Gem - I had been having "tighenings" but without pain or crampiness for a while and have asked my obs about them on several occassions. He's checked me out each time and given me reassurance. It was more the change to them being a bit crampy that had me starting to think about them some more. The intervals were about the same so there was no change there and no other symptoms of pre term labour. I haven't had any today yet, but I will still call. But thanks for the support, I appreciate it.

Gem - can you believe it? I actually can't.... I can't beleive that that number....30..... applies to me. I can't believe nominally there is 10 weeks to go. It's going to sound odd, but I am going to miss being pregnant. I have been pregnant for more time than I haven't been these past 2 years, it will be weird not to be pregnant. DH and I went to a parenting education class last night and hilariously we had to practise different holding and soothing techniques on a doll whilst a recording of a baby crying was played. It was very abstract but not so bad at getting used to some of the different holds. We haven't told anyone there about our journey and thankfully no one has asked. There is a couple there expecting twins and it just really makes me sad sometimes, as our twins didn't make it. Something special about expecting twins. Their twins however are identical, so a sweet freak of nature. Ours were fraternal... so more chance of them in the future, especially given my unknown biological history ( I am adopted) and my age and PCOS. However, at the class interestingly most people don't really talk to the twins parents, but DH and I do. I wonder if people are just so glad it's not them expecting two? But then again, I am surprised that the couples are actually quite insular at the class and don't really mix that much. This week there was more conversation than last week though... so maybe next week it will be even better.
It's funny, I have the smallest bump in the classs. Mostly because I have such a long torso and I am quite wide through the torso, so bubs has a lot of room to wiggle around in and my belly hasn't needed to pop out as much. But it's weird... that for once I am the smallest.
I wanted to say thankyou so much for all of your consistent & positive support. It means a lot.
Dexy - how are you going? I can't see your ticker at the mo, but you must be about 25weeks! Awesome.

Dory... It's wondeful, I am so happy for you. Of course, when the time comes, your going to miss being pregnant, I think that is quite a normal process afterwards, you can always have another ;) and yes you will always think back in situations like that with the couple expecting twins. I am doing that at the moment, anyone I see who looks like they are about to go into labour. I take a moment to think what if, and wonder for a moment, what have they done that I didn't do, but I try not to allow myself to get carried away with these thoughts. I try to accept it and keep going.
Dory, With my eldest and youngest I carried the babe's all around. I remember with my first, someone was asking me about it, I told them I was 6 months and they found it hard to believe me.. I wasn't popping out either. With my second daughter I was carrying her all out in front and had a bigger bump. But from memory, I think she was the smallest baby. It all depends how they are positioned in the womb. Oh I am so excited for you Dory. When I was pregnant with my first, I was not as organised person as what I am now, I had planned on going to the classes, and eventually went to 1 with my sister, but it was discussing C section, which only made me scared lol thankfully it wasn't C section birth. I don't like the idea of C section, but I hear many ladies prefer this option... Have you written a birthing plan?

AFM I was going to go and get a test early lol only because I can be a bit impatient and I seen the other day many ladies on BB are testing several days before and getting a BFP, they say their is something in the water lol I might pick up some tests while I am out today, but I wont get my hopes up. I started to feel some tingly in the breast yesterday, I think that is a sign of AF just around the corner as I was also a little moody early yesterday evening too...

