    Should be 12 weeks today

I had my 12 week u/s this morning. As soon as I looked at the screen and couldn't see a baby jumping around, I knew my thoughts of the past few weeks had come true. The sonographer asked me how sure I was on my dates. I was 100% sure. I told him I had an u/s at 8 weeks and there was a heartbeat. Today the baby measured at 8 weeks 3 days with no heartbeat. It makes me wonder if it was the maxilon I was taking for the m/s or the zofran tablet I had in the emergency department when I had my scan at 8 weeks, or maybe it was just meant to be.
I am booked in for a D&C on Thursday.

I know these things happen for a reason, I think what makes it hard is the fact that now we have to tell everyone that there is no baby, and pack away the things we have already bought.

    Thanks for your time reading.

awww thats so sad it made me shed a tear i know what u are thinking when u wonder what could have happened, the thing is we will never know i just took two aspirin this morning for a headached ive had for 3 days straight as the box said its safe as long as your not in the third trimester, now online it says it isnt so now im doing the wondering as to whether ive just hurt my much wanted miracle. I feel your pain as i have been there before myself, also at a 12 week scan. I try to think of it as its natures way of ending a pregnancy that would have produced a very sick baby or mother, its hard i know but we have to find some logic in this awful time. I wish you all the best and wish u all the strength in the world to get through.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. I know I will get through this - I have to for the sake of my other 2 kids and my hubby. It's just a matter of how long it will take.
