Pixie and SW - Your girls are such cuties! Those pictures are great!

It's so so so so sad. Her little boys ages were between my two. It makes you stop and treasure every moment cause you're not sure what's going to come around the corner.
I know that's real gloomy, but it's so true.

Mel - Lol @ your DS. That's funny. My DS1 is all attitude today. He's trying to boss me around more then usual.

SW - Wow. So much happening for you guys.

Belle - CUTE AVATAR! Looks fantastic. WOW 15 cases at the daycare? That's loads of cases. I hope Julia didn't get any of it. The whooping cough is going around here, and they actually had to close the daycare here cause of that. It's scary.

Missy - Lol @ Melissa watching you as you're reading the books and seeing your expressions. My sister was like that with these books I'm reading. I hope your DH feels better soon.

Lol! DS1 has started this thing where he answers his own question which what he thinks I'll reply with. Like he'll go 'What can I have to eat, Mum?" then before I answer he goes "Elijah stop being such a garbage guts."
Btw, I only said that to him once when all he wanted to eat non-stop was junk the other day. Hahahahaha.

Belle! Wasn't ignoring you, love. Was just in a rush! Hugs at ya =)

Tenny - lol - you've been moving house too!! If anything, this is easier. Interstate, so more excuse to make someone else deal with it and just give them money I think it will be harder when our house is built and ready for moving in to. It's only a 5 min drive away from where we're moving to now, so I'll prolly be doing countless trips back and forth to take all the small stuff myself. Gee, can't wait for that one. The house should rock, though! =)

Missy - am very excited to get there, but not so excited about the actual move... Will be great to have Alyssa around her cousins. We have quite a few friends here in Canberra with babies, but no family. Plus we have an awesome beach house to stay at in Adelaide (hubby's uncle owns it, lives overseas. It's his holiday pad, but he wants it to look "lived in" , so weekends will be fab!! =))) Hope Alyssa likes the beach!

Am happy - had a productive afternoon. Did lots of washing, went down the street to deal with lawyers (for the sale of this house) etc, and picked up Alyssa's laptop from the friend that we loaned it to! It's one of those OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) machines - can't wait until she's old enough to use it!! Mind you, will probably have gotten her about 4 new ones by then as new models are released Very cute and unbreakable!

Thats what I forgot in my last post - damn DS making me lose my concentration - Belle - I love your Avvy - it looks brilliant!!!

Now what else.. awfully distracted today - DS must be feeling a bit better cos he keeps torturing the cats. We're in old school cloth nappies today (flats) damn antibiotics giving him the runs...

SW - room at that beach house for 4 more?

Hey girls and bear.......Just realised I haven't been around since page 5!

Kell: I have heard that about not going out in the sun too....everything in moderation I think. I am bad in the sun I rarely use sunscreen and never wear a hat! But I am the opposite with Jayden, he's not allowed out without them. Love the santa sacks and the Santa pic!! I'll take a photo of Jayden's, I'll have to get one for Ashlea...My cousin does them and blankets etc....Ooo I'll take a pic of the kids blankets too. OMG @ your mother!!

Missy: Hope you and the boys are feeling better.

Kristy: The cake sounds great!! Go Kristy (re Big W), can't wait to hear if yoour get a reply! My niece went back to Kmart to make them give her a raincheck and they said..You can have one if you want but there's no guarantees you will get the DVD anyway! She didn't argue though (she's only 18) and I wasn't there. How did Isaac's test go? Did you get Santa pics done?

Pix: Thats great you got to visit SW!! Alyssa is so adorable isn't she?? Pics are great, Beth is a real cutie!!

Mel: How's Aricyn going? Naughty Miss M!! Ashlea did that last week at 4.30am! Love your weed LOL YAY!!! Move to Hervey Bay....Pweeeeze!! Yeah its about 1.5hrs I'd come visit you all the time!!

Mez: YAY for Izzy rolling! Thats great your DH got to see it before he left!

Feeb: How are you? Are you back at work or did you just go for the xmas party? Sounds nice!

Tenny: Happy 4mths Bubbablue!! That was terrible about the father and the 2 boys! I couldn't imagine what the mother is going through! I tear up when I hear stories like that when the kids are my kids ages....Like that swimming report the other night both girls that died were 2-3yr olds so so sad! LOL@ Elijah answering his qu's....J does it too....He asks to leave the table but at the end says okay or if he's in trouble, I say 1...he says 2..3...smack! Funnily enough he rarely gets the smack.

Belle: Hope Julia is ok....15 cases is alot!!

Sorry if I missed anyone....Jayden is meant to be sleeping but he is crying at his door so I better put him back in bed....Ooops and Ashlea is still sleeping, she hasn't had a feed since 3pm!!!

