hehehhe we must have posted at the same time cas! I went back through the thread cause it was driving me insane! lol it was about the wonder week you spoke about.
Well I'm feeling really happy this morning, dh was on night shift again last night and when he gets home this morning he'll be on 4 days off again wooohoooo PLUS ds slept great last night I was so impressed! He went 4.5 hours between the 1st night feed than 4 hour than 3 hours :leap: so it looks like he might start sleeping for longer periods of time and I will get more sleep too YAY
Has anyone else really let themselves go? I mean my self preservation and grooming has gone right out the window and honestly it's not much better than my 80's weight lifter look if anyone remembers that  my hair is FERRAL my toe nails and feet are in need of a good scrubbing and pedicure, I really need to dust the cobwebs our (iykwim) :) far out lucky DH loves me  Well next week after my parents group I've booked in for a hair cut and eyebrow wax and I will grab some hair dye to cover up the greys that are sneaking through and I should feel like a new woman. Plus this Friday I am starting my weight loss mission. I've got around 20kg's to loose OMG :jawdrop: and after much thought I've decided to do Jenny craig which I'm really excited about! I'm not tooooo keen on prepackaged food however I thought it could great while DS is breastfeeding cause then I wont really have to do any cooking until I either I go off the program or he starts solids wooohoooo! Of course I'll prepare stuff for DH here and there but he generally looks after himself as a break from what he's doing if I'm busy. So yeah it'll also be nice to not have to think about what I'm going to eat or what to cook plus I know I'll loose weight cause that's what the program is for, so it's a win win really. No doubt you'll all hear update on how I'm going anyway.
Today I'm going to be shopping online for some fabrics to make my own bamboo inserts and some more larger liners and some fabric to make some cloth wipes out of and then I will be giving my new sewing machine a workout YAY. Hope you all had a great weekend!
you guys crack me up!! I love getting on here and seeing all the posts...
Well I've been trying a few things to help my supply, we'll see how it goes in a few days - not that is really matters anymore - I rang my boss today and she is more than happy for me to continue breastfeeding when I go back to work, I have mentioned before I'm sure, I love my job so I should have - lol - I work in Child Care so A will be at work with me, I'm not going to work in the Nursery with her, but my Boss is going to arrange for me and the Nursery staff to swap rooms when A needs to feed, so I don't have to stress anymore about making sure I can breatfeed and express - YAY - I was soooo happy to hear that news!!! Coz today I only got 125mls - woohoo and that's after having expressed after each feed and inbetween - 6times!! not so fun really!!
I think A is going through her 6week wonder week at 7wks... During the day she'll feed sleep for 2hrs wake feed be awake for 2hrs sleep feed again so on and so on til about 2 then sleep til 5pm have Daddy Daughter Time, Bath Time, then another feed, then down for her night sleep.... It's good, but oh god today she woke at 5am, and didn't feel like sleeping again til 10am!! Mummies eyes were hangin out her head, she needed some Mummy time, which is now since bub has been asleep for a good hr and DP has gone to bed...
Cherished last week I was a mess - hair a total birds nest, eyes brows looked more like eye brow or Agro, legs and 'you know' very untidy... So DP made me go and get pampered on the weekend... It was sooooo good to get out of the house and be myself for a few hours.. Does that sound horrible, I mean I've only been going this for 7weeks and already I look forward to ME time... I hope that doesn't sound horrible, I love my daughter very much, but god it was sooo good to have my hair done and eyebrows waxed!!!
In return I'm taking my lovely man to Sushi and the Soccer and having my parents watch A for a few hours... When this lovely event will occur I don't know, but It's the thought that counts right??? LOL
Well I'm going to head to bed, have a nice early night with my DP... Might even watch Criminal Minds, if we don't fall asleep..
After all that I didn't even talk about what Wonder Week is - DAH!!! - Wonder week is when bubs 'usually' have a growth spirt around 6 weeks and 3mths is when they say bubs get a bit more fussier, want to eat more, and are just generallt a little more unsettled, it usually only lasts a few days.... That's why I think A is going through is now with her feeding so much...
YAY our 1st parents group was really good :) One of the ladies who was in our antenatal class group was there which is great and there were a few other girls who I think I will really get along with so I'm so happy :leap: dh was the only daddy there! I'm not surprised though as I guess most dads are at work. It just worked out with dh's roster that he will be able to come to each week but after that when we just do regular mothers group meet ups I guess he'll just stay at home unless any other dads are going to come along. I think I might even be able to go walking with one of the girls who is also on a mission to loose the baby weight so that is a bonus. DS was really good too, he had a feed at the start and another at the end and he layed down on his back on the mat with other babies which was so cute! and he had 4 nappy changes in the 2 hours :o lol but all in all it was great.
HPL it's not bad at all that you enjoy some you time, I think it's encouraged these days anyway. I went out one day for 2 hours to get a massage and a chiro adjustment, if anything it was just weird to be away from bubs. I felt good today after some personal grooming. My hair actually looked good and I don't think I looked too tired either.
hi girls!
we are back home! so nice to be back in our own place and own shower lol.
HPL: sounds like a wonder week to me too. Marta was very similar with lots of cluster feeding and a bit more wakeful. it only lasted a few days, but wow it can rock your world when you are used to a bit of a pattern iykwim.
that is totally awesome about your work. how fantastic! that must be a HUGE relief for you
cherished: i am in DIRE need of a makeover. stuff the grooming....i need an INTERVENTION bahahaha  (oh and i totally remember your 80s phase lol). i need a haircut, bikini wax, eyebrow wax and ohhh i could do with a massage. might have to go ella bache so i can get the waxing and massage all in one go. then the hair. it has started to do the post-birth fall out so it's time.
i am jealous of the prepared meals from JC!! my DH would be mortified though if i refused to eat his cooking lol, so there's no way i could do it. but apparently weight watchers is meant to be pretty good too...might have to check it out. first i am going to try a swim at the pool once a week and see how it goes. i def have to lose a bit and get in shape (the ol' body aint bouncing back this time lol). i also still have quite a bit of muscle separation in my stomach...so i think i will have to go to phsyio for it. bummer!
awesome news on the parent group. i totally love my girls (and guys!). we also have some of the dads come along when they can and sometimes they come when the mums cant! it's so lovely to share this journey with a group i reckon (oh and WTG bubs on those nappies lol!).
