Raffy OMG WOW!!!!!!!! that is awesome news hun CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!. Don't know what else to say but that it is awesome news. woohoo. hope everything goes really well xoxoxo.

pretz -I hope you are feeling alright and dont have a bad cold. I am still getting over mine, had it around 10 days now. still coughing up a lot of yuk stuff and my nose hasn't completely stopped running yet. wish it would just p off.. wow 8.44kg and is 72cm! that is great stuff. go Noah! Vinny gets weighed next wednesday for his 6 month appointment, oh joy more needles.. at the hospital last week he was 7.78 and it had been two weeks since he was weighed at 7.72 so not much gain there but he was sick and not eating so I don't expect he'll have put a lot on this month.. oh that will be nice finishing your bathroom and kitchen. I still look at my house every day and imagine what it could be.. waiting to hear from the bloke I emailed weeks ago about getting my stumps looked at to assess how bad it is.. no point doing cosmetic things up top if the floors aren't level..

sparkles goodness Ty is a big boy too! they all are. good to hear he is settling better in the day time that sucks about all the chucking. hope they can figure something out poor lil guy. have fun moving house, that is one thing I hate doing.. yuk. packing is awful, unpacking not as bad cos I like putting the finishing touches around to make the house a home.

nikki Sorry you are havinga hard time hun. If it helps to know V still wakes at least 2 times a night 95% of the time. IT is hard work, I thought by almost 6 months he'd be sleeping better.. And I get heart palpitations sometimes too. They are really annoying. 9kg? wow all our bubs are doing so well. go Ben! that is good he sounds like he is doing really well with his sitting and all fours rocking. V has only just started trying to lift his bum off the floor in the last day or two.. they will all be off and moving before too long.

Vix - Lovely to see you on here and to hear from ya! Still thinking of you each and everyday honey and sending you huge, big hugs!! Way to go on Alannah having 3 meals a day now! Woot woot! TBH I just give Noah whatever (vegies and fruits) without waiting the 3 days too, sometimes I'll give it to him 2 days in a row, but he has seemed ok with everything so far and neither me, nor DH suffer from food allergies so I'm guessing he won't either....??

Raffy - LOVE the names you have picked for your future bub! Like Brydz, I haven't heard of the name Daylen either but it's different and unique and love it!! Thanks honey. Milo (my cat) seems to be doing ok now, but not sure what is going to happen as we haven't had the results yet, will probably get them after Wednesday this coming week due to all the public holidays and everything. Sorry to hear about your Mum's cat with his tumours as well, that's horrible. Glad that she is ok now though. Yay on those nice dark lines of your HPT's and WTG on Coop's fantastic weight and lenght. Hope Coop's has been better for you the last couple of days. Noah has been a bit out of sorts with his daytime naps and very clingy and cranky when I don't give him enough attention.

Nikki - Thanks honey for the hugs. Like mentioned to Raffy, won't get the results until probably Wednesday this coming week, but I too am praying that it's not cancer or a tumour. Funny you should say that you hate sewing, I do too, infact, I can't really sew at all that's why MIL was here to help me, she's great at sewing!!! lol Have a long way to go with the curtains though (our room, Noah's room and spare room has been finished for ages - my own Mum actually finished them when she was here last year lol) and now it's just living and dining room that needs to be done, but it'll probably take MIL a while as there are soooo many bloody windows! lol Sorry to hear that Ben is still waking 2-3 times a night. Wish I could give you some tips/info/help/answers, but unfortunately I don't. All I will do is send you a huge, big and say that it'll probably get better eventually (hopefully sooner rather than later though). Just staying home for Easter and doing a few things around the house and tomorrow is Noah's Christening/Baptism and we have the in-law's over for lunch. Hope you have a great time down south and that it doesn't rain (not all the time anyway).

Brydz - Thanks honey, I will take lots of piccies tomorrow of Noah's Baptism and post them on FB when I get a chance next week. I hope that you and J will be able to sort out and agree on a naming day for Vinny. WTG on the casual work on your previous job that's excellent! Hope it turns into something more permanent for you too though. Have a great time tomorrow with your family and with all the kids/toddlers/babies!

Hello to everyone else!

HAPPY EASTER GIRLS to you, your DH's/DF's/DP's and your beautiful babies!! Hope you all have a great day and enjoy the chocolate!! lol

AFM, feeling much better now after some meds and anti-b's. Went to GP on Thursday morning as I woke up with this rash all over my body which reminded me of the time I was 17 and had Rubella (only difference was this time it wasn't itchy). Was a bit worried cos I thought if I did have Rubella, what would happen with Noah...? Anyways, GP said that it looks like an allergic reaction and if anything could be from the gastro-bug-virus I had and that he thinks I was a bit dehydrated. Gave meds and anti-b's and by last night the rash was almost entirely gone! Feeling much better and had a good day with DH and Noah today cleaning up our office and doing a few things around the house.

