they realllllllly want me and Noah to go visit them. She found a real good deal online so I spoke with a travel agent and she is going to just check on some pricing for me and then get back to me by Monday. If all goes well I should be on a plane on my way to South Africa on 15/16 August for a months' holiday yayyyyyyyyyyy!
Group Question - For those of you that have been overseas with a bub, are you allowed to take your pram with you? Also how do I go about taking Noah's formula onboard, can I take the tin with me or do I have to put it in my checked luggage?
Have a great weekend!

Hi ladies,
sorry I've been reading, but haven't posted in ages. We've been in the land of sickness for longer than I remember. Seems to be either Madi or me sick with one thing or another. I bought a vaporiser yesterday, and Madi had the best nights sleep since getting sick. Argh.
Pretz - to answer your q, yep you sure can take a pram, but it gets checked in with your luggage, unless it's a small stick stroller, which you can take to the boarding gate. If you have a regular pram (we have the strider plus) I highly recommend having it "wrapped" at the airport, as this will minimize any risk of getting damaged during transit. With the formula, I had a couple of those formula dispensers, with each feed amount in the little sections & just took the bottles with the cool, boiled water in them. I put a bit extra in, as sometimes they make you have a sip from each bottle to show it's not dangerous :-/ anyhow, I just packed the regular tins in my main luggage (had to take 3 tins cause the UK doesn't stock what she drinks) anyway, I found this easier than lugging a giant tin in the nappy bag. HTH, any other questions feel free to ask :)
AFM - well as above, we've just been lying low with illness, but that aside Madi has been going great. She is crawling, standing (without support for like 20sec at a time), climbing on everything & babbling. I can't believe how much she has learnt in just the last month! She's always crawling off to investigate things! Still sleeping well at night, and still having 3 naps a day, though they are shorter (between 45min-1.5hr) I tried cutting back to 2 naps, but that didn't work. She does fight naps sometimes though, and I can spend up to an hour repeatedly going in & laying her back down, frustrating! reflux is still up & down, and we have good & bad wks with getting her bottles down, though she eats ok, so that's something.
Group question: so I am still giving milk before food, when do I swap this around? I know milk is still important til 1, but do I wait til then to give food 1st?
Cheers Bec xo

Yeah Bec, you wait til they're one before you swap it around :)
We've all been sick with a nasty flu over the weekend. Summer's still eating snot every chance she can. I think she likes it...
I think I'll buy a vapouriser when I have some money. I had one years ago, but it went mouldy inside & was hard to clean, so I got rid of it. Now I know more about cleaning I'll be able to fix that! (I was 18... my mum is actually learning cleaning tips from me!)
I'm so over the school holidays. They go back Monday. Can't come fast enough!!
We have 6 weeks left before we have to be out of our house & still nowhere to go :( I'll put an application in for a house down the road, but its not a great area. & it'll require me actually leaving the house in the mornings to get the kids to school!! I'll have to drive them 5 or 10 minutes away to catch the bus up here
Its a very nice house though. Old queenslander done up, with 2 bedrooms in the roof, one down stairs. All the rest is one big open area.
OMG its cold! We're out of wood! Going to scab some from dad today!!
-
JaCaMa - Hiya Bec, great to hear from you! :) Sorry to hear that both you and Madi have been sick. It's going around now as everyone I know and their bubs have been sick recently.. it's too freaking cold I reckon. Thanks for your tips re flying. I might go and buy a cheapy stick stroller that way it's easy to get around otherwise I'd have to buy one in South Africa and then have to drag it all the way back again. I'm too scared my pram would get damaged if I have to check it in so won't be taking it.. Thanks I will do the same with Formula, just put it in the formula dispenser and keep the tin in my luggage. I am only going to take 1 tin in my luggage as my Mum said that they do sell the S26 Gold there, so that's good. I can't remember but how did Madi go on the flights to the UK and back? Did she sleep well? I'm flying from Brizzy to Sydney and then from Sydney to Johannesburg direct so booked one of the basinette's for the Sydney to Johannesburg flight. I heard that you should feed them on take off and landing to help with their ears popping.... how did Madi go with that and did/does she use a dummy? Noah doesn't use a dummy so will have to try the bottle... :) Thanks again for your help/tips. Hope both you and Madi get better soon! PS: Are you on FB? Almost all of us are on there and Vicky created a group for us a while ago so we chat in there mostly since it's easy to chat from our phones etc. If you do have FB, click on the FB link on my profile and it should take you to my profile where you can add me. ;)
Hiya Clover! Nice to hear from you, although sorry to hear that you all have been sick too. I hear ya on the snotty noses and them not wanting to eat food but will the snot if you don't wipe it! lol I hope you get the other house down the road. It sucks when you have to move, but it's also exciting with a new place as you get to find new spots for all your stuff. :) We have bought wood twice since the beginning of June as I have been trying to keep my fireplace going all the time so it keeps the house warm.
