Hi Libby, I had my tubes clamped in 2000, the year after I had to have to left one taken off. They all say it is for good. I have read alot about it, and it would be easyer to have them reversed if u had the clamps or clips. If they cut and tie then it will be harder, there is a 50 to 80% chance to get pregnant after a reversal. But the % goes up if u have the clamp's, because from what I have read about it they say that if u use the clamps then there is more of a tube left, less scare tissue, but if they do it another way there will be less tubes to join together and more scare tissue. But if u are even thinking of having another baby down the track don't have you tube's done. It is a major op and takes up to 5 hrs, so think hard and u might be able to find something else. And they will look at your age as well.. Hope this helps