AFM: well we arrived home safe and sound. Marta slept the whole way pretty much. DD1 got a bit bored and tired at the end as we decided to not stop for too long towards the end as we just wanted to get home and take advantage while Marta was sleeping. so the last 2 hours were a bit trying with a bored and grumpy 3 year old, but all in all it was a fantastic time!!
just great to have the sunshine and the surf...we miss it so much...man, i wish we still lived in fiji lol.
We have the child health nurse appt tomorrow for marta. will be interesting to see how much she is weighing now. i reckon she is cracking the 6kgs. she is HUGE.
hi ladies!
no capitals - one handed typing, bub is asleep in my arms, as we are having one of those days!
I just wanted to share our good news! update on "the hips": Scan results show the right hip is now normal, the left hip is almost there, but not quite (an "a").
Our next aapt is in 6 weeks (no longer every 2-3 weeks) and the harness should come off!! all being well, we will be having a family bath AT HOME on 16/12
6 more weeks.... 6 more weeks....
You mean the 80s isn't a good look? oh my! lol! i SOOOOOOOOO need a hair cut, and i don't remember when i shaved my legs last!
I hear you on the weight loss - i am back to my pre-pg weight, but that was still too much (i put on weight following my miscarriages, and also on the clomid), so i am working on it too, but i am just always so hungry! after not eating for the pg, now i am perpetually ravenous! and I have a "jelly belly" that sticks out quite a bit which I wonder if it will ever go away, oh well, the price we pay....
last week we both had a weigh in - dd hadn't been weighed in 3 weeks (because of our appts) and she had gained 1 kg in 3 weeks - she is now just over 4kg! still small I know, but cracking on from her 2.88 at birth! :)
What wonderful news Milly!!!! :leap: so stoked to hear that she is doing so well with her hips!!! and YAY for a family bath time! what a great chrissy present that will be!!!! :loveshower:
1kg in 3 weeks is a cracking pace! woo hoo!!!!! ha ha, Marta is a chubba bubba...she weighed in yesterday at 5.5kgs :o i still cannot believe that i managed to bake a big baby lol. i think poor DD1 will always be a short'un towered over by her much taller little sister lol.
well we had our MCHN appt yesterday. Marta is basically sitting comfy in the 75th%. whatever that means really...it's all a bit of hocus pocus IMHO. DD1 was always in the bottom 5th and she is and always was just perfect...just in a small package! cant believe that she is sooo tall though...DH and I are really short. i guess it could be a throwback to my dutch grandparents...tall on both sides...
decided not to get her immunised last night (there was the MCHN run immunisation program), as i just didnt feel comfy dealing with a potentially unhappy and sore baby at night, so she will get hers done on the 14th of this month instead.
was a good idea in the end as she was tired and fell asleep at 6.30am and we didnt hear from her until 2.30am! so she musta been tired!
having a lovely day at home today. pottered around and have made some chicken kebabs for dinner. am cheating though and have a packet pasta thingy for a side...and my salad is less than impressive, but hey! gotta go with what i can muster up in 20mins these days hahaha!
Marta is also starting to notice her playgym toys that are hanging up. she has worked out with one arm that she can bang them and they move. it freaked her out the first time but now i can see her feeling it with her hand and she is interested! so yeah, now i can pop her down on the floor for a bit while she hangs out with her bobbing friends lol.
Milly woohooo I know how much you will LOVE that bath!!!! We are loving bathing ds every night now it makes such a difference, you almost need a count down ticker for the occasion lol. I also put on weight with each miscarriage and it was so devastaing to not only loose a pregnancy but to have weight gain to show for it :(
Cas DS is also liking his play gym and we see him reaching for the toys. He does freak out after maybe 5 mins I think the big bear looking thing with the flashing nose might scare the poor little tacker. He loves his swing though.
Sorry for my short post but bubs is really tired and I need to try and put him down, he's been awake for hours and it's starting to really upset me. Today is the 1st day shift for DH since bubs was born and I've found it 'ok' but now I'm really getting over it. I've been totally spoilt having here for the 1st 7 weeks!
it's so hard when they are so unsettled  we have days like that too. it's exhausting and very hard to know that you are doing a good job (which we are!!). does he sleep at all in a sling? we use the close carrier for those really crazy moments. i find that she is still angry/unsettled for a few minutes in there, but then realises that it is comforting and goes to sleep...
and remember if it is a bit much you can put him down for a bit and walk outside. sometimes i have done that with Marta and just popped her in our bed where she is safe and just walked to my backyard where i can just refocus and get some sunshine and fresh air away from the crying. only takes a few minutes to get enough strength back to get back into it!
big hugs  hope that he finally went down for a much deserved rest xx
AFM: Marta has another cold :( and it appears that she has a posterior tongue-tie and we have to decide what to do. (it's not like an anterior one where snipping is the only way ITMS). with posterior it can mean something (ie BF probs or speech probs) or it can mean nothing. so we are busily investigating and researching...poor wee bubba, the thought of seeing a plastic surgeon so soon in her life lol.
(sigh) thanks so much cass I really needed those cyber hugs. Half an hour before dh got home I was in tears and then when he walked in the door they didn't stop flowing for a good half an hour :crying: We gave ds a bath, some more food and then dh put him to bed. I am very happy to say that bub went for 6 hours without food after going to bed and had a 5 and a half sleep! I went to bed an hour after bub so I had my longest sleep since bubs was born 7 weeks ago of 4 and a half hours :leap: Then much to my delight it was another 3 hours before bub wanted food so I really only got up twice during the night YAY Today has been much better, we went for a walk in the botanical gardens and bub slept when we got home, he hasn't had any major crying and I managed to eat lunch while he was sleeping and had a SPA for half an hour and yes it was HEAVEN, my body is so sore it was wonderful. Then on another nap time of DS's I had a lay down for about 45 mins but didn't fall asleep. He's given me some adorable smiles today which have just melted my heart and made up for all the tears yesterday. He's been up now for 2 and a half hours and is tired but wont go down, luckily he's not crying so I will try to keep him entertained for another hour then give him a bath and hopefully he'll have a really big sleep again. I tell you what girls the Jenny Craig is just bloom'n wonderful! The food is really nice and not having to think about what to eat or cook meals at the moment is the best thing ever ;)
Cass so sorry to hear about Marta's tounge, how do you even find out something like that? did you have a visit to the pediatrician? Is plastic surgery really the only way to fix it? It sounds like you do have some research to do.
