my Oma has a punctured lung. when she fell over yesterday from the OD she broke some ribs and one punctured her already shoddy lungs. she is in ICU and the whole family is flying up. i'm not sure when i will fly up. leila's birthday party is meant to be this sunday and i have a massive review at uni (although this could be postponed). and we are flying out to italy on Sunday week. oh gosh it always pours.

    Happy Birthday Miss E!!!!

Clare - oh, you poor thing, it certainly is all happening there. Big hugs.

Arte - can we see pictures of the 4WD cake? I wouldn't even know where to start! I don't think there are molars happening here. I'm just putting it down to the lighter mornings. She did have very pink cheeks yesterday, but no sign of fever. This morning was 5:40. Not helped by my phone battery beeping away at 3:30 either!!

Jaz - I do like the idea of hopping into bed for cuddles! Will talk about it more with DH over the weekend and try and make a decision on what to get.

Happy Birthday Missy E and William who i missed!!
arte - its funny how theyre so different isnt it? we are finding that with Billy, so different to Asha.. Glad you had a good time on his bday i know what u mean about not believing theyre 2, im in denial lol i havnt even been shopping for missy moos birthday yet!
clare - im so sorry to hear about ur oma and opa.. i dont really know what to say except biig :hugs: hope things start looking up soon..
trill - thanks for ur reply in the other thread.. think im just paranoid, hes slowed down a bit now think i just wanted someone to tell me it wasnt normal coz i was so tired waking every 3hrs in the night lol he went a little longer last night..
jaz - aww thats so cute, and yeh at the same time scary lol atleast at this age its all pretty innocent
re toddler beds, ashas cot turns into one but once William is too big for the bassinette we will buy her a normal single bed..
things are going ok here.. Ashas still sick, the nights are awful shes waking up crying and coughing and she now has dioreah too.. i think thats more to do with the fact shes not interested in eating much except those pureed fruit pouches coz she has a sore throat.. Williams doing well, growing lots, he had a huuuge spew last night and i started to worry he was getting sick but he seems fine today so fingers crossed..

Clare my dear - postpone your uni thing, change your party plans or your flight times, do whatever you have to right now to get through. Nothing is so set in concrete that it can't be changed, and I sense you are going to need a safety valve somewhere in your plans over the next few weeks. Am sending lots of loving green healing light for your Oma and Opa together, just heartbreaking for Opa too. Does this mean they will now have access to support services/residential care that they weren't able/willing to access before now?

Thanks for your birthday wishes for my gorgeous 2 year old Missy E - it doesn't feel very birthday-esque just yet - DH left too early this am for pressies. The FDC lady gave her one when we arrived this morning but she ripped off all the paper and didn't seem to understand that meant the thing inside was now hers LOL. Though she is very excited about the patty cakes LOL. Little year-of-the-piggy girl.

Arte - I'm sure W thought the cake was wonderful! And I bet you could spend hours gazing at your beautiful girl .

Trill and PP - enjoy the get together!!

MM- sending you massive essay vibes - and I can personally recommend the mixed pack of M&Ms as the ultimate essay-completion tool LOL.

Noni, sounds like you're all worn out too - not surprising . I hope A's better soon, not fun on the sicky-roundabout, is it? Have you tried her with some soft savory foods like soft-scrambled eggs, overcooked noodles, cheesy mashed potato, etc? It might help with the tummy.

i swear im speaking another language when i say no! asha just keeps whinging for the same things over and over again today despite me saying no.. shes a little better and i want her to play instead of sitting infront of the tv all day but shes begging to watch it and i am sooo over it!! i just wanna give her a big smack but i know shes still sick im just frustrated! williams been a sook too so that makes it worse..
md - shes not allowed to have dairy.. i forget why if it was the throat infection, probably the tummy bug.. i thought it would be ok but the other day we gave her yoghurt and she did a huge vomit, all over my dinner and pants that was great!

