I hate my uterus more than it hates me. And it hates me a lot.

Hope you feel better soon Trav x

This thread is nuts. Why the heck are so many of us screaming in pain every month It's so wrong! There's something not quite right about that...

Anyway, Trav, have you thought that there might be more going on - i hate to suggest endo, or a cyst or something?

As I said it's been a few years since I had periods, but last time the gynacologist did a scan and said there were no fybroids or anything, and I seem to remember my periods as a teenager being almost as bad before I went on the pill so I think it could just be me. I know I have heavier than normal periods (thanks to my mooncup for proving that to me in ml's ) and that is worse than when I was a teenager but I think that's normal after kids, especially after twins and a massive placenta site.

I'm fairly certain I have some sort of uterine prolapse going on though, could that make things worse?

Since my lap for endo I can get away with nurofen, panadine and nurofen plus - not all at once of course! Before my lap nothing seemed to work, I was on indocid years ago can't even remember what type of med that is!

And yes I am lop poking forward to menopause as well!

In regards to ablation - ask Trillian. She has previously provided some very interesting info on it. Can't for the life of me find it though.

I have two days of hideous pain each month (the other days are tolerable when I swallow iboprufen). I've also had asprin before which also works.

If I'm at home DH will fix me up a hot water bottle a couple of iboprufen and, in the evening, a brandy. I swear by the brandy. It's my great-grandmother's advice. The only trouble is that it gives you a killer headache in the morning! You can feel the brandy warm your belly. Combine it with a hot water bottle and a girly movie and I can make it through.
