Depo has the same ingredients as the mini pill so those options are preferred for breastfeeding mums. Other than condoms also

I'm having a mirena put in sometime over the next two weeks. Hoping it works really well with no side effects. We aren't sure if we want more kids or if we are done so we wanted a long term temporary option for the next two years and then DH will be having the snip.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

I guess we will go for the condoms for now - and maybe I will have the implanon back in - it agreed with me last time.

I am crap with taking the pill and the depo can last WAAAAYYY longer than three months (like years for some people) till cycles return to normal - so its out too! We don't know when we are going to try for #2 - it took us so long to conceive last time - so its making it hard to know how to time things - but thats a whole other thread LOL!

We are using the pull-out method

It's worked so far...but once DP didn't pull out in time (sorry tmi) so I'm really risking it I know!! I have to work something out...

I guess condoms are the easy choice (and less messy!) I really don't want to go on the pill again. And I don't want to be pregnant anytime soon either!!

    .
We did that for the 14 mths that I BFed DS2. Did feel a bit like we were rolling the dice each time, though.
