Sorry... I am probably going to sound really wierd.....
I gave birth to my beautiful boy 2 and a half weeks ago. At the end of the first week my urethra began to feel funny when I stood up, as soon as pressure was put back to the area it felt better. It still feels the same way now... not all the time but a lot of times when I stand up. It's hard to describe how it feels but I guess it feels as though 'something' is in there still.
Has anyone else had this happen to them or does anyone know what may be going on?? Is it maybe just because everything has been stretched 'down there'??
I had a feeling like that for about a week after the cathetar especially when i stood up, felt like i had pulled a muscle down there! i was very uncomfortable walking, it did eventually go away..hopefully it does for u too. might pay to give the hospital a call? sorry not much help
I had a similar thing and couldn't feel myself pee for about a week - really weird feeling - but it did go away. I would call the midwife at the hospital you gave birth and talk to them, otherwise I would see your Dr if it doesn't improve soon.
I had the same thing for a couple weeks as well, and I had major bladder leakage a few times. I think by about 3 -4 weeks after birth, it strted feeling more normal again. I think mine was due to tearing near my urethra (requiring stitches) and the massive amount of swelling I had.
Hope it fixes itself up quickly for you.
Hi dan,
I get a heavy type feeling down below, probably to do with the catheter I had aswell. I also dont gt it all the time, and find I am getting it less and less now.
Hopefully, it goes away for us
