I am just curious if you can be doing too much in the way of walking for exercise? I don't walk everyday but I do notice after I have been for a walk the amount of bleeding increases. Should I back off do you think? Like I said I am not doing anything major, just a walk to the shops every other day or so. Its a good walk though, but I do take my time. I don't set out to "exercise", just to go get milk & bread or get the boys out of the house.
I bled for AGES with my first, 11 weeks. I was told then that it was likely that there was just one part that wasn't healing up & when I walked it rubbed the spot & caused the bleeding to pick up again. with my second I bled for about 9 weeks. I sure hope I am not in pads for that long again! Not with summer around the corner! YUK
I always noticed that my lochia was heavier if I had been doing a bit, like walking or even after cleaning the house and washing. I would get a pain across the hips too, but I think that was to do with the relaxing hormones as well.
Yeah - you will make things worse. If your bleeding gets worse after doing something, its a pretty good sign that its too much.
About a week after having jenna I trained with my junior netball girls, and got lots of clots that afternoon/night, not to mention my pelvic floor was a little weak.
I talked to the midwife about it, and she said TOO SOON!! I had thought there was a finite amount of blood to come out, so if it came heavier, that was normal. Apparently not - it you get worse, then you have been naughty.
Thats just what I was told. I think my lochia lasted for about 3-4 weeks? AF was back about 6w later.
Yeah we've had to have a few walks & everytime I get home I have a big gush of blood. We just went to the shops & walked for around an hour & yep...its all back.
