Ashlee, it's a hard one, isn't it. The mini-pill is not supposed to affect fertility, I guess it's just a question of whether you are comfortable that there is no effect that is not yet known. The bonus of the mini pill is that it's been around a long time and lots of studies have been done, which is why "they" are confident to say it's safe for bfing and doesn't affect bfing.
My problem is I can't take it as I get constant spotting. But if it works for you I'd say it's a good option. Other than condoms there aren't many options while bfing, which is my problem atm. The other thing to consider is that bfing is 95% effective for 6 months IF you meet ALL THREE of the following criteria: Exclusively bfing (ie no formula or solids), feed at night (ie once they start sleeping through you need to look at other contraception) AND no AF.
