We're getting a puppy!!!! A little kelpie ***** so we can pension off my old girl. We've not had a puppy since I got my dog and I'm not sure if I'm ready to have a puppy again LOL - my dog was a total PITA when she was a puppy and would pull clothes of the line and chew them up and chew through the garden hoses and she nearly didn't survive till adulthood but it is exciting at the same time and fun having a puppy again. Plus there is all the training to turn her into a working dog too. We wont get her for another few weeks though, she's only 3wks old atm.

Trill, yay for puppies - smoochy goodness there! So will your older dog retire to a basket on the porch?

Well I'm religiously taking my ABs and not a moment too late, it got *really* sore yesterday, but feeling a bit better today. Score: Intuition 1, Hospital 0.

Cass, Bahaha at House. God my life was a bit like a television show for a while there, wasn't it. How are you travelling, now you're a mumma to two?

Well we're all settling in for the X factor final today, barracking for Sally here. SSssh no one tell Arte who wins until she's had time to watch online...

My internet has been speed limited so I can't watch it in advance - screens tonight. I am not even sure who was in the final because I missed the end of last weeks episode. I am hoping that it was Mahogany that got the chop.
Hoping for a Sally or Altiyan win.

Trill, cool about the puppy. My old girl is getting a bit crapped out now but I am hoping she holds on for another year or two. I don't have time for a pup at the moment (and I don't like the survival odds with A loving animals as she does lol)

MD, glad you took the AB's in time. My Auntie in law had a MRSA infection after heart surgery that kept recurring over a couple of years - turns out someone left a swab inside her!

I got myself a bike a week ago and I have been getting out for a bit of exercise which is good. It is only 15 minutes or so, but it is better than nothing.

Arte - OMG your poor aunty! That should never ever happen, they are supposed to double count them going in and triple count them coming out. Yay for your pushbike! I would love a pushy, but I want a lady-cruiser, but they tend to make them for shorty-sized women, not us tallies. Plus then I will need to push through the fear and trepidation involved with actually getting back on LOL.

When's lunch? I might have to fly over for the day. That's if I can tear myself away from my laptop long enough

why don't we meet at the playground down the road at 11am and then move on up to the pub for a 12pm lunch?
sitting at the pub for an hour with no food sounds like hell to me

    mp- wish you could come!

cass- the park is on the left hand side of the main st- further along than the pub. i think it's called mackenzie park but i'll get back to you on that one

can anyone recommend me a good little kiddie type pool that i could put out on the deck for splashing around in on hot days?

just found poor leo in the (fake) microwave in the kids' kitchen. he wasn't in there for long luckily.

weather here is absolutely crazy. just had to drive up to the shops and had to put my car lights on to see through the think fog! we've been getting our septic tank pumped out this morning so the smell around here is not too pretty...

MP, will it all settle down for you over Christmas? Does your work close down for a while?

G, MIL brought years ago this inflatable pool that was probably 2 x 1 mts and only a foot deep if you filled it right up. It was really good. She brought it for herself to sit in during summer LOL.
