I have no idea if you're overweight or not, but after the baby, do you want to weigh less than you do now? I'm just thinking, as far as I know, the longer you stay a certain weight, the harder it can be to get below it. So for example, if you wanted to be 70kg (or whatever), I'd suggest get there first, and then fall pregnant, and then you have less work to do down the track.
I guess, in a perfect world, we'd all be fit and healthy before falling pregnant, to make the pregnancy easier on ourselves and also to minimise the risk of things like gestational diabetes and blood pressure or vitamin deficiency issues. Snacks has a good idea though - you could always check with a doctor/ob/dietitian to see what they'd recommend. All the best, whatever you decide.