:hello: Hello to everyone else, hope you are all doing well, I'd love to see some more pics of your babies :) I might try to upload some again to my photobucket account and if anyone is interested in seeing them let me know. You can also put them on BB and select for only your friends to be able to see them but last time I tried that I couldn't get them on here, hmmmmm will see what I can do
i have also had issewes with trying to upload pics on the BB gallery. managed only a couple and dont know why they worked and the others didnt. very strange. i'll also try to upload to PB and post a link! FB is a bit of a PITA with uploading pics at the moment too which is frustrating! as all the family in italy are demanding almost daily updates lol.
Cherished: ha ha, dont worry about the tears when DH comes home...we've had a few too  i remember a couple of weeks back when Marta cried like allllll day (i think i posted in here about it) and there was nothing i could do. man was my confidence rattled to its bones. she finally crashed out at like 9pm and then did her longest ever sleep too...maybe it's a developmental thing? because since then she has been a much more consistent sleeper
i want Jenny Craig to cook my meals!!!!!! i am being norti and cooking all kinds of creamy based foods lol. last night was a curry, teh night before a carbonara the night before that tuna potato bake....ie not nice to the thighs meals lol. ah well....another time haha.
AFM: poor marta has a cold...again! the joys of having an older child at kindy i guess. poor wee poppet is quite crook and needs lots and lots of cuddles. she slept all day yesterday which was actually quite worrying as i was wanting to just boob her up to boost her system. but i have to say that i am sooo glad that i didnt get her vaccinated the other night. i think it may of been too much for her little body. hopefully she is back on track next week.
a funny thing though is that i have started putting hair clips in her hair!! so awesome! she has sooo much hair....hmmm must take a picture of that!
hair clips how cute! I really ant a buba girl to dress up with girly stuff one day. Maybe the crying is developmental, thankfully DS slept well again last night and I only got up 2 times to feed him so woohooo. Such a shame about the cold :( that Melbourne weather probably isn't helping either.
On the vaccination front is anyone else not vaccinating? Cass it sounds like you are but what about you other mums? DH and I didnt' give DS the hep B or Vit K and we are not going to do the others either but are instead giving him homeopathic stuff. I hope I don't open a can of worms buy asking, I know many people feel strongly either way.
AFM the house is a bit of a mess. I would like to rearrange the furniture again but dh's back is a bit iffy so we will leave it for another day I think. Maybe I'd better crack out that sewing machine!
no can of worms here lol! we do only selective or delayed vaccinations. so no hep b or vit k at birth and no rotavirus or MMR. we did this with DD1 as well. we got a few comments from MCHNs but overall have been left to our own choices.
Milly congrats on the great news about bubba!! I'd be counting down the weeks, days and hours til bath time... Not that it's mummy time, it is strictly Daddy-Daughter time, no mummies allowed, has been since she was born :) I love it, I sneak peeks at DP and he's so in love!
Cas not good about bubba being sick, I thought A was getting cold, but nothing turned out, think it was just something in the air...
Cherished I have those days too, just so happens it's usually the days DP has TAFE after work and I'm all alone for the night, those are the nights were we're bathed by 4.30pm, both in our PJ's by 5pm, bub fed and mummy eating crap in our room lol
I'm guessing the eating crap hasn't helped with the weightloss either.. I am so glad it's not just me going nuts about their weight. I get that we have just had a baby but I feel like I shouldn't be this size anymore. I'm devo coz I had to go and BUY NEW PANTS coz all mine don't fit as well as I want, don't like the muffing top, and well my mat clothes are WAY TOO BIG for me now.. Had a cry as we do... I just remember my SIL losing so much just by breastfeeding and nothing else. She ate crap good, didn't excersice and well it just fell off her. I go for a 40min walk at least 3times a week with bubs, get fairly well most days lol, and breastfeeding, and I feel like I haven't lost anything, granted I haven't weighed myself, but the clothes, you can tell with what you wear, I feel like nothing has changed.. SO ANNOYING, what makes it worse is DP and I are getting married March 2012, and at the beginning of the year I tried on a gorgeous dress, which I think is the one, in a size 10, now there is no way in hell and I mean in hell could I fit it in now, so I can't go dress shopping and I just keep thinking will I ever get back to that size again...
Sorry it's a sore point for me, I worked my butt off to get to a certain look, not weight necessarily, just look that I felt comfortable with, then with the m/c and bubba everything has changed lol, I'm not blaming bubba, oh god no, but I just feel like I worked so hard to feel good about myself, that now I have to rethink how I look, because I am not the same person anymore, in a good way, but different, so I have to learn to love me in my own skin..
WOW what a weight issue rant sorry girls...
back to the subject.. immunisations right?? lol
We're getting bub's needles tomorrow, and we've done all the others the docs recommonded.. In saying that though we have quite a few families at work that have chosen not to immunise their children, I don't really see the big fuss in it all. It's a personal choice between parents on what they feel is best for their child... It's funny you mentioned it because I was watching Sunrise, and about Kochie's comments... He is very, umm, open about his opinions in regards to this subject, I think I put that nicely enough... I was going to ask the same question but didn't want the 'worms to get out' either...
I love that us girls can talk openly about our choices and not be critized for them... :)
AFM: Nothing much to report on the bubba front, heaps of smiles, trying very hard to giggle cant wait for that day :) .... I put her in her bumbo the other day sooo cute, she has great head control, awesome stuff, but she's still soooo tiny..
I can't remember if I mentioned her measurements for her 6wk check up - I gotta laugh she was still the size of an average newborn... 54cm long, weigh 4.4kgs, head c/c 36.5cm - my neice born a day earlier than A was 53cm long, 4.2kgs, head c/c 35cm - LMAO - Bubba is so small still, but yet she has grown soo much!! Wonder what she will be tomorrow YAY!!
Howdy girls. Another good day here today, bub is in bed at 7 and has been sleeping 5-6 hours wehn he 1st goes down so I am going to head ot bed after posting to get a big sleep in myself. Today I didn't go for my walk but I did clean the house so I thin that counts.
