I was looking on the main website & seen that you can go the "free" personality test. I was click through & was going to do it, but in order to gain the results you have to go along to one the churchs. So I stopped.
There does seem alot about it that is very interesting.

I hope this doesn't come across as bad, but if it was started by a science fiction writer, how can they believe its true? KWIM isn't it all just science fiction then?, the bits about the alien etc. There are probably lots of religions that have a very similar pricipal with out the alien part. But that said, I also don't believe in "Adam & Eve" but I still find the stories etc interesting.

Hmmm I wish there was more information readily available to look at.

    Thanks for that Niass!

FJ some people believe the bible is a fictional story, yet bits and peices taken from that form core beliefs and values.

    DHs cousin is a scientologist.
I don't have a lot of information, as none of the rest of his family are, and I've never asked her as it doesn't interest me a whole lot, however if you like I could ask her if there are any publicly availbale resources (i.e. online) that would be good to look at?

I guess its no different to me believing alot of the greek/roman/norse etc mythology. I like a lot of those stories and like to believe in the ones that appeal to me. Hell it just like parenting! I listen to others stories/suggestion & do what i agree with.

yeah i'm the same, i'm inspired by bits and peices of religions or faiths and i incorporate those things in to my belief systems. Despite being formally catholic i don't practice.

Rayray thanks but that's okay, i think i've had a fair insight for now

If you are still interested you could always stop and have a free stress test the next time you pass a scientology stand at a market or wherever else you might see one (there's one at the market I go to). It doesn't say scientology it will just have a sign up saying "free stress test" and some Hubbard books scattered about. I'm sure the person behind the table would be happy to give you an insight.

No that's okay, its not for me from what i can gather. But its a deeply interesting religion none the less.
