7wks post c-section - lots of cramping but no AF...

I had a c-section 7 weeks ago, followed by 5 weeks of bleeding/spotting, which I assume is pretty normal. However, for the past week I've had lots of crampy pain which feels like I should be getting AF, but there's been no bleeding. Just lots of pink, mucus-like discharge. Any ideas on what might be happening??? I would have sworn I was getting AF, but nothing appears to be happening. Just wondering if this is normal...

I bled on and off for the first 8 weeks or so. I bled for about 7weeks then on and off after that for what seemed like forever! The second c/s was the worst! I swear I bled for about 2.5 months before I actually got a straight forward period. With a c/s it does take a bit longer to stop bleeding. I cannot remember if I had cramping the first c/s but definitely after the second c/s as I remember being very confused! If you are bleeding on and off for longer than 12weeks see your doc. Thats the time frame my doc gave me.

Thanks Kirsty. Confusing is definitely the right word. I thought because I was formula feeding that I'd get AF quite quickly. I will just sit and wait it out and see what happens. If all is still hay-wire by 12 weeks will give doc a ring. Thanks again.

Its sooo confusing isn't it. I also f/f both bubs from the start and also expected AF to return pronto. Our bodies seem to have other ideas though!
