Sunflowa i am a bit confused- so you were not pregnant at all- you are just having a heavy AF? Or you are still pregnant???

I took your post as that you werent m/c becasue they came to the conclusion that you werent pregnant to begin with.?

My thoughts are that you were pregnant- (WARNING THIS POST CONTAINS WAY TMI>> LOL) you just had a very early m/c.....

Maybe because you had already been bleeding for 3 days before you went to hospital- you had already passed the tiny cells and you were pregnant.... but three days can mean alot to tests and all the things that tests pick up on showed that you werent preg now.

Did you do a hpt or did you just "feel" pregnant? Were you late?

I have a simialr story- i was a week late and getting numerous faint lines- but no definitive lines- and they took awhile to appear- i took myself to the dr on the thursday for a blood test and got called back in on Friday- however AF had started friday morning.... so i went to the dr to bet old that i had a level 9 Hcg level (2 is not pregnant nything above is considered "maybe" and more tests done should have a doubling of the number everyday if all is well)

The dr was calling me in to say i might have be preg

When i told him AF had arrived, and i told him it was painfull, clotty and very red he said it appeared i had a very early miscarriage- something many women have without knowing- like if i hadnt been ttc and testing then i might have been a bit late- but would have thought nothing of it. He said to see how i go and if i start to feel sick to go to the hospital.

But i FELT pregnant- i have been pregnant many times and i am getting very intune with that early feeling- and i felt it, plus this test was taken BEFORE AF had started- yet my level was already very low- HAd it been higher and dropped? Maybe the if i had pf had a bt the day AF was late(like the thursday BEFORE it might have been 50 or something and then dropped to 9 as i started to m/c- hence it would have been 2 or zero after another 3 days.... like the tests that came back for you. I did have another bt on friday and he never called me with the results- so i am assuming that it was 2 or less.

The next month i had a REALLY bad AF- at one point my partner took me to emergency because he thought i may have been heomoraging (how i lost my last baby) they checked me out and said it was better to be safe then sorry and the nurse was a bit concerned about what had happened the month before and recommended i see my ob- not just the gp (i had been to a gp for my bt coz i couldnt get into the Ob- but i had booked an appt with him for as soon as i could which was funnily enough a month later and so the next day)

So I did go see him and we did an exam- more bt and and it turned out i had an infection- got some antibiotics and was on my way.
He decided that nothing was left in there- (long story about aspririn and anticardiolipin antibodies) as it didt implant

I am now off aspirin and i got one faint line last month before AF arrived.

I dont know anything about metformin- no help there sorry!

I hope you are feeling ok and i would recommend you go see your gp or ob and get a swab to see if you have an infection- and if you felt preg- dont feel like an idiot- you probably were- it was just over before it had a chance to start. If your bleeding is still bad and you are in pain- (above the obvious usual- anything un usual for you) go back- did they check you for infection?