Gem - Oh sweetie...it is so hard isn't it? Something will invariably remind us of the journey we could have had. I do know what you mean about trying not to let yourself get too carried away with the what ifs. It's not that I don't think about the what if's but I also am conscious about missing the what's going on now if I spend too much time with the what ifs.
It's not anything you did or didn't do..... it's just a sad sad tragedy that your little Jayden isn't here with you now, but I think we all have to explore those feelings......I remember my Obs giving me the most generous gift in one of our appointments following Amelia. I said something like I have to live the rest of my life with the consequences of the choices that I made that night ( refering to when I went into preterm labour) and he graciously told me something like, nothing I did would have changed things. I still wonder but he gave me a gift of being relatively guilt free, which over time is the stronger memory and feeling, rather than the what ifs.
That's interesting about how you've carried each of your babies differently. I didn't think about the position in the uterus.
No birthing plan for me. Well not written. I suppose I am just taking things as they come for now... I don't have my heart set on anything in particular, except a healthy live baby. I suppose I would prefer natural with miminal intervetion, but if I or baby needs a C, or anything else, then so be it. But then again, having an experience with pain relief and without, there are pros and cons of each, and it's much easier to think about not having pain relief in the asbcence of pain. I am curious to know whether my perception of pain will be different with an at term, healthy baby? I did ask the Obs last time whether there was anything in particular he wanted me to start thinking about ( ie labour) but perhaps that question was a bit too non specific?
Isn't it weird how we al have our little tells of our impending AF or hormonal shifts? I actually get frustrated and irritated and sometimes angry, before AF. Haven't missed that. I am hoping that you got your tests and get a bfp.... Do you hide them from the kids? I would be tempted to do it when they weren't around, just to have the time to compose myself whatever the result. Fingers crossed for you.

I understand what your saying and couldn't agree with you more, natural is the best way and you may have a birthing plan prepared before labour, but come the day, and you may find that your birthing plan no longer suits. It is good to have a general idea of how you want to go about things, but don't get to stressed about sticking to it. You may choose not to use any pain relief, but its ok to change your mind. I think the only thing I made sure of was that I didn't have an epidural.. I made sure it was written in the birthing plan with all 3 of my babes, but when I was delivering Dylan, all I wanted was the epidural... He was such a pain, and he still is :P lol
I bought a test today and got a BFN. I don't show the kids, they have no idea. Hubby and I were talking last night about when we do get a BFP, when we will share the news with everyone. It's a tough one, because when it happens, I am going to be so happy that I could yell it from the rooftops lol, trying to keep it a secret will be so hard. I don't know if keeping it a secret is the best thing to do. I think if the worst case scenario happens and people do know that you were pregnant, you have a few extra shoulders to cry on. Where as if you don't tell people, and the worst case scenario happens, you have to suffer in silence so to speak. I think maybe I might be ready after 8 weeks, any longer than that I will be struggling lol
No AF at this point, but not really expecting it yet anyway... I think it should be sunday or monday... I forget now lol
So to change the subject completely, I took my daughter into town this afternoon and bought her a wig. She had been loosing all her hair from one side of her head and so I took her to the hairdresser yesterday to try to tidy it up a bit... it was so so so short and she was not impressed, but she was over the moon when she received her wig today. The smile she wore was just priceless. So it's been a good day, taking the mind of things and doing something like that. Oh you should see her with her wig, she looks so beautiful, I haven't seen her like this for so long.

Hi guys, sorry I've been MIA for a bit. Haven't had interent credit for a few days and been having some emotional issues lately (to do with DS waking up several times a night & screaming every time he wakes up, and me venting on FB and having people condemn me for venting on there... would they really prefer that I take it out on DS rather than venting on FB? Idiots, the lot of them!)
Anyway, apparently I'm 12dpo today (I O'd late on CD21 this month instead of my usual CD14-16)... I've had sore nipples and BB's for 3 weeks now, been having AF-type cramps for 2 1/2 weeks, been feeling nauseous almost every day for 2 weeks, been moody and crying over nothing for 2 weeks, and this morning when I woke up I had a bit of pinkish/brown watery/creamy CM! I'm going crazy, really, thought AF was coming today of all days (I've been told repeatedly that it is actually my birthday today and I'm feeling old at only 23 lol). Anyway, the pinkish/brown watery/creamy CM disappeared before 10:30am (I woke up at the ungodly hour of 7:35!) so now I have no idea what's going on and I'm feeling rather confused!
Also, my temps are really high (4 days of 36.8, then 36.9, 36.8 & 36.9 again this morning) and my chart is looking very nice and curvy lol Out of a total of 8 charts that I've done now, it looks the best and curviest of all! (I'm very impressed, can't you tell? lol)
Dory - WOOT WOOT! Almost 31 weeks now! I'm getting so excited for you :) I had a dream about you last night lol I don't even know what you look like in rl, but I just knew it was you in my dream and you rang me up to tell me that you had made it to 41wks with no sign of labour and it was looking like you were going to have an 11 pound baby boy! lol weird, but so happy at the same time.
Gem - Here's hoping it's just too early to tell :) Hope you're doing ok darl :)

