can't hold a baby for more than 6 weeks.

Hi everyone. My name is anastasia and im 30 years of age. My husband and have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years and no luck. i had endo metriosis but now they are gone. I did have 2 miscarriages and my 2nd preganacy i saw the heartbeat and my specialist said that it looks great. but the next day i had blood clots and had a miscarriage, we did a curette to test the tissue and there was nothing wrong with the tissue, we a genetic and chromosomes blood test and everything is good. i just don't understand. both miscarriages i lost at 6 weeks. we can't hold it for more than 6 weeks and i don't know why. if anyone out there who can give me advice or like to talk that would be great. thank you and take care.

Oh sorry to hear that you dont feel positive about it. You may feel like that because it is easier to cope with if neg rather than dispointment of hoping for a positive.

IVF sounds very draining on couples you need a medal for going throught it all

i had a complete mc the 1st time, the 2nd one i had to do a curette. they did test the tissue and said it's all good, no problem. the 1st time i had pain and bleed but the 2nd one no pain at all and saw the heart beat, the 1st one i didnt see the heartbeat.

MMh its very frustrating and upsetting when ther is no reason for it.

my ob said to me that everyone happens for a reason and it is natures way of protecting us even if there is no answers on tests.

as true as it is does make u feel any better thought at the time.

Stay positive and it will happen and you will soon have a gorgeous baby in your arms.

Try not to stress to much

If it doesnt happen this month go away on a holiday for afew days and relax

Hope it all works well and your baby sticks!!!

Anastasia- I’m so sorry for your losses.

I wonder if it could be low progesterone. Did they test your hormone levels when you were pregnant? Some doctors believe that the body naturally lowers progesterone when a pregnancy is failing for another reason (the drop signaling AF to appear), but some women have low progesterone in non-pregnant cycles too.

Do you chart your cycles? If you have a short luteal phase, or one with erratic or stepped temperatures, it may offer some clues.

Or maybe the endo is interfering?

I’m sure the FS is on top of it, but that doesn’t make it any easier to cope, does it? I’m sending feel-better vibes your way.

    (Hi to Feeb too!)

Hi Anastasia. I'm afraid often it's just one of those things that the medical profession can't explain. One thing I have read on here though is that some women have something called MTHFR - it's genetic I believe and can cause m/c. It's something to do with not being able to retain folic acid in your system and if you have this you get prescribed high doses of it to carry a pregnancy. Perhaps you could ask your FS if you've been checked for it.

I share your fears. I'm pg again now after 2 previous m/c and I also worry that I wont get past 6 weeks as I never have before. I've decided to be as positive as possible, take my vitamins, not eat any rubbish at all and hopefully all will go well this time.... what else can you do????

Anyway, I wish you well for the future.

Yeah Satya, you stay positive babe!... I've read that the chances of mc increase quite dramatically with the attitude of the mother. You will be fine
