When did your tummy go down?

    Hey,

My tummy is still, well.... there. I mean, I don't look 40 weeks pregnant any more, but I do look about 16 weeks pregnant.

    Does it EVER go away?

I didn't have a washboard ab stomach before but it was pretty flat. Struggling to deal with this jelly belly at the moment!

Ahh Sue, mine took ages to go away with my DD but this time around it's gone a bit quicker.

It seems to take a while to get going - apparently I have a "lazy" uterus, it takes a bit to get contracting after both births but eventually got there.

DS is 11wks and I'm still quite a jelly belly... My nephew is 7mths and my sis still has a little belly! You'll get there!

Don't forget it takes 9mths for your body to change for the baby... You gotta give it at least 9mths to change back!

Good point OP, I never thought of it like that!!

My bump was HUGE with missy - I do need to give it some time.

I'm a bit like Olive, mine goes down pretty much straight away. And I'm the opposite to OP, my uterus shrinks really quickly post birth.
Every body is different. It will get there.

Yeah, Kate my abs separated too

I was told to be careful on the abs exercising. Wasn't given a specific time to wait though, might just ask my GP when I see her again.
