if its gotten heavy and is lime a period then I agree with l&b. I once had a random 18 day cycle when mine are usually 35+. it happens sometimes. I guess you'll know in the next few days if it goes for as long as af does usually

Thanks guys. I was freaking there.

I've always had a 28 day cycle (since I was 10!) so to have a 21 day one is foreign to me. I know I ovulated last Saturday, got really bad cramps whilst shopping and it was day 14 of my cycle, which is typical.

    How weird...maybe it's my age!

It could be from something as innocent as weight loss? Or stress? Even spending a bunch of time with new females can affect your cycle as you sort of start to sync up? The body is an odd thing!

It doesn't sound like your AF if you ovulated a week ago. If your cycle is short it is due to a short follicular phase. Your luteal Phase doesn't shorten like that.

I definitely without a doubt ovulated a week ago.

I don't hang out with many chicks, one is pregnant, the other hasn't had AF back yet from having a baby so it's not that unfortunately.

Maybe it's my hormone levels since I've been getting hot flushes lately and pimples...

Could be implantation I asked my FS about this once and he said there are so many reasons for mid cycle bleeds he isn't really interested in them unless you have a short LP.

could be also as you little one is dropping feeds
enough to screw your hormones around and could cause a big surge of hormones that kick AF on

The luteal phase can shorten. It's governed by progesterone, which is produced by the corpus luteum, which in turn was developed by a surge of estrogen. So, if, for example, the surge of estrogen was weak, though you may have ovulated, the corpus luteum wouldn't be strong enough to produce enough progesterone to sustain the lining. This can happen as egg quality diminishes. Or it can happen sometimes, just because. Just as sometimes you may have an anovulatory cycle.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes a regular occurrence.
