    Unhappy Hair Loss Help!

Since I had Sari my hair is coming out at a rate of knots.. there is hair everywhere in this house, I even find them in Sari's nappy when I change her and my hair is tied back most of the time.
If I wash my hair huge amounts come out and then when I brush it after, I cannot believe how much comes out then!
I take pregnancy and bf multis, I drink heaps of water and eat healthy (most of the time).. any suggestions?
    Cheers

Same has happened to me.. i think all those months of having strong hair while pregnant has now reversed!! Not sure what you can do about it except put up with it. I find it everywhere too and i hate always pulling it out of Jesse's nappy. I wear my hair tied up to yet still its everywhere!

My cousin experienced this after one of her pregnancies - she lost all her hair. Nothing could be done about it back then - around 15 years ago - but things may have changed now. Maybe you could have a chat to your GP about it.

When you are pg, esp in the second and thrid trimesters, you lose a lot less hair than you normally would. a lot of women notice their hair looks great during this time.
When you have your baby and the hormone levels change, its normal for your body to "catch up" so you lose more hair than you otherwise would for a bit.

If you are still worried though, ask you GP as hairloss can also indicate other things.

That was my story exactly! I seriously thought I was going to go bald. It did take a few months to stop although can't remember how many, I think somewhere around 4 months.

Mine is falling out in clumps too. At this rate I'll look just like DH who is bald!

I had this too! It was really weird too, it began one day when DD was about 5 weeks old, and it fell out in handfuls daily for about 3 months and then one day it stopped. No kidding. I had a shower thursday and about 300 hairs came out, i had one Friday and lost about 5. It just quit overnight.

Since then it has grown in very healthy (despite a low thyroid problem) and though i now have kind of a stupid hairdo (thick and healthy for the 6 inches next to my scalp, thin, crappy and wispy for the rest of its (18 inch!) length) i'm just glad i didn't go totally bald.

Add me to the list! My hair is everywhere and I always wear it up as well Netty. I haven't found any in Abbey's Nappy yet though...
Someone once suggested getting your hair cut might help - didn't help me. It was getting my hair cut that made it start! I am actually starting to receed a little on the front sides... Soon it will be a competition in my house as to who has more hair! JK It is starting to receed though... I am thinking about wigs....

Add me too! My bub was born the same day as you Netty, and I've got to brush my hair before each shower because I'm scared I'm going to clog the drains!

I also leave hair all over the house. All I can say is YUK!!! I was the same with DD#1, and it did stop - eventually!