HPL I didn't see what Kochie said but I imagine it was pro vaccination. I saw Mel interviewing someone one day about chicken pox vac and misinformed the public about vaccination being something that you 'have to' do so I imagine whoever writes their stuff allows Kochie to rant about his pro vac view. I totally agree with everything you said about weight. I feel totally the same way and as I've said before very disappointed about eh weight I put on with the mc's I remember being at my heaviest and it was not long after one of the losses and we went to a friends wedding and they announced she was pregnant and due when I would have been... needless to say I got drunk lol What are you going to do differently to loose the weight if it's not coming off? Some people are lucky that it does just fall off, I tell dh that 'it's not fair that I have weight issues' and he tells me that it's not fair to everyone else that I am so beautiful :inlove: such a sweetie pie, always making me feel better. I'd say that most of the mums in my parent group look really good and you wouldn't even know they had the baby! Next pg I am totally watching what I eat! DS is also still small, some of his size 0000 cloths are nearly too small but others are still fitting well... Babies clothes are no exception the different sizing rule for different brands which is annoying! It's not like you can try on the baby clothes in the store like we can :wall: anyway he is still little and adorable with his smiles. I keep thinking too that some babies are his size when they are born :o
Speaking of the next pg is anyone else really wanting another baby already? Straight after our great birth I wanted another bub... when I got home for the 1st couple of weeks in that crazy haze I still wanted another one and now I really still do want to be pregnant again. I really hope bub stays so wonderful and in 6 months time I still feel this way and ttc and then get pregnant and have a girl. Yep that's my plan :p
I am so clucky it aint funny lol.... but dont tell DH lol he'd pass out lol!
Cherished love your baby plan!! We're the same, straight after A's birth we looked at each other and went " yep let's do this again" :-D can't wait for another A is so good, it's unbelievable to most just how good she is... We're gonna start ttc on our honeymoon which is 16mths away lol hope I can hold out that long.....
DP keeps telling me how beautiful I am, and how much he loves me, which is so sweet but I need to love me and feel beautiful before I start to believe it... I've hit rock bottom though, just weighed myself turns out I've put weight ON since having A so that sux, but it's definately the kick upp the a** I needed!!
My plan is: bub wake at 5am feed her change her, back to bed - dad still sleep - mum get dressed and walk/run for 30-40mins... Or bub sleep - wake at 8-9 then feed again then go together for walk... Here's the thing though I feel like when I come back I can't just sit and breath for a sec coz there's all the house work to do, the cooking and also my TAFE work... Aarrhhhhh now you guys are seeing the real side of me - scary I know - I better go before u start a new thread and not tell me lol
 bahahahhha I don't think that will happen! we love ya gal  it can be tough can't it. At least you have a plan but if you want my advice (even though you haven't asked for it) I'd say to make sure you are enjoying the activity you are doing otherwise it will feel like such a chore and you may end up feeling resentful kwim I'd also recommend the taking bub with you in the pram option cause then at least you are entertaining bub during awake time and it's a win win. I also feel like I need to do the house work but thankfully our house always looks pretty clean even when it's messy as we don't have too much clutter around if that makes sense. It does annoy me when the floor is dirty though.
Cass you secret is safe with us :shhh: hope we are in another belly buddy group together soon then ;)
AFM I've lost 1.1kg's since Friday :leap: and had a pretty good night with DS WOOHOO
our house is messy AND dirty :wall: i cracked it today because DH only vacuumed 2 days ago and already there are dog hair snowballs. seriously it is bugging me no end. i swear that she never used to be this hairy!!!! and the toddler...omg, she is a tornado. the moment you clean up her stuff she gets so excited about seeing her toys all neatly arranged that she has to play with all of them..all at the same time lol. i am now looking at her bookshelf where she went to read one book this morning and the entire contents has spilled across the floor...
gosh, i have no real exercise plan in place yet...i am a 'gunna-do' lol. although my plan to swim on thursdays does look possible. drop DD1 off at kindy park the car and swim at uni (which is what i did when pg).
AFM: bit of a restless night for poor marta what with all the snot interfering with her breathing. luckily we have a fess snot sucker on hand as it was my saving grace in the wee hours. she was up hourly until 10pm but then managed a pretty good stretch until 2.30am (her usual wakeup time when put to bed at 6.30). then up again at 5.30 due to snot overload lol.
*omg!!!* i am lying here on the floor above marta's head typing away and she is chatting away to me...obviously she wanted more face to face contact cause she is trying to ROLL :o she is propping her leg up and trying to push over!! then when she is on her side she starts laughing lol.
Yay for Marta almost rolling over!! Audrey loves belly time and can lift her head pretty well but no signs of rolling, she moves from one end of her mat to the other tho - my gosh she has strong legs - not so much upper body hehehe
I sat her in her bumbo today, soooo cute she looked so tiny too!!
Quick question before bed - teething - I cut my first tooth at 3mths my DP at 4mths, bubs had temps 37.8 drooling fist in mouth - biting my nipples - Crying more - all the tell tale signs if teething - but she's only 2mths old :-( please tell your bubbas are the same - I'm not ready for teething yet LMAO!!!
Huggs to all!!
Happy 2mths Audrey xxoo
Hi Girls!
Sorry I haven't been I here in a while. I haven't been on BB much lately.
'm glad I'm not alone with the crying isues. brock is still quite unsettled at times. And he still usually wakes twice a night. I think I was spoilt with Charli as she slept through form 11 weeks but I cannot see Brock doing that any time soon.
RE: vaccinations. I have been selective also. We didn't give the hep B at birth. But I did give the Vit K as I kinda figured it's not a "vaccination" as such and I saw the merit in why it's given. Brock has had his 2 month vaccinations and thankfully had no side effects whatsoever. I am still undecided about the MMR though. If I do give that one we might delay it. I agree with HPL that it's a totally personal decision and that parents should be able to do what they think is right for their own children without criticism.
As for wanting another baby. I SOOOO want to be pregnant again! I am having a hard time convincing DH to go for a 3rd though.
Morning my lovely mummas :family:
Cas I find that bub also gets a little vocal if he's sitting next to me but I'm not talking to him or looking at him and honestly I feel a little bad if I'm appearing to ignore him too. I know I'm not but he must be wondering why I'm not looking at him kwim? Our house also seems to get dirty quicker than usual especially the floor... no idea why though! :Wall:
HPL no teething here but I'm going to start putting the amber necklace on soon. DS also loves tummy time and has always been really strong, he'd much prefer to be on his tummy than back.
MamaS I think you're doing well with only 2 times a night. There have only been a few times where I've only gotten up 2 times and they were heaven. It was every 3 hours then went to 4-5hours and then every 3 hours but last night I was back to every 3 hours as he got woken up by a creaky door during his 1st sleep which is usually the bigger sleep  so wont be making that mistake again!
