Trill, W got the same Hotwheels thing from IL's - loves it! It is a play with outside toy though because he can't resist squirting the water everywhere lol. I am glad your brother had a good Xmas after everything this year. Must be really hard for him without his dad.
Wishing my dear friends a very merry christmas. I hope you all have a joy filled day. You can all have a glass or two for me ok?
Arte- Glad the bikes were a hit! Is W riding without training wheels?! Go him!
Trill- Your poor mum, i hope they put on a good spread for her today. Sounds like a nice morning at your place.
It's a bit of a funny christmas here. The nationals celebrate but not really with gifts, so our present giving is kind of secret. It's a little strange, but we're having a big roast lunch with all the expats so that will be nice. The girls were sooooo excited this morning, i loved it more than them i think watching their faces as they opened their presents. I also got exceptionally spoilt with a pair of diamond ear rings. DH must have the guilts for years of crap or no presents.
JM, still training wheels, I was just impressed because he has never peddled before and picked it up so quickly. We went for a ride around 6-7 blocks and he managed the whole way by himself.
Got W to bed an hour early today to avoid the massive meltdown that was on its way lol
Well, both girls are asleep...and have been for a couple of hours i guess the excitement was a bit much lol!
the cubby was a hit, as was the lip gloss...which is officially forehead gloss
marta has been enjoying the jolly jumper i got her and squeals and cackles of delight are filling the dining room now when she is in it; especially when the dog runs past and bounces her
hope everyone has eaten to their hearts content and enjoyed the day with laughter and love
While speaking of dogs, we found out what the problem is with my dog. She's got a badly infected sore on her foot. It can happen sometimes when she's running in the paddock and treads on a rock or stick but it usually heals itself. Luckily we have some penicillin here for the ewes when they lamb and we can give it to the dog too, so last night DH had to cover her head with a blanket and hold her down while I jabbed her and then scrubbed her sore clean with dettol and boy did I feel bad for doing it. We thought she'd try to bite us when we let her go, but she just sat there a little stunned. We need to give her another 2 doses, but I don't know if she will trust us again to do it. She seems OK today though so it might have helped her.
Trill, she was 12. I have had her since I was 16. She went to Australia and back with us. William is quite upset. He has a photo of her and keeps saying "I have a picture, but I am sad about our real dog" and keeps asking why she died and crying. I feel so bad for him.
Trill, glad you found out what was wrong with your dog. She will forgive you.