Hello to everyone else! :hello:
Hope you all have a great day!
Me xoxo
-
Only twice Pretz? Geez, I buy a trailor load every 2 or 3 weeks!
I wouldn't mind the house down the road, but the area is pretty bad. I'd rather stay here in town. I'm on my own full time. If I can keep my dog it might be ok, but I don't want to live there without her. I'm worried about living here without her!!
-
Hi all,
Am reading, will come back later when not trying to listen to my bro play footy on the radio!! IF ONLY I lived in Melb!!

Hey Clover!
What a lovely surprise to see you posting in here.....
We have all been wondering how you are doing? We have posted you some messages on your FB wall for Summer's birthday (:happybirthday Summer) yesterday! Hope you all had a great day!! :D
How's things going with you honey? Did you ever find a place to move to and how are you and your kidlets doing?
Thinking of you!!

Living with mum & dad, so no net. Sorry guys.
-
Clover! Hi! So glad to hear from you, hope everything is going ok!
Ladies ...
Gosh I miss this thread. I have spent like most of the afternoon reading through old posts (while Ben had a 3hr 10min nap!!!). FB just ruins everything .... **stamps foot - chanting "bring back Belly Belly"**
FB is so easy to keep track with everyone, and I am the worst for finding time to post on here ... but ... i don't know. Just being sentimental I guess.
Baby ... cough, cough, sorry TODDLER (WTF?!?) just woke up!
-
Hi ladies! gosh only 11 days until V is a big one year old. And he was our youngest babe wasn't he?
Happy birthday to all the beautiful bubs who have already turned 1 and the others who aren't quite yet. They are all gorgeous.
Can't believe its been a year, flown. I can still remember being insanely jealous of all you who had already popped! Now I'm thinking aww wish Vinnys big day would hurry up, but at the same time would rather he stop growing up and stay a baby.
Where are they all at now that we are a year down the track?
Teeth: V has 8, 4 top and 4 bottom. Teething again atm but I aint sticking my fingers in there to get bitten again.
Words: V is a chatter box. All the regulars, mum dad bub nan up down duck ball book cat dog and some randoms i've only heard once like car chair mouth and then he is constantly asking questions whosthat and whatsthat while pointing at anything and everything!
Mobility: first steps on the weekend (only 2, twice) and none again.
Personality: just a cheeky monkey! he loves dancing and playing with balls. balls are his favourite toy on the planet. he has a really decent throw arm on him! He also pulls the books out of the bookshelf about 10 times a day and doesn't yet get that he has to put them back.
would love to hear what everyone is up to and its nice to reminisce back to this time last year when some of us were popping!
-
Hi Brydz! Wow, V's vocabulary is amazing! He is going to be one smart cookie!
What's up with Ben:
Teeth: 6 In total, 2 below, 4 up top. No more teething at the moment.
Vocab: just the usual - mum, dad, nan, bub (he points and says bubba when he spots another baby) and wow. Trying to say book, just comes out 'ook'.
Walking: Trouble on 2 legs a week after turning 10 months. Over it already haha
Personality: oh my goodness. Cheeky. Big Time. He is a show off and loves people looking at him ... unlike his sister. He is on the go the second he is awake to the second his put back in bed.
AND I am concerned about how much is going to eat as a teenager ... He eats more than my 4yr old. Put on 600g in 2 weeks. Holy crap.
-
Clover - No worries hun, just drop us a line whenever you can! Hope everything else is going well with you and the kids though!
Nikki - Yes, I know what you mean about missing this BB thread and our chats in here, even though we are all up to date on FB and yes, it is much easier to keep up to date, as you do with FB on the mobile! :p At least I get my BB addiction controlled when I post in the TTC thread! lol
Hi Brydz! Yes, I agree with Nikki - WOW, Vinny is saying a lot of words, but that's great!
What Noah is up to (up to no good mostly), lol:
Teeth: Noah has 5 teeth now, 2 at the top, 3 at the bottom (just cut the bottom one last week).
Words: Noah says mum-a, dad-a, bub-a, daddy, boo, hey, whoa, hoo (when he points at something).
Mobility: Noah is still crawling most of the time and man is he SUPER QUICK at it! lol But he gave his first real steps last week and have been doing it off and on since then although he hasn't really taken off walking properly IYKWIM.
Personality: Mr FRIENDLY, he is ALWAYS smiling and happy about 99% of the time! He is very busy/active and finally over his separation anxiety unlike a few months ago! lol Honest, I have a very happy chappy little boy on my hands and couldn't ask for a sweeter, cuter little man! :p
Sleep: He sleeps 11 hours overnight and has 2x naps during the day lasting about 2 hours each..