AFM SOOOO in love with DS he just lights up my day. I'm loving the breastfeeding and when he looks up at me it's just beautiful. I don't have anything to compare him too but I think he's really good baby, doesn't really cry that much (so far... touch wood). Parents group was a little weird on Tuesday, it's hard when there are a bunch of woman put together and they all talk non stop, I couldn't really have a proper conversation with anyone kwim. My sewing project is getting there, yesterday I started trying to figure out the sewing machine, who'd of thought it'd be so tricky to get all the setting right and to know which sttich to use for what etc I want to have it sorted by the end of the day! And how happy am I today having lost 2.1kg in the last week :leap:
hi girls!!!
HPL: no, no teething here! but DD1 was a late bloomer lol. she only got her first tooth at 11 months lol....so somehow i dont think we are in that zone yet. i missed the part about your honeymoon!! ohh a honeymoon baby would be nice! are guys getting married? or is this a belated honeymoon trip??
MamaS: oh we still have moments of 'lady cranky pants' in the house lol. fortunately not so much anymore, but when she cracks it, she really cracks it IYKWIM.
we are also still mostly on 2 wakeups a night. there were about 3.5 weeks there where it was only once (at around 2.30am) but she got another cold and has been needing a few extra feeds. it's amazing how after a good run one crazy night can knock you about! i was like a zombie lol!
give DH some time babe...he'll get there! i reckon they can get all overwhelmed with the enormity of it all at times (as we all do i guess!)...but once Brock starts to do all that cool older baby stuff who could resist not having another lol????
Cherished: yeah our MG can get like that too lol. especially as we now are nearing the mark of having 20ish children (we are all onto our second). when the kids were babies though we used to introduce ourselves by each of us briefly giving a synopsis of our week with bubs (ie, sleeping, where did you go etc etc). i always looked forward to it as it was a good way to share, vent and celebrate.
when are you putting on the amber necklace? i want to buy it as a xmas present for Marta, so was thinking around then?? or should i start earlier??
AFM: well i now have the snot monster! Marta loves to share hahaha! so am feeling REALLY tired. not to mention that i am also taking some homeopathics that my Dr in Italy has given me for the boob thrush. man, it is amazing. here i was taking all these massive scary pills and gel with NO result, then i take two small granules a day for 3 days from the homeopath and BANG. thrush GONE! :leap: of course i am feeling really gross as you are not allowed to brush your teeth. apparently mint and licquorice 'kill' the drugs...so no garlic for me lol.
Morning Ladies,
Can I ask a silly questions - What's an Amber Necklace? I've never heard of that before...
Cass: DP proposed to me on our Anniversary this year, which is New Years - we were planning our wedding and then found out we were pregnant!! It was a lovely suprise, as we had decided not to try after our m/c and just see where things would take us, in fact I was coming to terms with not trying again for a year, so it was really a wonderful gift... Turns out though I had been pregnant for a littlebit, we found out when I was almost 10wks...so we postponed the wedding until 10th March 2012, so we could save the $$, bubs be a bit older, me to lose weight LMAO - so we are planning for this bubs to be around 2 1/2yrs when number 2 is born, fingers crossed toliet trained as well!!
Well as for the teething front had a good look around this morning and we have 2, yes you read correct 2 white bumps on her bottom gums, when mummy runs her fingers over them she howls!! First thought maybe not teeth, maybe an infection, but no their hard - so starts the joys of teething!!
Hi Ladies,
Just thought I would pop in and see what you are all up to and how your bubs are going. Sounds like you are all going really well which is great :D Cant believe teething already!!
You have got a few weeks on me so I am hoping Chloe learns to sleep like your bubs are. Immunisation on Monday for her too. eep.
Cherished - way to go on the weight loss!
Cas - great the thrush is gone and hopefully the snot follows suit soon.
Ok sneeking back out now. :hello:
HPL: an amber teething necklace is just that! a necklace that bubs wears 24/7 basically that can really help with the symptoms of teething. i have a feeling that it also just helps with the 'chill' atmosphere in general. they are specially designed for babies to prevent choking hazards etc, do a google and check em out!
Fuzzy: sleep is still pretty up in the air here for us. although i have to say that it is much better than i had thought it would be. DD1 was sleeping through fairly consistently at this age (go down at 6.30pm and wake at 4.30am for a quick feed then down again until 7am) but she was a good feeder and in her own room (which tbh i think can really make the difference for some kids). i find that we are doing pretty awesome with DD2 considering that she is bunking down with us in our room. i had expected it to be alot harder but thankfully she is not afraid of catching the zzz's and is a quick feeder when she does wake. i also have taken to not changing her nappy unless totally necessary (but we are in disposables at night which lets that one work well lol).
my plan though is to have her move into Leila's room soon. i am thinking in a couple of months. they shared together when we were on holidays the other week and did really well....:crossfingers:
AFM: still snotville here. but managed to pull off a BBQ despite the torrential downpour! pulled out the smoke alarm though  8 kids, 17 adults :o
:hello: everyone!
Cherished I'm jealous that your little man does not cry very much. Mine is very much vocal. Boy does he have a set of lungs on him! Lol
Wow Cass! You go girl with the entertaining!
Thanks for your advice re: DH and the possibility of a 3rd Child. I think you're right. I think he'll come around. He does worry though that our place isn't big enough (it's a 3 bedder) but I don't see the problem with 2 of the kids having to share just like Leila and Marta will be. In fact I think it probably does them good ;). It would be brilliant if we had another boy as the 2 would be close-ish in age, but if we had another girl and there was a 5 year age gap do you think that's too much of an age gap for them to share a room? I guess while they're little not really but once they got to tweens/teens it could cause a few issues, lol. But hopefully we'd be in a bigger place well and truely by then anyway.
hi guys!!
just quickly as marta is tiring fast of her bouncy...
here is a couple of links to my FB albums. you should be able to see them without needing an account... :crossfingers:
Baby Marta Arrives!
Wollongong Holiday!
we are pretty good here. late night last night what with the BBQ, but had a lovely time. today is the midwives summer picnic at our local park. so should be awesome to catch up with everyone and hopefully i'll get to meet some BB girls as they are having HBs through the same group :crossfingers: (although one is due about now...so hopefully she is off having a baby lol)
Oh Cass there are some really lovely pics there! and she sure does have loads of hair :p Your whole family is beautiful, thanks so much for sharing your photos especially the ones of your birth :) I put the amber necklace on DS yesterday or maybe the day before? It doesn't seem to bother him but it was pretty firmly tucked up under his chin/neck today at a nap time so dh want's it taken off when he is sleeping. Maybe for now that is ok but when he is teething we might keep it on during sleep too? I got mine from ebay for $15 or $20 I can't remember but I love it, hey I will upload those pics to phoobucket and you can have a look :) I think anytime is ok to start wearing them, HPL they reduce inflamation anywhere in the body so they are great for anything, doesn't have to be just for teething kwim.
