Uterine Cramping? Causes?

Hi Ladies,

Not too sure if this is the right section but yesterday just about all day until i went to sleep (around midnight) i was getting pain in my uterus (quite high up, but at the very bottom of my belly) and it would either go straight down or across. This is way different to period pain (AF due tomorrow) and I havent had ANY period pain cramping.

What could it be? Is it normal?