Tannis.. oh yes do take pics of Jayden's santa sack.. would love to see it. I love al Christmasy stuff! Ive also ordered some of the stockings for all of us.. you know the ones you hang on the window sil.. theyre coming from America. So once they come, will have to show them off too. Ooow yes take pics of the blankets too! Id love to get blankets done. My gf has got some embroided for her girls with their birth dates and theyre gorgeous.

Mel.. glad do hear A is on the mend! lol you stink woman. Oh i reckon.. i felt like a maid. Never again though! Im glad though my MIL is the complete opposite. As soon as she walks in the door she asks what she can do or how she can help. Even when she has a day off work she always calls and tells me if i need anything, or if i want to go out and want her to watch the kids, to give her a call. Ao really appreciate that.

Tenny.. oh it is so sad hey. Its always horrible hearing those types of tragities in the media. lol re Elijah.. cheeky monkey. How you feeling lately hun? Hows he behaving? Oh i know.. she would sit and smile or talk to Jesse but never got up and played with him or picked up Keira unless i asked her to. (she has 4 other grandkids so not like she doesnt know how to pick up a baby either). Ahh well.

Pixie.. cute pics! Aww poor Beth.. hope, if it is teething, those teeth come through soon and not prolong that pain for her. Yes i will be saying that next time thanks hun.

Missy.. haha as long as you do the washing up, whenever you want! lol. Awww what a sick bunch you are... hope youre all feeling better soon.

Had a killer headache this arvo.. gone now thank goodness.
Have a day of cleaning ahead tomorrow.. though the house aint that bad. Did all the washing today and cleaned our shower so least thats all done..
Might get an early night.. nite nite

    Mornin'

I wish I was more into the christmas spirit. Lol. Maybe I'll get there next month? :P

I so never knew about not putting sunscreen on babies. I've put it on Bubbablue a couple of times. I had a look on the tube of it and it doesn't even say anything about ages. Wtf?!?

Kell - I've been pretty good lately, thanks. Elijah hasn't been too bad actually. Some days are a nightmare, but those are days are getting better and we're not having so many of them in a row like before. How's Jesse going? Loving Keira to pieces still?
You'd think grandparents would be dying to play with/pick up their grandkids. Mine are. My dad tries to hide that he's dying to hold Haydie but you can see it. Lol.
    Have fun with the cleaning.

Tan - LOL @ J counting with you when he's in trouble. It's so hard not to smile or whatever when they do it. Elijah and I counted to 100 the other day alternatively and he only had a few little mistakes. I'm so proud of him.

Mel - I'm glad DS is feeling better.

SW - The little trips are what annoyed me the most, aswell as DP's lack of help. :P I'd never heard of that laptop thing before. What exactly is it? Elijah uses our laptop to play Gamehouse games. We play Iggle pop together. Lol.

We're just waiting for DP to come home so we can get our immunsations. Yippee
It's a pretty quiet day for us today. It's preschool dayyyy! YAY!!!!!!!!

everyone. Hope you all have a fantastic day + weekend.
MIL will be here tonight so I won't be around for a few.

    xx
Lotsa errors with the site today for me.

The OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) machine is probably better known as the $100 laptop - they were pretty big in the news last year. The idea behind them being a cheap to produce laptop so that EVERY child can have one. They have been getting distributed to poor areas where computer education for kids has previously been unheard of. Most of this has been overseas in countries like Africa and Brazil, but we have an organisation here in Australia distributing them to small communities in the Northern Territory, etc. They're REALLY awesome little laptops and provide the kids with an excellent foundation to understand computers, networking, programming, etc. And they're soooo cute and designed to be unbreakable by little people! They fold up into a little green and white case shape complete with handle and padding in case of drops and bumps!

We have one here as a development machine. The first few batches were given to programmers in the linux community so that we could develop software for them and help remove any problems remaining with the operating system and the applications already on there. It will be a perfect little toy for Alyssa to play with once she's interested in computers =)

    Hello!!!

Gosh I think its been like a week since ive been in here.. been so super busy. I dont think I will be able to catch up so I wont even attempt.

Um things are good here, Lucas is much more settled now though still feeding a few times in the night but I dont mind cause its our time together.

For some reason over the last few months I havnt beem able to wear white gold without it making me itch or making my ears infected so I got a pair of yellow gold earrings and my ears are fine.. DH suprised me with a new wedding set yesterday in yellow gold so now I can waer my rings without my finger getting all itchy & red.

Tan- Laila does that aswell.. I will say " 1" and she will pipe up "2"..

It's very quiet in here today.

SW - That's a great picture. Thanks for explaining it. What a great idea. Can you get them anywhere? I think I'd like one for the boys.

Zee - What a great DH you have. Great to hear Lucas is more settled.

