I had a fairly minor labial tear, but required about 7-10 stitches because of awkward positioning of the tear, and the midwife/doc was concerned it might not heal properly and cause problems. Anyway, we DTD at about.. 4-6 weeks I think it was? Mainly because the stitches took ages to dissolve and they got slightly infected so I had to take some ABs.

Once we did DTD again there was no pain whatsoever though. Felt completely normal but then DH was quite hesitant and careful too because he (well, we, really) were abit concerned it would hurt me, so it was a lot gentler than usual
