Annnnd it's over! And the pain is gone. Well, not gone, but it's so bearable and mild, and was only this morning. I don't think I've ever had a 4 day bleed! So, first AF in 19 months summed up: way less blood, way less time, way more pain.
Glad that it's over for you - I'm only just jumping in on this one, but my second AF's after birth were like that, the first were more spotting, but when the second one came, OMG! Hope all is well next time for you!
I had the same happen after having my DD2. First five or six AFs were so hellish that I thought about going for a hormonal contraceptive (previously sworn off!) to see if it helped. This last one has been totally bearable though, she's 19 months, so I think it's maybe my 6th or 7th cycle? I don't know whether time has been a healer or... my other totally crazy theory... it's an epic amount of junk food I've been having over the last month. (crayzeeee, right?) I'm usually a pretty "clean" eater, but this last cycle I stayed with my MIL, who worships canned, frozen and otherwise preserved food, and who I think is trying to fatten me up. I don't think I'll try it again though.