Well then, I am going to head off and reply to an email I have wanted to reply to for nearly a week now and then off to have a cuppa tea and watch a movie with DH.

Love to you all!

Morning lovely ladies, happy Easter to you all and your bubbas

Vix - I wish I had the perfect thing to say to make you feel better. Thanks for popping in and updating us on your beautiful bubbas. Happy 7 months to alannah for the 19th, and wow on having all 8 teeth, Cooper has none haha, df didn't get his first til 10 months so it looks like coops is taking after him in that respect.

Pretz - glad Milo seems to be doing better hope it's nothing serious and he makes a full recovery, all the best for noahs baptism, can't wait to see pics also glad your feeling better to and the rash wasn't rubella what a relief, im sure.

AFM - df went away this morning for Anzac day, and will be back Tuesday. We are dog sitting for friends who also went away and frankly I'm ready to murder this dog, bronco (our dog) is an outside dog, but Jasper (our friends dog) is always inside and sleeps in our friends bed at night, so he has been yapping from the second he got here. I can't let him inside coz Cooper plays on the floor all the time and the cat food is in the laundry, which will make him sick if he eats it! DF told him off 3 times during the night cos he wouldn't shut up. It's doing my head in. He will shut up if you go out and tell him off but as soon as you close door he starts again! Dogs like these make me appreciate bronco so much more as I seriously don't think I've ever heard him bark unless we've told him to 'talk' anyways that's my vent for today and a reminder to myself to never buy a small yappy dog lol hope you all have a fabulous day with all your family and kiddies xx

Hey Brydz,

Am on my mob, but just had to reply. You are EVERY bit as entitled as any other woman on the planet to be a mumma!! I am totally outraged for you!! Argh! You are a bigger person than me, I woulda punched her in the face! What a frikken rude cow to say that about you! Yeah it is sad for anyone to lose a bubba, but is certainly no excuse to judge other women.

Some people try for years to have a baby, needing IVF or such, so they can't complain if they have a bad day with their bub ???
It's human nature to offload emotions whether positive or negative, it doesn't mean anyone is ungrateful to be blessed with a baby.

IMO, she is just very nasty & bitter, and maybe if she worked on being a nicer human being, good things will happen to replace the sad.
You get back what you put in to this life.

Big hugs to you, don't even let that crap get to you hun. I think our babies choose US to be their mummas, I always have. They just pick who is right for them!

Hi to everyone else. Sorry I haven't replied, been reading, but am always on ph- so much easier than the puter

Raffy, just popped into say dont stress about the scan being 5 days behind - dating scans arent all that accurate so early. The baby is so tiny that even a millimetre of differnce in the technicians measurements can put you out but a few days. I had a dating scan with Evie and it put me back about 5 days too - meant i would have got a bfp at 6dpo which is highly unlikely, once i had my NT scan, she was measuring exactly to my dates. A heatbeat is a fantastic sign and congrats again xxx

Raffy - Glad that you are able to ease your MS and the waves of nausea. I LOVED being pregnant and I could deal with the leg cramps, big belly, peeing all the time, sore back and lack of sleep in the end due to the big belly, but one thing I HATED and am not looking forward to again is the MS!! Glad that you got some nice mother's day pressies too and how cute about the cup that says "love you mummy". Fingers crossed your "blind date" goes well and that you make a new friend. Thanks yes, my friend isn't doing so well with her split from her partner, and she doesn't have any family (she never had kids, couldn't have them, was in a car accident when she was 17 with her parents and broke her pelvis and her uterus and insides were all so badly damaged poor thing). I'm trying to be there for her and cheer her up but it's a bit hard as I don't really know what to say except just be there if she wants to talk.

Nikki - Snap that Ben was in a terrible mood last night too. Not sure why these boys get like that. It frustrates the heck out of me as I don't know what to do with him after a while, he won't eat, won't sleep, not happy to play, don't want to be held but when you put him down he screams....drives you insane at that moment! He slept from 6:45pm til 5:30am this morning though and on his first nap for the day now! Just hope today is better though as DH worked last night and is sleeping at the moment too. lol Boys!! I'm sorry to hear that Benny is still waking so often through the night. I was going to say you should perhaps try him on a bottle of FF before bed, but since you have and he hates the bottle, I'm not sure what else to suggest. What time do you put him to sleep of a night? I'm sure you are strict with his bedtime routine, but I found that ever since I started being strict with Noah's and stuck with it like clock-work it made a HUGE, HUGE, difference with his sleep and that is when he started sleeping through without waking. I also tried to stretch him too late at night I think and did it earlier and earlier again and he now goes to bed anywhere between 6:15pm and 6:30pm and he sleeps well, so not sure if that is why...? Huge, huge 's to you honey! I can only imagine how hard and exhausting it must be, especially having 2 babies to look after during the day and not getting any rest. I feel drained and exhausted after just looking after 1 baby all day! Yes, I was sad about the BF coming to an end, but it's great to have my boobs back to myself and to be able to wear normal bra's again (although it felt a bit odd at first) Oh that sucks that you had to cook for 15 people!! I honestly couldn't do it! I struggle to cook for 2 (me and DH) most days!! Enjoy your whinge lol and visit with your girlfriends and their babies coming over today. I have my Mummies group tomorrow as well and can't wait, sooooooo lovely to chat with them and to be able to realise you're sooooooo not the only one going through everything! lol

