Awwwww what a special time for you and your DD I suppose at least she only has today at school and the rest of her period she is at home so she can learn how to manage it. I have been thinking for a long time that I want to get my DD's some gorgeous cloth pads to use for their menarche and get them in the habit of using cloth pads right away. Do you think she'd be into that at all? I see it as a way of making you feel nice at a time when it can be a bit yucky kwim?

My DD buys her own pads & tampons now and she buys Moxie brand. They're in very girly looking packaging, which is probably why she buys them.
My DD has been using tampons pretty much from the start too as she was invited to attend a male friend of the families beach party a few days after getting her period for the first time.
