Oh, I guess I should be here in the Newborn forum.. but it's so empty...

    Forum Name: Newborn
State: Berlin, Germany / Sydney, NSW
    Baby's DOB: 21/11/2004
    Baby's Stats: (at birth) 3320g - 49cm length - 36cm Head
    Gender of Baby: Boy
    Baby Name: Wolf Patrick
    Baby's Website: www.babiesonline.com/babies/s/snowmonkey
Health Concerns: (e.g. eczema, reflux, colic) none yet

All is well here. Wolf is a wonderful baby, very content, doesn't cry much. I can't believe it and am waiting for the zombie to come out...

Hi Tegan! Congrats again on the arrival of Lily!

How are things? Enjoy being a mom? Isn't it the best thing in the world

Where is Caddie?? Hope she'll join us here soon!

Are you getting much sleep at night? Wolf has serious difficulties sleeping for longer than 3 hours at night... it's so tiring... I think he needs to do a bit of catching up with his weight and that's why he feeds ALL THE TIME *sigh*

Lily is doing quite well. Waking every 3-4 hours, sometimes 4-5 hours. She's feeding really well, she's a total guts! She's a very relaxed little bub. She's just gorgeous!

Feeling rahter tired, but getting used to this waking up business.

Only real problem i'm having is finding clothes that will fit her! You'd think for her size(9lb 7oz) that she'd fit into a perfect size 000. But no! I've found that some 000 are too BIG for her!! And others are fine. I've bought some 0000 clothes and they're the same size as some of the 000 ones. It really is getting on my nerves quite a bit! Has anyone else had this problem?

Tegan, I'm glad to hear that Lily is doing well. With the cloths there is no standard size so they just put whatever they want. Usually bonds are on the smaller side, target are on the large side and pumpkin patch and osh-kosh are in the middle (but not always). Most tags specify the length and mass that they are made for which is a more reliable indicator of the size but not infallible. They grow so fast that what fits one week may not fit the next week. I've been given so many cloths that my little guy has grown out of some of them before I've even taken the tags off. Its kind of annoying because he has so many cloths that I have no excuse for buying them myself

Well Lily had her first outing today. Went to our local shopping centre. Was soooo busy! She got weighed at the chemist. She's now 9lb 15 1/2 oz and 52.5cms! She's now also drinking about 20mls more of formula than normal, so i think she's going through a growthspurt. Nooo, my baby is growing up already

    Hi Tegan,

they grow so quickly, don't they? Wolf got weighed and measured today. He has put on 1.1kg since birth (now at 4.4kg) and has grown 6cm (55cm length now). It's just amazing how quickly they change!

Yeah, I find the Bond suits are quite small... the tag says 6kg and 60cm for 000 but I really don't see how he can fit another 5 cm in that suit - it seems stretched to the max already (he has really long legs). I have some suits that are a size 56 (i.e. they fit 56cm lenght) but they actually seem a lot bigger than that. I find that most suits are really really baggy on Wolf (or maybe he is just a skinny lad).

Well, this will be my last post in the newborn section - tomorrow we will officially be in the 1 - 6 months!
Caddie, I hope to see you there some time!

    Love

    Snowy