AFM, nothing new on my end. Just having a bit of time to myself on the PC while Noah is napping and DH is still sleeping after his night shift.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Me xoxox

PS: For those of you girls (Vix and Nikki) that were with me in the Pre-TTC thread - do you girls remember Dragonbub? Well, she had her bubba boy last Friday! How exciting!!

Okay, here I go trying to do persies! Missy is being a Minx this arvo and Bailey is flat out talking my ear off.

Nikki - I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling with still night bf. I have been having broken sleep for a few months now with Noah needing to go to the toilet once or twice a night ("Mum, I'm busting!") and Alannah being sickish the past 2 or even 3 weeks - crying out in her sleep, can't breath, lost her plug...*yawn*! Not to mention with this pnd I now find myself going to bed well after 11pm most nights and then up between 6am and 7am most mornings....but bf at night is the pits I say! I used to rub my eyes so much trying to stay awake in front of the telly those first few weeks with Alannah. I hope Ben sorts himself out soon. What about just offering him water for one of the feeds and refuse to feed him boob? Actually, I have no idea! Have you spoken with your CHN?

Brydz - Yes it is sad she has suffered a loss but far out! I think she is just jealous and is lashing out. Jealous - not like envious but I guess in a hurt way. I remember after I had my mc @ 11weeks I was a ***** and would be rude to anyone pregnant but it was my way of protecting my feelings, of being the child within if that makes sense.

Are you enjoying being back with adults again in the workplace?

I think you have the right to say no to J and co if they still smoke around him. They are putting Vinnies health at risk and increasing the chance of SIDS. I know I don't need to tell you that though.

Raffy - MS sucks! In a nutshell! lol Yesterday I came across my packet of Stemetil from my ms with Alannah. As long as you still have all the symptoms then everything is still cruising along just fine and dandy. Do you look at Cooper and try to imagine him as a big brother?

Pretz - Re: weaning Noah. It is hard isn't it. It truely is very emotional and only the other day I almost considered expressing again to try and get my milk going again to see if Alannah would bf again. I was carrying her on her back and she turned her head, mouth wide open and tried to latch on through my shirt. I told her she had had her chance and blew it!

Argh! The Impossible Princess has returned! GTG

Hi Guys.

Just wanted to pop in and quickly say to Nikki, William was exactly the same with the night waking. He was doing 3 hourly till a week ago and nothing i tried managed to keep him sleeping longer. We even tried cc and that was an epic fail. He just screamed for nearly 2 hours which was just ridiculous. I started giving him a formula bottle for the second arvo feed as he too flat out refused a bottle before bed (or overnight for that matter). I did it mainly for me as being at his beck and call every three hours was starting to get to me so i needed to just get that little bit of space. We also stopped wrapping him and slept him on his tummy and low and behold the night we did that he slept till 5am, 7 till 7 the night after and since then he has been having a feed at 4 or 5 am and then going back to sleep. He is still waking up overnight but until that 4/5am mark i can usually stick his dummy back in and he is fine. The night before this massive turn around i went out for dinner and dh gave him a bottle for his 1030 wake up and he was none too impressed and screamed for an hour and a half before realising that the boobs were out and he had to just go back to sleep lol. Not sure if any of this will help you but it might just pay to do something really different and see if that helps. I feel for you, i was going insane and the only way i was getting through it was co sleeping which was driving me bonkers as William is humungous and takes up alot of room so i wasnt sleeping too well although some sleep was better than no sleep.

Hi everyone else, iv been stalking this thread but with 2 munchkins now i never actually have time to sit down and post anything.

Hi ladies,

sorry I've been reading, but haven't posted in ages. We've been in the land of sickness for longer than I remember. Seems to be either Madi or me sick with one thing or another. I bought a vaporiser yesterday, and Madi had the best nights sleep since getting sick. Argh.

