ok so i woke up yesterday morning around 4-5 weeks preg an went to the toilet as normal an noticed i was bleeding ... i immediately thought no im going to loose my baby so i gained the energy to face the fact an headed to my GP..he immediately took me into the examination room an had a look an said i had stopped bleeding but would like me to go to the hospital for further testing :'( so i headed up there an waited for hours then a nurse checked my blood pressure an temp then waited a few more hours to be told by the doctor that i was miscarriging he flet my tummy an i found it hard to belive because i bearly had pain he also explained that he would have to do a blood test an see if i was a negative blood type which i turned out to be an he then explained that its a rare blood type an my partner is positive blood so my body thought it was an infection an the baby wasnt gettin any nutrients an i would have to have an anti-D which is an injection to change the blood type an help the baby while waiting i went to the toilet an noticed a clot :'( :'( which obviously was my baby my doctor said now ive had the shot it should prevent any further miscarriages or problems in other pregnancys
ebsta - I know exactly how you are feeling. I went through an identical situaton.
Fell pregnant after first time trying, few days later i started bleeding. I went to hospital and they confirmed it would be a miscarriage and as i have a negative blood type also which is very rare, they gave me an anti d shot just incase the fetus lived - but it didnt.
I let my body go through a normal cycle before ttc again - then the next cycle after that i fell pregnant and now i am 36weeks along! Do not get to down as hard as it is i know. You will have a beautiful baby soon and you will get that BFP very soon. Best thing i did was accept that things happen for a reason - there might have been something wrong with that fetus. I moved on, and focused on the future and didnt stress to much about it (okay i did...and nearly got depressed, but i realised that getting so worked up doesnt get you anywhere!).
I know what its like to want that BFP NOW - NOT LATER - NOW! Just like many other women know what its like, and sadly many other woman still waiting.
Goodluck with it all and i look forward to hearing your progress.
Ebsta,
first of all bug hugs for your loss, I too have only just completed a miscarriage which started the week before Easter. I too was only 5 weeks when my bubs heart beat stopped, I had alot of tears and no answers to why, which I find really hard to deal with. As I am a beleiver everything happens for a reason but I want to know the reason as to why it happened. I had alot of spotting to start off not much bleeding at all, then the cramps started and they were exactly like contractions just not as severe for me and they were exactly 1 minute apart then after going for a long relaxing ride on my horse hoping that this would get things to move along for me I started bleeding very heavily after a week of spotting. The heavy bleeding only lasted about 5-6 hours for me then continued like a near normal AF with small clots up until I passed bub on the 8th April 2010. My miscarriage was natural thank goodness and never needed a D&C which I am eternally greatful, cause I would not of coped to well with that. I still get a little teary now and then but have mostly dealt with the blow and am now working at getting myself fit and healthy to start trying again when the time feels right for me and my family. Out of all my friends that have children and rellies it's a sad realization when you sit and realise we have all had at least 1 miscarriage in our lives. I wish you all the best and hope you are feeling better soon. If you would like to chat please feel free to use my ears or eyes at it may be on here. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time and I know you will get your BFP very soon.
Hugs to you
Helen
Ebsta - oh darlin, I am so so sad for you right now, as I know your heart is broken, you are sad and confused. Go gently and take the time you need to grieve your baby. Take heart in Summers words, in time you will be so glad to hear that things can work. But for now, go gently and take care. Allow yourself time to grieve and time to heal.