MamaS I don't think it matters so much about the gender/age stuff that you mentioned. I think it's our own ideal that brothers will get along or sisters will but it doesn't always But I really have no idea. I guess it depends on how well they get along and you can never know that until the kids are here lol
fuzzy YAY so great to hear from you but you didn't give us much of an update of you? The sleep thing isn't down pat in our house :( some nights he'll sleep for longer periods than others and just when I thought we were in some sort of a routine he wakes more often again. At least he goes back down quickly after his feeds which are also quick so I shouldn't complain.
AFM I've been sewing and my boosters and wipes are great I think for a 1st effort with a new machine :p my back is sore so will be having a spa later I think, dh is on night shift so hope DS is a good boy for me. I'll be off to parents group by myself tomorrow so I hope again that DS is good. We've got a friend coming to stay with us for 5 night from Wed so I'll be a little absent. My weight loss is still going well so I'm pretty happy all round.
Hi ladies!!
just catching up on a few posts.....
HPL - I like the idea of daddy doing the bath! yes, I like the sound of making that daddy-daughter time, and perhaps making that mummy-book time too!
ahh the weight loss thing... well done Cherished on your weight loss. I think I have put some back on again :( I don't own scales, but put on a pair of trousers this morning that "appear to have shrunk in the wash!" (I wish!). So it's healthy eating here from now on!
vaccinations - well, I am pro vaccination. I worked with several clients that developed panencephaly (severe developmental disabilities) from getting measles, and there was a child in our area that died last year from whooping cough. DD has had hers, and she was a bit more sleepy that day and night, but fine. She only cried for a second from the needles, probably cried more from the oral vaccine in fact.
Cherished - yes, I have been thinking about the next baby too. My original plan was just to "go for it" no contraception at all, but then I worried that if I had a HORROR pg like with DD (ie perpetual MS and clicky hips), then I really wouldn't get to enjoy her time being a baby. So I decided to exercise restraint - for the time being anyway ;)
HPL - did your exercise plan come to fruition? I decided to housework for mine. DH usually does the vacuuming, but the other day, when he came home from work, he looked after DD, and I did the frantic vacuuming for an hour, yep super hyperactive vacuuming, worked up a sweat, I figure that's got to count for something. Haven't done it since though! LOL! Yes, I really need to try and get out and do some exercise too....... Oh and Cass, we have dog & cat hair snowballs too!
Cassius - how is Marta's cold now? I hope she is getting better! Oh and 'lady cranky pants' "cranky pants" is the pet name I have for DH! oh no, you have the snot monster too??
teething: HPL - I have been wondering about teething too! DD is sucking her hands, my shirt and talk about drool!!!! my SIL (DH sis) cut her tooth at 6w! :o I hope that's not in the genes!
Hi Mamaspice!
amber necklace: cherished - does yours have the magnetic clasp? I am trying to find one with the magnetic clasp?
AFM - well, after asking you all about wrapping, I forgot to add my bit!
When I had first asked (about 3 weeks ago), we had been wrapping but stopped as DD was unwrapping it. A friend suggested I try bigger wraps, and they worked! she stayed wrapped (and asleep for longer). Out of all the wraps I have (loads and loads), only about five of them are what I would consider big enough - and she only weights 4.5 kg at the moment! why can't they just make wraps a standard size, or at least call them S, M, L??? A bit like the sizing of the baby clothes - about as consistent as it is on our clothes! :wall:
oops - gotta dash - duty calls!
hi girls!
Milly: AWESOME to hear from you!!! I so hear ya on the wraps! we have only got about four stretchy ones that are big enough (i like being able to fully wrap it under her ITMS) and then only about the same again of non stretchy muslin ones (we do a double decker for miss houdini...stretchy first then muslin over that).
Cherished: i am so in envy of your sewing achievements! has it been hard to learn? i really want to get a sewing machine...but am worried that if i fail abysmally then i have wasted money on the machine...arghh! i have been umming and ahhing for years now....
MamaS: i shared with my 2 cousins when i lived there and they were brother and sister...they shared until he went to highschool...then he got too 'cool' to share with his little sister lol. so i reckon you have time up your sleeve in that sense. also our neighbours kids (boy and a girl) share and they are 3 years apart in age with the girl being the eldest...and they have done well (they are now 3 and 6).
AFM: well finally got DD in for her vaccinations (minus the rotavirus). all went well until DH got his whooping cough booster and passed out  in a huge room full of mums and babies he's there being attended to with his feet in the air and a lollipop being shoved in his mouth bahahahaha! everyone was in hysterics laughing it was sooooooooo funny LOL!
Cherished - Sorry didnt want to barge in here and talk all about me! ha ha. But yes we are doing well. Chloe was born at 3kg and now at 8 weeks old she is close to 6 kg. The commuity midwife said she is 'eating for Africa'. Little chubba. She goes to sleep at night at about 8pm then I give her a dreamfeed at around 11:30 and she goes through to around 2am. But then after that she always wakes at 4 am for some reason. Just starts crying. I pick her up and she promptly falls back to sleep without a feed or anything and sleeps until about 5:30. Then she is WIDE awake. Hoping she can learn to go from 2:30 until maybe 6:30 at some point and that she wont need the dreamfeed. FX
Having said that - she got her immunisations yesterday too. Boy did she scream the doctors office down. Brought tears to my eyes! She was exhausted after that and slept about 4 hours but was then really grizzly in the afternoon and last night was terrible. She woke every 2 hours. When I watched her she was obviously in pain as she would kick her little legs and then wake up with a pained cry. A little better today though but the jab spots are obviously still bothering her.
Cas - oh no your poor DH! I know I shouldnt laugh but it did make me chuckle that it was him you had to worry about after all. lol
better go and get the washing in and the next load out before she wakes..
hello my lovelies!
Cherished: what a spunk your wee man is! just gorgeous!