Pretz - to answer your q, yep you sure can take a pram, but it gets checked in with your luggage, unless it's a small stick stroller, which you can take to the boarding gate. If you have a regular pram (we have the strider plus) I highly recommend having it "wrapped" at the airport, as this will minimize any risk of getting damaged during transit. With the formula, I had a couple of those formula dispensers, with each feed amount in the little sections & just took the bottles with the cool, boiled water in them. I put a bit extra in, as sometimes they make you have a sip from each bottle to show it's not dangerous :-/ anyhow, I just packed the regular tins in my main luggage (had to take 3 tins cause the UK doesn't stock what she drinks) anyway, I found this easier than lugging a giant tin in the nappy bag. HTH, any other questions feel free to ask

AFM - well as above, we've just been lying low with illness, but that aside Madi has been going great. She is crawling, standing (without support for like 20sec at a time), climbing on everything & babbling. I can't believe how much she has learnt in just the last month! She's always crawling off to investigate things! Still sleeping well at night, and still having 3 naps a day, though they are shorter (between 45min-1.5hr) I tried cutting back to 2 naps, but that didn't work. She does fight naps sometimes though, and I can spend up to an hour repeatedly going in & laying her back down, frustrating! reflux is still up & down, and we have good & bad wks with getting her bottles down, though she eats ok, so that's something.
Group question: so I am still giving milk before food, when do I swap this around? I know milk is still important til 1, but do I wait til then to give food 1st?

Cheers Bec xo

Yeah Bec, you wait til they're one before you swap it around

We've all been sick with a nasty flu over the weekend. Summer's still eating snot every chance she can. I think she likes it...
I think I'll buy a vapouriser when I have some money. I had one years ago, but it went mouldy inside & was hard to clean, so I got rid of it. Now I know more about cleaning I'll be able to fix that! (I was 18... my mum is actually learning cleaning tips from me!)

I'm so over the school holidays. They go back Monday. Can't come fast enough!!

We have 6 weeks left before we have to be out of our house & still nowhere to go I'll put an application in for a house down the road, but its not a great area. & it'll require me actually leaving the house in the mornings to get the kids to school!! I'll have to drive them 5 or 10 minutes away to catch the bus up here
Its a very nice house though. Old queenslander done up, with 2 bedrooms in the roof, one down stairs. All the rest is one big open area.

OMG its cold! We're out of wood! Going to scab some from dad today!!

JaCaMa - Hiya Bec, great to hear from you! Sorry to hear that both you and Madi have been sick. It's going around now as everyone I know and their bubs have been sick recently.. it's too freaking cold I reckon. Thanks for your tips re flying. I might go and buy a cheapy stick stroller that way it's easy to get around otherwise I'd have to buy one in South Africa and then have to drag it all the way back again. I'm too scared my pram would get damaged if I have to check it in so won't be taking it.. Thanks I will do the same with Formula, just put it in the formula dispenser and keep the tin in my luggage. I am only going to take 1 tin in my luggage as my Mum said that they do sell the S26 Gold there, so that's good. I can't remember but how did Madi go on the flights to the UK and back? Did she sleep well? I'm flying from Brizzy to Sydney and then from Sydney to Johannesburg direct so booked one of the basinette's for the Sydney to Johannesburg flight. I heard that you should feed them on take off and landing to help with their ears popping.... how did Madi go with that and did/does she use a dummy? Noah doesn't use a dummy so will have to try the bottle... Thanks again for your help/tips. Hope both you and Madi get better soon! PS: Are you on FB? Almost all of us are on there and Vicky created a group for us a while ago so we chat in there mostly since it's easy to chat from our phones etc. If you do have FB, click on the FB link on my profile and it should take you to my profile where you can add me.

Hiya Clover! Nice to hear from you, although sorry to hear that you all have been sick too. I hear ya on the snotty noses and them not wanting to eat food but will the snot if you don't wipe it! lol I hope you get the other house down the road. It sucks when you have to move, but it's also exciting with a new place as you get to find new spots for all your stuff. We have bought wood twice since the beginning of June as I have been trying to keep my fireplace going all the time so it keeps the house warm.

Hello to everyone else!

Hope you all have a great day!

Me xoxo

Only twice Pretz? Geez, I buy a trailor load every 2 or 3 weeks!

I wouldn't mind the house down the road, but the area is pretty bad. I'd rather stay here in town. I'm on my own full time. If I can keep my dog it might be ok, but I don't want to live there without her. I'm worried about living here without her!!

Raffy! My toe was incredibly painful for a few days, but thankfully wasn't infected! Phew! How you feeling lovely? Not long to go at all now and you'll be a Mummy to a newborn again! I can't wait to be UTD again and to feel the kicks and movements and to have a belly, but at the same time am making the most of all the sleep I can get! hehe
