Hi everyone!
I recently came upon your site while looking for support after my 8/13/08 miscarriage. You all are so very supportive and have helped me through quite a rough journey.
I was expecting our first child April 2009, when everything came to a tragic end. I saw a small amount of spotting and alerted my Dr. After a stat u/s, I was told that we had m/c @ 5 weeks, 5 days. We are eager to try again very soon, however I am a little scared it might happen again. Does anyone have any miracles to share? I want this in the worst way. Is trying again as soon as I ovulate okay?
I am looking forward to making new friends! I feel like I already know you.
I'm sorry to hear of your recent loss. It's best to stay positive about ttc. Unfortunately there have been many women on here who have angels, and have also gone on to have children. I miscarried last year at 5 weeks, so I know how devistating it is. Each person is different, and get told different things about when the best time to try again is. I was advised to wait 3 months, which I did. Speak with your dr and see what he/she suggests. Good luck.
So sorry you have lost your little bub - its never easy.
I had a m/c in April (10.5 weeks) and my Dr said to wait until I had had one complete cycle and try again and here I am! Its nerve-wracking but so far so good.....
Alknop, I too have experienced an early loss (not that it being early makes it any less significant). We lost our miracle bub at just 5 weeks 1 day. Our Dr says its fine for us to start trying straight away but I that might be because our chances of a natural conception are very very slim due to DH's sperm. Sometimes they want you to wait 1 cycle so they can date the pregnancy more accurately... that doesn't matter heaps to me so we are happy to just start ourselves and we just want to hold a baby in our arms.
Hi Ruth08!
Everyone here is so sweet and caring! Your advice really helped me today. I have been thinking a lot about what everyone has said. I think a huge part of my recovery was realizing that I didn't cause this, and that I will have a healthy one soon. I am staying positve, and I feel emotionally ready now to start trying again soon.
I am very sorry to hear of your recent loss of your precious angel as well. You sound like a wonderful person who will give a little one a special life someday. Thank you for your advice.
I just want to give you hope i had a misscarriage in october 2006 at 8 weeks and then took 12 months to conceive but I did nearly 12 months to the day of miss and i now have a 6 weeks 2 day old baby boy!!
It can and will happen you just need to stay positive. It is cruching each month that it doesnt hapen that AF arrives but thats when i would look to try something different, i got lullaby conception pre seed lubricant. I also spoke with a naturopath and used progesterone cream and vit b tabs.
Congrats on your special little one! It was so refreshing to see that you were able to conceive so quickly. Yeah! I hope I am able to accomplish the same thing! I will keep you posted.
hi guys!
So, today, I got a call from my OBGYN, saying that the prenatal labs I had done(before I found out that I m/c) came back with a negative RH factor. I am scheduled to go in and have a Rhogam injection Friday. That being said, I am currently ovulating, and was given the go ahead to conceive from my dr. I guess I am just curious if anyone knows if there is a risk of getting the injection and conceiving so close together? My dr. did not say anything, but did say that I need this to have a healthy pregnancy. Please help!
alknop ~ I'm so sorry for your loss,i can't even imagine what you're going though right now. I've helped/supported my best friend through a M/C at 9weeks. I would've given anything to have taken her pain away for her. I can happily say that she fell pregnant agin within months of her M/C to have a beautiful healthy baby boy.
Take care of yourself hun