Fuzzy: awww poor wee poppet! Marta also cried for a few seconds there...but it felt like an eternity...especially as the nurse thought the best way to deal with her crying was to shake bells in her face...ahhhh thanks but NO thanks! my daughter is very chilled and really doesnt need to develop an innate fear of bells lol. boob worked the charm!
Hope that everyone is well!
here we are all good. even survived an Ikea run today  picked up a new baby bath (DH broke yet another one...this will be the 3rd...yes, the 3rd lol). i am still a bit of a snot monster, but Marta is well and truly hale and hearty. she also has slept the last two nights pretty much through...so am lapping it up for all it's worth. the other night was 7.30 to 4.30 and last night she went down at 6.30 (which is earlier than normal) and woke briefly at 9.30 for a speed feed (:)) then slept through again until 4.30! ahhhh catching those zzzzzs is so precious..and now that i have said that she will be up every two hours tonight
Hi ladies!
Cassius - that is so funny about your DH!!!!
We have no problems with the night-time sleeping - DD goes down about 8.30, and wakes about 5.00am. I did try a dream feed about 11.00pm, but it didn't make any difference as she only has a few sucks. Having said that, she'll only sleep for 50mins during the day, with very little play time as she seems to feed for her entire up time, except of course when she cries. Our "arsenic hour" seems to go from about 4 or 5 to about 8pm! I don't mind getting up at night - infact I prefer it to our current days! fingers crossed this won't last!
Hi Ladies!!!
Glad to hear everyone is doing great - on the most part - ;-D
Nothing much to report here just wanted to stopped in and say hi, so HI!!!! Audrey still the little angel she has always been... Last 2 days she was a little unsettled but that's coz of her toothy-pegs coming through... My goodness teething is not fun, lots of cuddles from mummy and daddy, when he's home from work, he's started to work 9 day fortnights so he can spend Fridays with us .... Love family time....
We got our first giggle the other day, but of course nothing since, for the life of me I can't remember how I made her laugh and desperately want her to do it again!! Mmmm what a boring post....
Vaccination talk - check
Wrapping - check
sleep - check
Oh I know - work - the dreaded subject of when returning to work - bubs is 10wks old so that means I have 6 more weeks til I have to go back to work :-( I get very anxious thinking about anyone else looking after bubs - mum will have her Mondays, n she'll be at work tuesday, wednesday, n Thursday Fridays I won't be working til July so we'll spend it together..
Have any of you lovely ladies been thinking of returning to work ??? Or dreading the thought of returning...
HPL, I have to return to work in January too. DH is having the first 3 weeks of January off so Brock will start daycare at the end of January. I've got mixed feelings about it. Especially cause he isn't the best day sleeper. But unfortunately financially I have to go back in January. Well unless we win lotto, Lol.
i really need to get back to "work" too. (finishing the thesis = no $$). i am conflicted, i really want to finish and begin my new career journey but also just would like to have more time with just enjoying Marta. i missed so much last time with Leila cause the stupid PND took away so much. but i guess i have to just learn a lesson in gratitude that i am PND free and it is beautiful and life will be beautiful, because that's what i make it ITMS...hope i'm not coming across to airy fairy on that one lol!
Milly: wow i am jealous of your bubbas sleeping! we too only tend to get an hour mebbe hour and half max day sleeps...but no sleep throughs lol! our average is still a feed overnight. a hard night has 2 feeds and boy do i feel it then...
Mama: no doubt the carers will be loving and give him lots of cuddles during the day to get him to sleep. i remember with leila that they used to wrap her and bounce on the fitball and then put her in the hammock...whereas at home she would just want to be wrapped and put in the cot lol! they'll find their own way at kindy
AFM: we still have a snot monster lurking. it is weird! we all seem to get better then another day we all wake up snotty. argh! enough already! i guess it is the curse of childcare really huh?
Marta has also 'found' her left hand. so cute! she is now staring at it like no tomorrow and trying to grab things. of course she totally misses but it is so cute!
other than that we are all travelling along nicely. just enjoying the time...
what are you guys all doing for christmas??
oh and a big hello to all the mamas we havent heard from in awhile! renson, muminalice...we miss you!
Hi everyone.... Can i just jump straight to me today before my head explodes :( my sweet little man must be having his 9 week growth spurt and has been grumpy all day :crying: Yesterday was a perfect day by ourselves and today is the total opposite. Last night he fed every 2 hours and instead of being satisfied with one boob he had both and then today he had one short nap mid morning and it's taken me until 4pm to get him down for his lunch time nap... needless to say the tiredness just amplified anything else that was going on in his body and he's been crying lots. To make things worse I'd invited over one of the mums from my parents group which was lovely to see her and her DS but I felt so distant cause my mind was on DS the whole time and trying to soothe him and put him down and then he wouldn't settle then I had him up again etc etc meanwhile her little one didn't make a sound LOL anyway now DS is finally asleep his nighttime routine will be all over the place so who knows how he will go tonight :( luckily DH will be home soon and all day tomorrow to help me out.
Question: what washing detergent to you all use? Anything that is great for sensitive skin?
fuzzy your DD is eating heaps! I think DS was 3.1kg at birth and at 8 weeks was 5.49kg hope she's feeling better after her shots.
Cas no need to envy my sewing skills as they are limited! lol I haven't sewn anything since I was 18 so it's fair to say that sewing around the edges of square bits of material may be my limit  na seriously it's easy. It can with a guide as to threading it and the bobbin and a guide to all the stitches and what they are good for etc so it's pretty easy really. I think down the track I will end up giving a skirt a go but I'd say that'll be about it unless I have a pattern or something for a really easy top??? I also didn't want to buy on incase I wasted my money which is why I was over the moon when MIL gave me one as a baby present as I'd wanted one since I found out I was pregnant. You make perfect sense re the PND and life being beautiful because that is how you make it. I get sad often thinking about the horrible things in the world and I cry and cry being so thankful that I create my life to be wonderful and pray that nothing bad ever happens to my family... then I have to pull myself out of it and remember that I am creating a beautiful life . Such a shame the snot monster is still around. Back a couple of weeks ago when DH had a cold and then I kinda got it I was dreading DS picking it up but fortunately he stayed well, it can't be much fun when everyone is sick :(
HPL I really don't want to go back to work, I cry thinking about handing over my baby for someone else to look after.... I don't think I could physically do it, maybe if I just loved my job or something but no way I am going to do it. I should be able to go back to my old job on the days that DH is home and he can look after bub, I would need to express a couple of feeds for those days so I guess it's possible. If my boss won't work a roster like that than I'd just get another job where I can choose my days. At this stage I would be due to go back Feb or March (lord I can't remember lol) I can extend that until September though so I will see what happens with our finances.
