Noni, relieved it's not CP tho rashes are never nice. Poor little chook scratching so hard she fell out of bed. :(

Trill have you tried those mortein mozzie things - it's like a little pad that you put inside this diffuser thing that plugs into a powerpoint (mortein?). I don't need them here but in Darwin they were a lifesaver (those big ol pointy nose dengue fever mozzies know how to get thru the flywire no probs).

Cally we're talking about swimming lessons after seeing my cousin's DD who is about the same age splashing about in the pool - she's been doing swimming for ages and you can really tell with her confidence & everything.

MP - really hoping it's not whooping cough, that sounds so nasty. I hope everything goes smoothly with your trip and everything. You sound pretty organised. As usual. :)

Well my girls went and stayed at their aunty's for a couple of days while DH and I went away to a Very Nice B&B on the coast. Highly recommend it. I came home "glowing" or so my sister tells me. Musta been the fresh sea air or something ;).

Speaking of the seaside, Clare your trip to Luna park sounds like loads of fun. There are rides and a horse drawn tram etc down on the coast here at Victor Harbor, was just saying to DH that we should head down during the hols. LOL at L's merrygoround phobia! :)

OH yeah MD, I'm sure it was the fresh sea air ;) twilight zone moment coming up, but I got your package today (and MG how tiny and precious they are, I kept looking at them for ages ROFL - can't wait for Sunday to have cake now and use them) and for some reason I thought that the two of you needed to get away and reconnect a bit. And yep, I do have the mortein ones, I brought them the other day as woolies had them on special. so the kids have those in their rooms and then I burn mozzie coils as that covers the rest of the house but they are still getting bitten but I'm thinking that it happens in the late arvo when they are outside.

Arte, I can't believe he has gotten to this age without scraping a knee!!!! If I had $1 for everytime A has had a cut bruise or scrape I would be rich. And LOL at the democracy. Sometimes he is too smart for your own good ROFL.

I meant to say we constantly have bottles returned because they are too hot/cold, even though we always microwave them for the exact same time. I feel like a waitress at a bad coffee house lol. I am also amazed W made it this far without a scraped knee - when I say he is a very cautious child I am not kidding lol

MD, I was thinking of you and H the other day as W spewed forth a gigantic monologue with one big breath. I can accept that it is my comeuppance from being a very talkative child myself though lol

If he is like this now then I am in for an ear full when he starts school and gets a case of the know-it-alls LMAO!

Not wanting to jinx us, but we now seem to have 8pm no fuss bedtimes!!! I am really happy. He gets up around 8am, no naps, then bed at 8pm. It all just fell into place over the last week. Unfortunately Amelia seems to have hit the 4 month sleep regression and now won't sleep in her cot for day sleeps and is waking early in the night and then another few times after I bring her to bed. Hopefully she sorts that out soon!

Well we went to Australia Zoo yesterday and the kids had a ball. Kids and DH all good ATM The boys are off to C & K Kindy on thursdays and fridays starting the 28th Jan and for the first time I will have to be packing lunches, they will still be at day care on wednesdays. OMG they will be off to school next year and I am keeping my fingers crossed they get into our first choice of school.. what and adventure that will be. lol

LOL Arte at being a waitress in a bad coffee house. Some days I'm a chef at a bad restaurant LOL Cracking right up at W's monologue moment...fortunately for you he developed on a theme. With DD1 it was just (and still is) the same thing over and over...she feels so good saying whatever it is, invariably you get it more than once LOL.

Leanne - so good to see you hun...would love to take my kids to Australia Zoo but TBH I think DD1 would get more of a thrill than DD2 because she's the same age as Bindi so they kinda grew up together. Wow kindy and school...how time flies. Packing lunches hmmmm that gets old pretty fast. I had a bit of a moment the other day, we were clearing out DD1's room (again, it's perpetually on the brink of total chaos) and we came across the patchwork library bag I made before she started school. I was so distraught at the time because I had just taken a fulltime job which meant I wasn't going to be able to pick her up from school, pretty much EVER...I poured all my love into that dang library bag LOL. Anyway it's going in the box I'm keeping for her of keepsakes.

Not much happening here. L is a super dooper chatter box and constantly has me laughing. His new thing is to tut and sigh and since it always makes me laugh he is constantly doing it. We are off to the beach to fly his new kite this arvo lets hope that there is some wind.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jaz and her family today. Little H is just soooo super cute and J & Z were so good taking L for a swim. I had a lovely morning, Jaz makes a pretty good banana cake too.... even in a shonky oven lol. L starts childcare tomorrow, I feeling a little nervous about it.

Oz, how did L go at daycare? I bet he had a ball!

MD, your weekend away sounded lovely.

Ginger, how is the cross trainer going? I think that I might need to get an exercise machine and just jump on when I have a spare 5 mins because doing something out of the house just isn't going to happen.

