do you get good light through one of your windows? maybe throw the room open to sunlight and see how it goes! will dry it out and hopefully bleach it as well...

Definately happened to me, its terrible... I thought mine were heavy before... I now bleed 5 days solid, then 2 days of spotting.

I was gonna say the sun. Apparently lemon juice or vinegar are natural bleachers (bleachers? lol YKWIM) but I haven't tried it before.
Hmmm, google thinks a little hydrogen peroxide should do the job.... lol

Mel, I only got AF last month and ****, I went through a super tampon and a pad in at least half an hour, I kid you not.
It happened on the day I had to go for DS's christmas concert and I ended up having to leave.
I just got AF again a couple of days ago and it seems a little lighter. I have never had such heavy flow before.
I had a c/s with Bella, u think that maybe it's cause of that????

And moving the mattress to near the window - god would have to move a truck load of crap out of the way for that to happen - heavy crap.. lol... hmm.. I'll keep thinking...

I found that post partum and as long as I was breastfeeding, my periods were really, really heavy and quite painful. They didn't really get back to normal until I stopped breastfeeding. And (wah!) I got my first pp-AF six weeks after each baby. No lactational amenorrhaea for me, worst luck!