Oh Clare hunny I really hope you are able to work something out and get to see her. Any more news overnight at all?

    Happy Birthday Rory!!!

I brought the laptop with me and am using the motel's wireless, apparently it's not secure so I don't know if I should use it or not ROFL. Anyway, met the gorgeous PP yesterday and OMG J s such a cutie pie! N didn't come as he was having some grandparent time. MD, we couldn't go to Pizazz as they were closed by then, but we had a coffee and then went to Telopea park to let Alister burn off some energy LOL as he kept getting off his chair and running around which isn't great when you're outdoors having a coffee. Then Alister and I went to Civic for some late night shopping. PP - he fell asleep in the car and slept most of the time we were there which was great for me

PP, it was so lovely to meet you and thanks again for the coffee

So the plan for today is heading out for brekkie and then trying to get a cab to floriade as the parking is limited so I don't want to drive only to find I can't get a park within cooee of the place. Depending on how tired Alister is after that I might do the tourist thing.

Catch you all later and have a great weekend!

Happy birthday to Rory!! Ahhh reading Renee's status update on FB made me all emotional lol.

Clare - Thinking of you hope you have sorted something out.

Trill - I am JEALOUS that you & PP got to meet, I would love to meet all of you girls.

M still sick and grumpy today, if anything today she has gotten worse and now being the weekend my doc surgery isnt open. I put her back to bed at 10.30am which is unheard of here and she fought it but she was sooo sick & tired it didnt take too long to nod off. I guess I can always take her down to PMH if need be, but she doesnt have a temp etc. Would you guys go down to the hosp or just wait it out a bit? Dh thinks its just a common cold & to wait it out. I dont know? She isnt a happy chappy at all.
To top it off DH is going down to stay with the in laws tonight, as during the week we did make plans to do that. However now I wont be going with M sick as she is, but I just know its going to cause some issues again. Ahhh. If DH doesnt speak up & stick up for me this time thats it I'll ring his neck!

Happy Birthday Rory, little man! Hope you enjoy your day!

Well just typed a huge post and somehow managed to vorpal it off into evaporato land mid-sentence, so will try again. Utterly utterly exhausted today (feel like someone has squeezed me thru one of those old fashioned washing machine wringers, I think they are called a mangle?!) so this post won't be as good as the one I lost BUT I've already put all that energy into it, so you'll get the energy of it even if you don't get to read it!

Clare - my dear - so sorry to hear about your Oma, I was so worried that would be the case when I read your first post the other day. Wishing you every blessing and godspeed to get you there where you need to be when you need to be. Still sending love and healing for your Opa and Oma both, I'm sure your Oma has felt all the love holding her up since Thurs evening.

Noni - I too am talking a different lang, tho I have noticed its worse when E is not well. She's naughtier for me than everyone else too. I've had to put her in the hallway a few times for time out - cracker tantrum yesterday at FDC and I'm just too flat to deal with having to drag her around physically to make her behave.

MM - you need to find a weekend/afterhours GP. I always had a back-up dr to take DD1 too when our main dr was closed, however our new dr is open longer and always bulkbills so v. easy to get in there now.

Trill - pity you missed the Pizzazz hotcakes experience BUT I know you will be thinking of me as you tiptoe thru those tulips today! Hope it's a lovely day and BTW isn't PP fabulous, and PP isn't Trill fabulous! That's why I love you all the way I do. V. jeally as I haven't had any meetups with any of our new Sept thread bubs.

Cally. Ugh. 5.30 is still nighttime, even when I am awake in a steroid-induced-ceiling-staring session.

SPEAKING OF WHICH today I took my very last roids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So only one more crack cocaine withdrawal session and it will be DONE. I can tell DH is really excited about it being over, he's talking about getting me a bicycle for christmas (which is laughable ATM because just standing in one place holding my handbag is too much for me right now, have to put the handbag down ROFL) but still nice to think about getting my jooce back.
