Question The Mini Pill and AF

Can the mini pill completely stop AF from arriving?

    Yes.

When I was on the mini pill with Lexie (before DH had his little "procedure", LOL!) I got some small amounts of breakthrough bleeding on occasion, but no AF at all. Drove me mad.

As soon as I stopped taking the mini pill I had a "proper" period.......

(I also had no AF when on the mini-pill with Charlie.......but then I realised I was pg with Lexie....arghhhh!)

    Thanks Lucy.

It`s strange I really expected breakthrough bleeding since I have had problems with breakthrough bleeding on the combined BCP but nothing so I`m glad for this but I would like a monthly AF - am I odd wanting it??? It`s just so I know where I am IYKWIM.

Honey, I hear you! I posted about the exact same issue about 5 months ago.....I am the same: I wanted a regular AF so I know whats what! I think it's normal.......we have it hard-wired into our brains to like the cyclical nature of a monthly cycle.........

Dee, I can understand how you feel, but try and enjoy it! I have the opposite problem with the mini pill - almost constant bleeding. So I don't take it!

Just an update on this: after 7 weeks AF decided to turn up and was so heavy for days, she ended up leaving the building 10 days later, it was just awful. I`ve told DH once I`m sure we`re finished having children he`s getting the snip, he can do his share.