    Feeb -

We got our immunisations earlier. We had to wait for like an hour just to get 3 needles. Hopefully for the next lot of shots I'll remember sooner and can catch the immunisation clinic at the community health and not have to go to the GP like today. Haydie was mostly quiet the whole time we waited, and went really good with his needles. Only cried a tiny bit then I gave him mummy cuddles and he fell asleep in my arms. He's just his usual self at the moment too, so I hope it stays that way.

MIL won't be here till late tonight instead of this afternoon. Kind of annoying, but eh what can you do.

I think they go on general release in late December. To buy them they are quite pricey, however. The intention is to give them to children in need, so if you just want one they charge a lot for it as a "give one, get one" type of thing. You have to donate one to a child to be able to buy your own. You don't get to nominate who to donate to - they give them to those with the greatest need.

More information is here. It really is an incredible programme. I think we're just lucky to have it because of where we work. We get lots of gadgets like this way before release (ie, we had PS3s at the office since before they even designed the outside shell that you see!! Same with the OLPC - we've had them at various stages of their creation including when it was just a circuit board with a few chips and they were trying to make it run ANY programs as a proof of concept).

The next version that they are working on now looks even cooler. Can't wait until we can get our hands on one of them!

    Hi ladies & Bear

    Hope u are all well

SW- Thank-u so much for ur advice about ezcema I really appreciate it. I went to the doctors & told me to use Dermeeze but said to me if that's not working then I should get the strong stuff it's called Elcon something like that.

Anastasia - Elocon. Yes, it is excellent. Hubby uses that on his skin for when his outbreaks are really bad. I was also using it on my BBs in the early days to heal the damage from breastfeeding (when I was severely cracked and bleeding!!). It heals skin REALLY fast - you will probably notice results overnight.

Dermaid 0.5% is a similar cream to Elocon, but non prescription. It is an over the counter thing, you just need to speak to the pharmacist about it. It's not as strong as the elocon, so I'd probably prefer to start with that for baby skin rather than jump straight into the full strength stuff! They should do the same thing, but dermaid will be gentler and take a little longer. We usually find it only takes a day or two on really bad outbreaks to get them back to a mild case of dry skin, then taking a lot of care to frequently moisturise takes care of the rest of it.

Elocon is also amazing if you have things like paper cuts or almost any kind of skin damage. Stings a bit when applied, eases within a few seconds, and amazingly fast heal time!!

Just make sure to keep moisturising him even after you clear this lot up. Prevention is far better than cure, and the only way to prevent is to moisturise frequently. The docs reckon kids with eczema usually have far better skin than kids without because they learn really fast to look after it properly (or suffer the consequences)!!

SW- Thanx for that. The only pain with the Elocon is that I have to keep going back to doc for a prescrition, I just wish that u can get it over from the counter. But anyway I won't use it yet as u said & the doc that it is much stronger, so I will for now use the Hydrocortisone cream that I have, it's helping not that red as it used to be. I just hope that it doesn't spread anywhere else. I do moisturise every bath time with QV, & always moisturise his face everyday as well. Should I be moisturising his whole body everyday or just bath time like I am?

moisturise his whole body twice a day. I usually moisturise Alyssa's face and legs (and arms if not wearing long sleeves) every second nappy change.

To keep it at bay, you really can't moisturise too much =)

Kell: I have uploaded the pics, I'll copy the links at the end. How's your head today? Did you get all the cleaning done?

Tenny: I'm not fully in the xmas spirit yet but I am getting there haha I have done nearly all my xmas shopping now so just have to wrap the presents, once the tree is up I will get really excited! Elijah's so clever!! You should definitely be proud of him! Yeah its so cute when they are being cheeky....but I won't let him know that LOL. Thats great Hayden went well with his needles, I hope he stays that way too!

Zee: They are little parrots aren't they? Frustrating but too cute! Great to hear Lucas is settling better now, its nice you can have that time with him overnight too. How is Laila with him now? Jayden is starting to get very rough with Ash whereas when she first came home he was so gentle with her.

Are we going to do a kris kringle thing for the babies? If anyone is interested can you PM me by Sunday 23/11 please and I will get something organised. I think a $10 limit, what does everyone else think?

Here are the blankets & Jayden's stocking and Santa Sack.....

I've also uploaded some more photos on facebook just of a spider and a frog (not in the same pic though) I really wish I had a better lens....Maybe I should ask Santa for that instead of a Wii??
Most of the family (SIL's & PIL) are going down to Bris this weekend, I decided to stay home so SIL #4 & 6 are coming over for a photography party....SIL#4 has the model up from me and she did my pregnancy ones so now I want a turn and also get some of Ashlea and me (Jayden if he will co-operate).

We had a storm here this arve/tonight, nothing like what bris got but decent enough.....Mel this is why I'm not coming down this weekend now, I don't want to drive in storms haha and I have no one to look after Jayden tomorrow.

Hello to everyone I missed oxoxox