I hear ya on the eating too Nikki, I reckon I'm in trouble too once Noah hits the teens as he nearly eats more than me already!
Hiya to everyone else that might still be reading this thread!
xoxox
-
wow the boys are doing great Nikki and Pretz.
they are just gorgeous, I love seeing the fb pics and watching them grow up. Yes Noah seems like a very friendly and happy little guy from what i've seen!
vinny is a charmer, today we had an impromptu photo shoot at the shopping centre and he was laughing and grinning so much like a dozen random shoppers stood around to watch. tad awkward I thought lol. everywhere we go he has ladies eating out of his hand ;) definitely gunna have fun with the girls when he is older.
I forgot sleep, he usually sleeps about 10-11 hours overnight and still has a short nap after breakfast and sometimes 1 or 2 other naps (lunch time and arvo). Depends on what we are up to.
As for the talking, my family are all talkers you struggle to get a word in edge ways, so I guess Vinny will fit in just fine. My 2yo niece is a parrot too. lol
any more babies planned for you guys?
has been so long I haven't changed my ticker yet, my sisters little man Laithan Tulloch is now almost 8 weeks old!
-
:hello: clover, happy birthday to the other 10.10.10 baby! Hope summer enjoyed her day xx
Teeth: cooper has 6 at the moment, 4 at the top, 2 at the bottom and the 2 bottom eye teeth are visible under the gum
Words: mum, dad, bub, nan, pop, Cooper, dog, cat, car, yum, who, huh, book, out (while banging on the backdoor wanting to go outside) and the latest which blew us all away was grandad after my dad said it to him like 3 times in a row
Mobility: still mainly crawling, he can stand and take steps but he's super impatient and learning how to walk is to slow so he just gets down and crawls lol
Personality: he LOVES being the centre of attention but it's a catch 22 because if strangers talk to him he goes shy and hides away lol, around people he knows but he is so insanely funny and just has the best personality. Some of the stuff he does just cracks us up it's so funny, he is so insanely smart! Everyone who plays with him is amazed at his knowledge. If you show him something once he knows how to do it! He's very inquisitive, you can see his brain ticking over all the time while he's trying to work things out. He's definately a people person, he will rarely entertains himself, he'd much prefer having someone play with him and his toys or he'll follow you around wherever you go, make doing anything very difficult lol.
Sleep: he used to sleep 7-7 no questions asked sometimes even as late as 7-9, but he got a bad cold a few weeks back and that messed his sleep up, he started waking numerous times a night but since we changed his bedtime routine to add lavender and lots of it he now sleeps 9-7.30 on occasions he'll wake once during the night but goes straight back to sleep. I'm happy with that, it's better than waking hourly like he did a few times haha
-
Hey guys. Summ Jesse & I are over in WA... Bit of a holiday. Visiting dh who's working over here & meeting my gorgeous niece.
Summer is running. Got her first tooth the day she took her first steps at 10.5 months. She has 6 already. 4 up top just in the last 2 weeks.
Not much talking yet. Mum bub dad nan & bye.
Gotta deal with a screaming 3 year old :( later girls xx
-
Clover - Hope you are enjoying your time over in my neck of the woods LOL How cute that Summer is running!
Raffy - I'm so glad that Cooper's sleeping has sorted itself out again ... WTG on the lavender. How are you feeling post wedding? It's quite sad when it is all over.
LOL at Vinny being a charmer Brydz. That's so cute. Ben is a bit of a show off too for photos. Boys
Yeah Pretz, their appetites are amazing huh! Ben has a HUGE bowl of porridge for breakfast ... more than me definately!
Re Brydz's question - We will be having another bub, maybe 2 more (will see how that goes after the 3rd). I won't be having one anytime soon though. Perhaps get pregnant when Ben is between 2 and 3 years old. Don't want a massive age gap, but I am already run off my feet with 2 so I need a bit more of a break.
Sleep - Ben sleeps 12 hours overnight (without waking ... finally! Has been like it for about 3 weeks). Since I cut down on booby time! 2 x 2hr naps during the day too.
AFM - Really need to go hang my mountain of washing after our little escape down the south for 4 days and do some groceries ... yuck. Hope you are all well!!
-
Hellllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (echo)
-
:hello: Nikki!!!! :p How you doing hun??
It's very quiet in here.......I miss us chatting away in here......(even though we have the FB group too). ;)
Brydz - You asked whether we were planning anymore babies.....well, yes, DH and I are currently TTC bub #2 and it's our 3rd month of trying this month. Currently in the :2ww: and not reading into it too much, just going with the flow for now. We always said just 2 kids, and I'm sure that if bub no 2 is a girl, then that will probably be it, but if it's another boy.....well, then perhaps I'll try to twist DH's arm to have another! :p I would really LOVE a little girl, but would be happy with either, as long as bub is healthy! :) How are you and Vinny and how's things going with J?
