My cousin and his partner just lost their baby girl born sleeping at 38wks. They have decided that they want all the tests done to try to find out why. Is there any hope for them at all to find out? She looked perfect in all regards when she was born, she just looked like she was sleeping. I just hope for their sake they can find out what happened to their beautiful little girl.
How traumatic for them, my prayers go out to them! Im sure the docs will find out why especially if she had a good OB. My good friend lost her baby boy at 24weeks because she had a weak cervix which doctors didn't know she had so she could carry the bub. She had to deliver him naturally and he died after 5mins after birth. She was devasted and understandbly so. I wish your cousin all the best and hope she finds the answers so this doesn't happen again.
My angel passed away on a week ago, I was only 6 weeks but she/he was still my first baby and will always be in my thoughts.
My heart is always broken when I hear of yet another baby grow angel wings... Hoping your cousin has lots of loving and supportive people around her during this saddest of times. It is unlikely they will find a cause I am afraid - most often a cause sadly cannot be found. We don't have the answers as to why this happens - hopefully in time to come we will know more and be able to prevent these deaths - but for now many parents never know why.
