Red face Pain when DTD...TMI warning....

Ok so it has only been just over 4 weeks since I had James, but I have had this ongoing issue since I had Isabelle. I have had a few months since she was born pain free but the rest of the time I has been so painful to DTD Im surprsed we were able to get pregnant.

I feel like I am scratched all the way in, no amount of lube will really help although on good days that is the only thing that gets me through. It feels like we have had sex fo 4 hours straight (remember those days ) and the friction just aches and stings dring and after. Last night we coudn't even finish, although it was the first time in over 4 weeks.

I asked my GP about it fter I had Izzy but he just said, oh thats odd you had a c/s and that was that. He also said some people have pain when DTD but didn't say there was anything I could do. Someone once metioned that breastfeeding hormones can cause it but I still had it when I stopped feeding Izzy, although I was pregnant then too.

Anyone have the same thing or any advice.. combined with my body image issues at the momen I feel for poor DH right now.... and for myself too.

Tan, sounds like your oestrogen levels might be low. There is some hormone cream which can help with that. Why don't you ask your care provider at your 6 week check up. A few weeks of using the cream should be all you need. GL.

I know my mum had dryness and pain problems when she had oestrogen issues and she used to buy wild yam cream which was natural.
I used to find I was the same as you describe just after AF for some reason, had to use lots of lube to cope!

yep - definately an oestrogen issue - we ar ehaving the same probs and did with Willy. My lovely dr presribed me oestrogen in the form of the gorgeously titled 'vagifem' and i'm sure you can guess where you have to stick it!!!!! I've only been using it a few weeks and have yet to try dtd since starting it but am praying it helps. Apparently it's to do with bf so my dr tells me which makes sense as i was unable to bf my fist and had no probs with him but fed my 2nd and was still having probs 10 months after his birth (c/s too) and now Isla - bf and probs. Not stopping the bf though just using the extra oestrogen.

    good luck

Oh wow - thanks so much ladies. I really hope something will help so i will let my GP know that this is what I think it is Heehee! He really is lovely but a bit clueless at times. Just out of curiosity does it happen when you are breastfeeding or is it a general pregnancy thing??

ok, I'm thinking something different to everyone else based on my own experience...

I had painful sex since I was a teenager & finally after having DD I went & saw a Dr. I was hoping after having a baby vaginally I would have "stretched" down there & sex wouldnt hurt anymore. But it did.

The Dr sent me to see a gyno. The gyno said it sounded like Endometriosis. He sent me for a laparoscopy & sure enough found endometriosis. he removed it at the same time. I ended up having 3 operations that day LOL

Can you see a gyno & mention my case & ask if they could check for endometriosis?