Clover - How have you been hun? Are you still living with your parents? Hope you are all well and give Summer a kiss from us.
Hi Raffy, Vix and everyone else that might be reading this thread! Hope you're all doing well!! :)
AFM, cut my toe against a gate last Friday and it's been sooooo painful, but now it's starting to ooze a bit and looks very red, so MIL reckons I should go see a doctor incase of infection. Noah just went down for a nap so might try to book into see GP tomorrow... Perhaps I will go join my little early-riser in having a nap! lol
xoxo
-
Hellllllllllloooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! :p Anybody reading this thread???????
-
Hello everyone. :) I'm a new mum I have a 4 month old little girl and I'm new on the coast and don't have many friends anyone who wants to chat go ahead !
-
:hello: pretz I am still lurking :) how is your toe going? Hope it wasn't infected.
-
:hello: Raffy! :p My toe was incredibly painful for a few days, but thankfully wasn't infected! Phew! :) How you feeling lovely? Not long to go at all now and you'll be a Mummy to a newborn again! I can't wait to be UTD again and to feel the kicks and movements and to have a belly, but at the same time am making the most of all the sleep I can get! hehe ;)
-
Oh don't wish that upon yourself hahaha I currently have feet under my ribs and it's making sitting comfortably very much impossible lol who knows you could be UTD right now :o I have everything crossed that both you and jacqui get your bfps this month. I will definately be stalking for some news :) I only have 5 weeks to go until I'm due :o I'm praying to whoever will listen that I go early but because I want to be home and settled in time for Christmas with ALL my boys :) gonna start trying to get him out next week, I started at like 39 weeks with Cooper and he was two weeks late still haha so maybe if it takes three weeks to induce labour naturally for me and I start next week he'll be here a week before Christmas haha. Ohh I have some info for you to, It was recommended by my mw that I try perineal massage to reduce the risk of tearing. I no your worried about the same thing and you have at least 9 months to really be worried but google it! Can't hurt to have some info early :)
-
Haha yeah i can imagine that having feet stuck under your ribs must be uncomfy. I'm hoping that I'm lucky with my next bub like I was with Noah and that he/she never gets that high up to actually feel it hurt in your ribs. I carried Noah low my entire pregnancy so hoping for the same again. I also LOVED being pregnant last time (dispite the horrible morning......no wait, all day sickness and some other aches and pains here or there) but still LOVED being pregnant and hoping that I LOVE it next time around too, especially as it is most likely going to be my last bub next bub... I hope your'e right and that i'm UTD (just don't know it yet)....but don't have any gut feelings about being UTD....so we'll see. I too hope that both Jacqui and I get our BFP's this month. Would be soooooooo awesome to be belly buddies again! Thanks for the info on the perineal massage, will definitely do that. I'd hate to have another tear (even though mine was only a 2nd degree tear compared to your 3rd degree tear) and have it muck up with scar tissue and having to have it fixed again afterwards.....
I hope that this bub comes earlier for you than Coops did and that you get to have ALL your boys home with you for Christmas. If it does happen early and I don't get the chance to say, I hope it all goes well hun!

We're doing ok :)
We've had a few struggles. I had a job working for my brother, but lost it for no real reason. Well they gave me reasons, but none of them made sense.
Ex is as self centred & useless as always. We get a text once or twice a month. He might ask for a phone call every 2 months  No child support or anything exciting like that.
We've had about 6 weeks of sickness in the house lately. Summer had a chest infection for 4 weeks. 3rd lot of Abs cleared it up, then she got a tummy bug before she even finished the ABs. That went on for a week, then the flu started! DS, then DD3, now DD2 has it. DD1 is up in Perth on a school camp til Friday :) Hopefully she won't get it while she's away :(
We're all involed in sports here. Loving just how involved this community is in everything. The 2 older girls & I are all playing netball & DS is playing netball & football :) Finally meeting some people outside the family since forcing myself out a bit more.
Summer is a rat. Running around, talking heaps. I was starting to worry about her speech, but she's starting to put 2 words together now. Nan eh Pop is her favourite thing to say at the moment  She's a little bit too smart & alot more active/into everything than the others were. Drawing on walls etc. She started usint the potty, but got sick, so lost interest. Still only wearing size 1's. All the others were too tall for 1's by now.
Can say 'I dunno' & 'wasn't me' Also sings 'I know it' (sexy & I know it) Getting a bit girly. Loving babies, prams, handbags & shoes. All animals are Bella, our dogs name.
Can't believe they'll all be 2 soon. Going so fast.
-
Great to hear from you Clover, Summer sounds like she is thriving.
Also sounds like you are enjoying life more...apart from the job loss and your ex.
Post more next time I'm on the outer.
