You know, it's funny, but I can't really remember exactly what they all checked. I think they did weight and blood pressure, asked how I was feeling, in general, if I had any questions, if I was planning to use birth control and what kind, if I was still bleeding and when that stopped, if we had DTD and whether that was painful, etc.
I believe she also did a PAP test, but I can't remember for sure. (You'd think that would be the most memorable, but I think I'd had so many people checking down there from the last few weeks of pregnancy, and labour and recovery that I can't remember who looked, and why. )
Hope your visit goes well! Make sure you make a list of any questions you want answered!
At mine the ob checked my weight, felt my tummy to make sure my uteris had gone down, talked about contraception, asked if i had sex yet, asked me how things were, how i was feeling etc, asked if id had any pains in my legs, checked out me hoohaa (as i had stitches and an episiotomy) and applied some silver nitrate as i had a skin tag.
Think that was pretty much it.. just to make sure your getting yourself back to normal.
Btw.. DH and i were married on the 8th July 2006 too!!! I wanted the date to be 08/07/06
Oh i so know how you feel. I had to go back to the OB again a second time due to my skin tag and then for a few days had some issues out the other end, DH said i should go see the GP and i was just like noooo. I'll wait and see if it gets better, ive had enough of everyone looking at my so called "private" area.
Yeh i liked it too.. thought it was a good date for DH to never forget! :wink:
I think by the time of the 6 week check up I was so used to having my bits and pieces on display I didn't care less that my Ob had to check my episiotomy had healed up and did an internal to make sure everything was back where it should be.
He gave me a script for the mini pill (is that what it's called?) and talked about future contraception etc etc - it didn't really take very long but it was a relief to get it out of the way and have my body back to myself after 9 months!!
I haven't been for mine yet. I know I need a pap smaer done, but I am just not ready to have anyone poking around there again, not even DH poor bugger, I'm sur ehe is going to pop if he doesn't get sex soon LOL