I try not to be such a misery, but the thought it there. Maybe next year will be different? I am liking the sound of your dream - esxcept maybe the 11 pounds! Sorry to hear about DS - is that called the night terrors? Sorry you are getting flamed by trolls on facebook. It can be very upsetting I'd imagine.

Dexy - hiya! Hope all is well.
AFM - well I have been indulging in some misery in the absence of my little fur baby. I cried after I dropped him off at the vet, then came home and cried some more then fell asleep to avoid the misery. I haven't been sleeping well, as I notice his absence mostly at night, when he's a real snuggle puss. But I call the vet every day and he's doing really well. Even though I know the vet is not likely to be giving him much attention, I am comforted to know he's in that vets care. The vet kissed my little man on the head after he examined him on friday. And my little man enjoyed it. How reassuring is that? I miss him a lot and am counting down the sleeps til he comes home..... only 18 to go and only 4 sleeps til DH can start visiting him. The other two furbabies have been quite good in his absence - a little subdued but trying to give me some comfort. What sweet little creatures. Boy they are in for a surprise when this precious little one comes home.
Anyway girls - I ahve my fingers crossed for you...... am hoping for some very exciting news soon. Big hugs.

AFM - I done another test this morning, gee I am impatient aren't I lol... still got a BFN, still no AF at this stage... maybe it'll be late this month like it was the other month, or better still, maybe it won't come along at all... We had a good day on Sunday, we lit candles for Jayden and I found it not so hard to get through the day. I done a little talk to a small group of people and went to the cemetry afterwards... Today I have been feeling awesome. I woke up this morning, got the kids off to school after two weeks of holidays. Went and paid some bills and stuff, and bought myself a sausage roll ;) yum. Came home, done some reading. Got on the treadmill for a little while then drove to yoga with pete murray blaring through the stereo in the car... been a really good day and I am feeling wonderful. I wish all days were like today... anyways, I better go.. love and hugs to you all.

Worked out the EDD is March 30th... which was also incidentally my new 4 month old cousins due date this year lol
Can't wait to tell hubby when he gets home that this mornings test has 2 lines as well :)
I used Crystal Clear, so today I might just invest in a digital test & a first response test and test again tomorrow morning and thursday morning as well!

Things still looking good here :) Got myself some first response tests yesterday and did one around lunch time yesterday... the second line was almost as dark as the control line!!! You can see it HERE
I feel like I've been floating on a cloud ever since lol
With the last 2, I always felt that something wasn't right & and that something would go wrong, but with this one I just feel that everything is good and nothing will go wrong. I still worry a little bit (will be doing another test today and another tomorrow just to make sure I'm really really not dreaming lol) but it's not as bad as it was the last 2 times... or even with DS lol I worried quite a lot with him.
So I've been super tired, the headaches have kicked in already, I'm so bloated I look 4-5 months preggo already lol and coffee makes my tummy churn, bb's hurt like crazy (never had that happen with DS lol) and I'm craving Cheese! On everything too lol. Last night I had dry crackers with cheese & banana on them Yummo! No MS yet, that has to be good. But then again it kicked in around 6-7 wks with DS and from then onwards I only had a total of 10 weeks during the whole 41+5 days of being preggo with him where I didn't have all day sickness lol
I can't wait to put my ticker in my sig lol, but I've decided to wait until I get to 8 weeks to do that, as when I get past 8 weeks it seems to be my safe point.
MrsDex - It's great to hear from you! Glad things are going well :)