I sent an email to the mothers group ladies inviting them on a bush walk this morning and there must be some seriously bored mums around atm because about 8 of them showed up with nearly 20 children between us. It was quite good though, getting a bit stir crazy with all the activities on a break for the holidays.

I think that W has been watching too much television. Yesterday he was referring to himself as Postman Pat lol - "Postman pat loves this corn, Postman Pat dropped his knife etc" It was so funny.

arte-the cross trainer is great for just quick jump ons when you get 5 mins. i try to do 10 mins about 4 times a week..not much, i know...but still better than nothing at all iykwim? i used to find going for a walk with just L very easy but since i've had J it's become impossible. one or both of them will crack it and i end up hating it. they're happy to watch a dvd while i get on the cross trainer though.

Arte - how's Postman Pat going today? :lol: Your idea of the walk was genius...I'm sure there are a few other things you could organise along these lines if everyone else is sitting around bored...if they work out what a good ideas woman you are your social life will crank up in no time!

Good luck with L going to CC, Oz...how did it all go...just remember it can be a bit tricky but they settle in quickly. Jeally that you got to meet our Jazah!!!

Ginger good for you working away on teh cross trainer...I still don't have my rebounder but not so sure my surgeon would approve of bouncing just yet LOL. There's a post-surgery exercise thing by the YWCA down the hill...planning to join up when they start the new term BUT it's pool based so requires public appearance in bathers :o!

We had some very old and very good friends visit us yesterday...our kids always get on great, you would think we saw there every week not once a year LOL. Even Missy E jumped right in & helped their eldest DS find all the lego bits he needed for the pirate ship LOL. I reckon most of our kids would get on like that...just because we're all kindred spirits, kwim?

md- i reckon if we all had a big sep07 belly buddies meet-up our kids would all be like old friends! i feel like i know them all so well, even though i've only met a couple of them. i reckon lewis would hook up with jaz's hannah or maybe Katie, but they would need to fight with luella over him, but then i think luella has a slight crush on jimmy LOL......and Alister would be a good match with Leila- country boy with city girl LOL maybe Missy E with Logan? it would be really funny to see them all together though don't you think?

CC wasn't tp bad, I wasn't overly impressed when I dropped him off but when we went to pick him up he didnt want to leave lol. As awful as it probably sounds I was in a much better mood yesterday then I have been for the last few weeks, so was L. I think we need a little break from each other every now and then.

I just went to Target and bought half the store only to come home and find a letter form the bank saying our mortgage repayments were going up lol.

DH bought a car this morning - YAY!! It's a couple of years old, but I'm really over the other one. I think mainly because he's been looking for months so I was a bit over the whole car search thing too. It's worked out well - it is in Canberra and my parents are coming down today to visit some other friends down here so he can go back with them on Saturday to pick it up.

Ooh, I like the sound of this matchmaking - I think K has a bit of a thing for Logan, she was quite into some pictures of him I was looking at on FB the other day! But I reckon she and William would make a good couple too! She's very good at pointing out bugs to us so she could help him when he catches them!

ginger - can't update you on Big Love yet, I haven't seen it. Hopefully our recording worked.

DD is having a sleepover tonight and so DH and I are going out for a nice meal - it was our 5 year anniversary last week. I think he is most looking forward to his sleepin tomorrow though!!

AFM: doing ok here. had a *bit* of a freakout yesterday about the whole 'oh my i am having a baby and will lose my night of sleeping again'...the fact that i am so tired from the pg really drove it home lol!
Leila has been going stir-crazy over the last few days due to the heat and not being able to do much. and unfortunately on the crazy hot day here in melb we just veged out in front of the TV for the most part soaking up the aircon and now she reckons TV is a must all the time...:wall: so have cracked down on it and trying to get her back in a normal pattern.

oh i thought of another cute couple- noah and asha, too cute!

i just told lewis that we were going to McDonalds for lunch tomorrow and he has gone and got his shoes on and his money and is waiting by the car for me......

clare- you get used to the sleepless nights again and they're not too bad...besides, you might get a good sleeper. my friend has a 2 wk old who sleeps for 12hrs at night.

