Just a few suggestions that I can think of :-

    Milk coming in/engorgement/mastitis = fever
Any placenta issues with the birth of your beautiful boy?
There are some really bad throat/flu/infections going around involving a temp
I am not sure if you had natural birth - but if you have stitches anywhere, no sign of infection or increased soreness?

Hope it is nothing and you are just a bit run down. But that high temp would indicate infection of some kind IMO.

You could also give HealthDirect a ring and talk to a nurse who should be able to give you some idea.

There are a lot of bugs around atm where people have fever, you may have picked something up in hospital.

    Hi Kel
I think it would be a good idea to get checked out ASAP. It sounds like you may have a bit of the placenta still inside you. However as others have said there are many causes of a high temp.

This what happened to me with DD and I had to have a curette to flush out the rest of the placenta - was not pleasant at all, go andhave yourself checked hun.

Personally I wont be leaving the hospital this time till they give me an US to make sure its all out, last tiem they even said the placenta was "intact".

thanks to everyone for your responses and concern. i didnt make it to the drs today but will definately be going tomorrow. still feverish thoughh not as high as the other day. i dont think i have mastitis i've had it before and this doesnt feel the same and i have no other symptoms of it (red spots, tenderness...). not sure about retained products or infection, have had both of those too and dont have other symptoms of those either(sore belly, different discharge...). So i think it might just be the flu or something. im hoping it is anyhow!