MIlly :hello: hi honey great to hear from you, DS seems to get ansy really early, around 5pm and goes down hill fast! I try to get him in the bath at about 5:30 so that he's on the boob at 6 and then goes to bed but sometimes he just gets so tired that he will cry until I put him down so bath, boob etc happen around 5pm and bed asap :o I also prefer nights to the days, unless we have a good day kwim but at night at least he feeds, nappy change and back to sleep so I know what to expect but during the day it's just lots more 'work' funny though as when we 1st got home from hospital I dreaded the nights, my how things change.
Christmas Not sure yet what we are doing, DH has 4 days off starting on christmas eve or christmas day? we will most likely see his mums side of the family for lunch and then hang out at home for the evening and have a family bath n nice cool water cause it'll be boiling hot no doubt. In the morning I think I'd like a huge buffet breakfast at our house with fresh juice pancakes, toast, fruit etc :) I have bought a new christmas tree though and can't wait for it to arrive. It's a white one and only 150cm tall, i did have a big green one but it's tooooo big to look nice in our house as we don't have a corner to put it in so the new one will sit next to the tv I think. I've also bought some new fairy lights and might go shopping for new decorations too
MamaSpice: Trust me I work in Child Care, the people at the centre will fall in love with your little man and think he's adorable! They will be able to help so much with getting him into a daytime sleep routine, so don't worry about that aspect of things. It's the hardest on the mummies leaving their bubbas with others, he might be great for the first week, then cry a little when you leave the next week, BUT on the days he does cry, by the time you are at your car, probably crying yourself :) he will have stopped crying and be getting lovely huggs.... It won't take too long before he forms an attachment with his carers at the centre. :) I hope that helps... If you have any other questions let me know, it's what I do for a living:)
Cass: I would love to be able to stay at home with Audrey for a whole year and continue with my study, but we need the $$$, so study is part time, work part time, mummy full time!! :) What is your thesis about??
Cherished: Sounds very similar to my day last week, bub has started teething :( How did he end up sleeping that night?? Sounds like he was really hungry having both boobs, maybe with a nice full tummy her stayed asleep for you... I hope he did..... Did I read correct that your bub was 3.1kg born and 5.49kg at 8 weeks? WOW that's a fantastic growth!! Well Done Bubba!!Audrey was 3.1kg born and 4.4kg at 8wks!! She is a petite, tiny yes, but she was only 55cm at 8wks too, so not under weight, just a tiny bubba! Its great that you and DH can work together and alternate the days you work! We're trying to work out that DP can be home every other Friday, we'll see how it goes. But its not that big of a drama as she'll be going to the same kindy as I work at...
CHRISTMAS: Well I had my MIL over on the weekend, and she TOLD me that Christmas will be at her daughters (my SIL) this year and that SHE HAS decided that ever 3 years we WILL be driving down to her place for Christmas.. I'm not bothered by that at all, I just love how she TELLS me and DP what we're doing, instead of I don't know ASKING!! lol - it's just one of those things, MIL I wish I was lucky like my brothers wives, they all love my Mum, probable because my mum isn't the typical MIL, she has the WORST MIL ever, poor Dad lol - he knows it too!!
I have different plans though, LMAO, it's Audrey's first Christmas so that trumps everything.. We're going to put the tree up together on Wednesday next week, has to be the 1st of Decemeber, but...... you may think I'm weird, I know others do, but each year I have to have a theme and stick to it, as in ONLY Silver and Purple decorations, with matching wrapping paper for the presents. Don't get me started on the presents either, I love LOVE LOVE wrapping presents, to they have to be perfect, if the shape is too hard, like a ball, I'll go out and buy a box that will fit it, and wrap it that way... I honestly just love Xmas, it's always had wonderful memories attached to it! No matter what's happening in my family, we always have Christmas together, whether it be the 25th or 27th of Decemeber, all of us, which is 15 in my immediate family, get together and enjoy food, drinks, laughter and presents!!
Can you tell how much I enjoy it LOL!! Can not wait for Audrey to understand the Christmas means to us, not just Santa and presents and all that jazz, but family... awwww a tear I my eye, I'm a sad sack!! Well on that note I am outta here!!!
Bye Ladies!!!!
Cherished: omg, i wished we lived in the same town lol! we are having a SHOCKING few days here too...i feel like i am looking after a 2-3 week old baby atm...we have been having long days with only catnaps and nights of waking EVERY TWO HOURS :o. in fact this is worse than the newborn 2-3 week stage  i just wanna have a good nights sleep!! i got sooooo comfy in our one wake-up routine for the last 6 weeks that this is just shocking! but i am telling myself that it is a growthspurt and that she will be good as gold tomorrow bahahahaha! i can live in hope...
i too went out with a friend this morning and TBH i cannot really recall what we talked about. DD was restless and well, i was shagged. just wishing to be home and in my bed or at least lying on a blanket outside under the tree...
oh and our tree is also a teeny one lol! we live in a tiny victorian terrace so no big gorgeous pine tree for us...but i am working on doing a massive light show lol! ok, so maybe just some icicle lights from the verandah :p
HPL: that is so cool that you guys have a good christmas tradition. i am jealous. now that our family all live so far apart it has wavered in the last few years. not to mention that we ALWAYS have to travel to them...never do they want to come here  (sound familiar lol?!). BUT this year is different and i am sooo excited! my Opa is visiting (its his first christmas without Oma) so the tree is going up, the prawns are being ordered and i am so excited! yay! presents under the tree! and this will really be the first christmas where Leila will really start to remember stuff...so exciting! that said, it will also have some sadness as christmas last year was the last time that i saw my Oma alive...so i dont know, i guess when the time actually comes it will be full of emotions...but hopefully mostly wonderful ones and lots of memories etc etc.
the thesis? well, it looks at the media management practices of liberal democratic societies in times of conflict and/or political unrest. i am using Australia in the Asia Pacific as a case study and broader global movements feed into it (so US in iraq etc etc). basically i look at the use of propaganda lol!
ok, better go, Marta is asleep and i should probably just vege out and relax in case tonight is also a tough one. we also have the builder in for the next week putting up the wall for the 3rd bedroom . but does mean that i dont have free access to my couch for R&R :(