G lmao thats gold and L would do the exact same thing, he loves chippen nunnets (chicken nuggets) and he can see Maccas before we do.

i swear they have some sort of subliminal hold on kids....everytime a maccas ad comes on L will stop what he's doing and stare at the tv. he has the biggest tantrums now when i go past our local one..not good! i blame DH LOL

lol asha dosnt like mcdonalds.. when we go past it she says "no donalds" no lie!! lol
ughhh its been a crappy week here.. sorry i havnt been on just been so stressed i feel like im gonna bust!! asha split her head open in her first serious injury, we had to take her to get it glued.. poor dh freaked out and i had to keep sending him off to get me things because he was working her up.. i just grabbed billys burp towell and chucked it straight on, shes on abs now cause she went head first into a brick retaining wall so not the cleanest and then the towell not the cleanest thing either but hey it did the job.. ughhh then the other night billy wouldnt stop winging and we couldnt figure out what was wrong with him.. ended up getting him out of bed and tried to settle him for ages till i spotted his toes were purple! i looked down and he had hair wrapped really tightly around 2 of his toes and it was so tight we needed scissors to get it off!! i kept thinking about waking up with two of his toes laying at the end of his cot! god!! but wait theres more lol!! the next morning i got out of bed to the smoke alarm going off!! i ran out to the loungeroom where asha was watching tv and the house was filled with really thick black smoke! i went round the corner to the kitchen and there was a fire on the stove! dh must have knocked the stove and turned it on getting ready for work coz its really touchy.. there was formula spilt and the plastic bottle sterilizer really close as well so that went up too.. managed to put the fire out with a towell and turn everything off etc etc.. sooo glad we have a smoke alarm coz by the time the smoke would have got to me at the other end of the house the whole kitchen would have been on fire atleast and asha was in that end of the house by herself :( i still feel a bit in shock.. cant sleep properly and cant stop checking the stove lol..
anyway so thats been my crazy week, hope everyones having a better time than we are atm!!

I'm loving the idea of our Sept 07 babies matchmaking get together ROFL...even tho we can speculate I'm pretty sure they would surprise us all. It's kinda weird, we have really close family friends whose eldest son is the same age as DD1 - they have always got on like best friends - even from early babyhood when kids don't usually even pay attention to each other - I do sometimes wonder how that will go in a couple of years when they're all hormonal - if it'll just be like bro/sis/old friend or if it'll turn awkward. I hope not.

Missy E does love her chippies but TBH I think she likes the fish n chip shop ones better than McD's so she often suggests we go to the 'chipsy shop' LOL.

Hey! It's been ages since I've posted. I'm still so busy you'd have no idea it was the holidays at all!

Noni, you poor thing, that would have given you a real fright on all 3 counts.

Swimming is going great. He is doing really well and likes to go under the water which is awesome because the other 3 hated to do that. He did have a meltdown yesterday though about 10mins into the lesson so we just left. No point making him stay while he's carrying on like that because it's not fair to the other kids in the group. And then he didn't wake till 8.20 today so I think he'd just hit his wall and was overtired. But today's lesson was great and he let the instructor sit him on the bottom of the big pool to get a dive stick. He takes a huge breath and holds his nose and away he goes LOL.

LOL at the macca's addicts. He is really *meh* with it because we only see it when we go somewhere that has one so we aren't driving past them all the time and if we do go to one, he's not that fussed about it. He eats his burger and chips, but he doesn't carry on about it, so long as he gets hot chips he's fine LOL

wow! noni, Thank goodness for smoke detectors is all i can say! how bloody scarey!

trill- lewis had a meltdown like that yesterday at the park and so i just left and came home and he had a massive sleep so i think he may have been overtired too. sometimes i forget how young they still are iykwim? and how tired they can get. A sounds like a great little swimmer now.

AFM: well, my freakout escalated and ended up getting DH to call our psychologist (the one who helped me through the PND last time). am feeling a million times better after seeing her and she advised me to avoid a hospital birth (due to the birth trauma of last time) as visiting it the other day is what set me off (classic PTSD apparently...yay for me lol). so it looks like homebirth for me! feel HEAPS better after this laid out, can breathe again!
Leila has been great lately and seems to be getting used to (and loving) her new Big Girl room at kindy. we have *issues* when trying to drag her home lol! we arrived on friday and she had set up all the dollies outside at the table and was cooking dinner for them...a lovely sand and pine cone concotion...lucky dollies LOL!

Wooo hoooo on the homebirth Clare..... so jealous lol. I am glad our feeling better. L sounds like such a delight.

Trillian sounds like A is doing great at swimming.

Cally what type pf car did you get? We are thinking about getting a bigger car.

Clare that is wonderful news about the hb and I'm really glad that you are OK now :hug: and how awesome you got a pic of her under the plane! We drive past it every single time we go to town and A always tells me it's there - just like the other three always did before him ROFL.

Cass, glad you called in your supports when you needed to...big gold star for you! Not surprised to hear visiting the hospital was a trigger...I visited the hospy when I was pg with E (wanted DH to know his way around) and they showed us the labour ward - the room was the same layout, same colour, same sort of chair etc in the corner as 1st time and I just wigged right out - that was after 9 years mind you - classic PTSD stuff alright. :hug: This birth will be sooo different.

Oz - boring weekend here too...were supposed to be going out to some greek festival but can't be bothered sitting in the car all the way there LOL. I should be out scouring the city for a celebrity sighting with my new idol Lance Armstong (I'm reading his book right now and ta-dah! he appears in Adelaide) LOL.
