I have had some shocking headaches too - for me it was dehydration - i have been drinking lots more water and they have gone away (touch wood)

I think it's worth trying to get more fluids in. Breastfeeding can really dehydrate you and I found that each time I fed I'd just have a water bottle with me and sip as the feed happened.

Other than that, if it is really bothering you it would be worth a trip to your GP just for some peace of mind.

Inertia... Post birth there is a huge diuresis - losing all of that fluid can cause headaches as can the hormonal shift. It is not unusual. Having said that persistent and severe headaches really need to be investigated.

I can tell you personally Ihad them post birth with all of my births. Get checked honey...
