Morning ladies. I havent been on for ages. I've been having trouble with Jackson cat napping through the day and find it very difficult to get much stuff done. Pleased to hear that everyone is going well.
Kelly Was the 3 month Jabs better than the 6 week ones you had? Jackson was terrible the day of after his 2 month Jabs so Im not looking forward to the 4 month ones. He is due to get them done the day before we go to NZ for Christmas but we will wait till we get back to Brissy to make travelling easier for him.
Well I went from having a baby that was a great day sleep to a terrible day sleeper. About 4 weeks ago Jackson decided that he was going to start cat napping 30 - 40 minutes at the most for his day sleeps..... I tried everything from feed play feed sleep to staying up longer after feeds, to back to bed earlier, everything. Nothing worked. He would also scream from 5pm to 8pm and then scream to sleep which was doing my head in and upsetting both me and DH.
I was at my wits end by Monday. So went to the Dr, he told me I had to let him CIO!!! WTF??!! I wasnt happy with this but thought I needed to give something a go. So we tried it and it broke our hearts. The first night Jackson cried for 1 hour and I cried every minute of that as well. So we decided that we couldnt keep doing the CC/CIO method, I felt like a terrible mother. Anyways long story short, we went to see the Child Health Nurse yesterday cos I didnt know what to do and she reassured me that it was normal for him to do the cat napping and I had to go back to the resettling method we were doing before hand.
Jackson has been sleeping through the night for a while now and recently has been going 7pm to 5/6am. But last night he woke at 4am which was odd and today when he work for his 8am feed and went back down at 9am there was no crying!!!!!! For the first time in 4-5 weeks my baby wasnt cryingI couldnt believe it. It was like having my old baby back. But sure enough, he was awake again at that 30 minute mark. So I went in and cuddled him, re wrapped him and rocked him and put him back down to sleep. He took a while but he fell back to sleep on his own (yay! like the old days). So he's not been asleep for almost an hour and will be ready to wake for his next feed. So Im praying this is the start of better things to come
Anyways I'd better leave it there. Sorry for the woe is me/selfish post. I need to get some laundry done while he is still asleep.
I will try and BBL. Hi everyone![]()