DEXY - It's so nice to see you again... glad things are moving along smoothly for you. I hope that you can some how work out a way to slow down a little. I hope you get your 'A' button fixed lol... make sure you get the old one back, so you can place it next to your laptop and anytime hubby starts laughing at you because your computer isn't co-operating, you have something to throw at him LOL... just jokes. Good to see you back in the thread, we've been missing you!
Jen - OMG how many tests will you do lol... I done another test the other day, it came up with a faint line, but going by experience, I still class it as a BFN... my line was not as noticable as yours though, that is a definate line... Still no AF, fingers crossed it stays away... I have one more test here, I figured I would wait a couple days before re-testing... I kinda wish I could test everyday but I don't want to singlehandedly keep the pregnancy test companies in business LOL Whats this digital test you speak of?
Dory - How are you doing love? I hope your cat is doing fine and your not to worried about things with him. Hopefully your other kitty cats are giving you lots of snuggles...

Jenna - CONGRATULATIONS - can you post a link to the other tests you've done? I want to share the excitement. Like Gem I think the first two are clearly BFP's! Well done, I am soo soo happy for you.
Gem - I still have my fingers crossed for you.... Thanks for asking - my stripey fur baby is doing well according to the vet nurses but as of yesterday was getting agitated at being in the cage in the radioactive bunker and likes to mess up his cage! He gets into a bigger area tomorrow and DH can start to visit him. Yeah then only 2 weeks til he comes home! I do miss him terribly. It's really odd how quiet it is without him. The other two are being good company though. I have a bit of a cold at the moment and feel surprisingly miserable. Not sure whether it's because I am pregnant, or I have more time to indulge in those feelings or whether it's because I can't take any cold and flu tablets. Normally I would be working, training and playing sport through a cold like this, instead of being snuggled at home, sleeping! But then again, I have taken lots of precautions during this pregnancy, so I guess I can't expect to cope with illness like pre pregnancy.
Dexy - thankyou sweetie. I just keep pinching myself that I am this far along in this pregnancy. I almost believe that this bubs will be coming home with us. Look at you ! 26 weeks! My wardrobe is t- shirts and pj pants at home and when I go out preggers jeans/pants and preggers shirts. As I am not at work or out and about much I actually have a small maternity wardrobe! I am not showing as other people, and in fact I don't look as far as long as I am. I think it's because I have a long torso and am quite a wide torso. Bubs has lots of room without having to jut out just yet. It's hard to slow down - I probably wouldn't have except for my experiences and my Obs. I always used to believe that pregnancy isn't a disability and I would lead a "normal" life, just like I saw my friends do. But for me , that's not a reality and I think I just have to accept that and I think for the most part I have.
AFM - not too much going on. DH and I are working our way through our baby PPP program - one more 2 hour session. I have enjoyed it - the information, starting to think about baby coming home and actually preparing for some aspects of that, meeting other expectant parents. Only a couple of times have I been sad. That's not too bad.

Gem - only done one more test, didn't end up testing yesterday so tested this morning and it's just as strong as the other FR test.
Dory - The other link is in my last post lol, right at the end of a sentence. I'm 5 weeks & 2 days today!!! So excited.
afm - went to the doctors to get the results on my BT from tuesday... Definately Pregnant :) I'm so excited, so is DH now that it's confirmed :) He was speechless when I told him (he was at work and called me to find out how it went). Spent hanf an hour this morning as a pin cushion getting all sorts of BT's lol I'd forgotten how many you need to have when you get pregnant lol.
I go back next tuesday to get the results od those and get a referral for an Ob, planning on doing shared care between the Ob and a midwife at the hospy this time, so should be interesting.
Hope you're all going well :) I know I am (apart from slight queasiness in the mornings lol).
